Nelson came to my house when he said he would, he even called in advance to say he was on his way. He was very professional and, best of all, my refrigerator now works again. I was afraid I would have to buy a new one. Now that the repairs have been made I'm hoping to get another few years out of this one. Thanks Nelson!

We had our refrigerator go on the blink on July 4 and Nelson was closed that day but his voice mail said he was closed so that was OK. Nelson was exactly on time and told us that our motherboard on the fridge was blown and he had the part on his truck and replaced it in under an hour. He was polit, professional and knowledgable and the best part is that he had the part in stock so we did not have to wait for a week to get our fridge fixed. We used to use Glyn's but they were bought out and the new owners NEVER have parts in stock so you have to wait a week or more to get repaired. I highly recommend Nelson, he knew what was wrong immediately.

Called Nelson and he worked with my schedule to come out and fix my problem. He diaganosed that the cooling fan (the one that keeps the condenser from overheating) had died and needed replacing. He had a new one in his truck and finished the job without having to come back again. Working fine. Very good experience with him. Nice to find a serious, courteous contractor here in Miami. He saved me from having to spend over $ 1000 on a new fridge!

I called Nelson this morning and left a message hoping to get an appointment later today or tomorrow. Nelson called back in minutes and confirmed where I lived and was able to come over immediately. When he arrived as promised he told me there was not charge for the diagnosis. Nelson was able to make the diagnosis and rather than sell me a part that potentially could have costed over 700.00 (a new compressor), he consulted me on my options without pressure and I realized at that point I was going to need a new Refrigerator. I then asked how much for the diagnosis he told me nothing again. When is the last time anything had a cost of zero? Nelson was great on all accounts and I will use him if I ever need a refrigerator repairman. As well, refer to my friends!

Freezer in refrigerator would stop working. Sometimes it corrected itself within a day, sometimes it would be off for several days. This condition happened on a Friday night and on Saturday morning, I called Best Refrigerator Repair, Inc. and left a message that I was an Angie's List member and I would appreciate it if someone could get back to me first thing Monday morning. Nelson Munoz called me promptly on Monday morning and I gave him the history of what was going on with the refridgerator. I asked him to please come as soon as possible because if it started to work again, it may difficult for him to figure out what was wrong. He said he would come that day and arrived well within the time period projected. He came in, he had all his tools, he had to scrap off a thick beard of ice from the back wall of the freezer and then when he took the back panel off, there was another wall of ice about 2" thick. He recommended the defrost timer and control be replaced. He had everything he needed in his truck! He is very tidy and put all the shelves and baskets back into the freezer compartment prior to presenting his bill. The cost for parts and labor was very reasonable. The refrigerator is working perfectly now. I really appreciate his prompt response and the fact that he could fit us in the same day we called. Thank you Nelson, I will definitely be calling you for future repairs on all my appliances.

Everything went much faster and better than I had expected and it has worked like new ever since.

Best Refrigerator Repair replaced a defrost heater in my refrigerator.

The repair person that serviced my washer had worked with Sears for 37 years. He was very personable and I really liked him. I was thrilled all I needed was a belt, and didn't need to replace my machine. His quality of service was excellent, but I thought the pricing was a tad high. I would definitely use him again, and would recommend him.

We had a Kitchenaid refrigerator which was leaking water from the freezer into the refrigerator. We received your January 2012 magazine and happened to see the cover article on the Best and Worst Contractors. Among the best, was Nelson Munoz of Best Refrigerator Repair, 305-610-0062. I called him 1/4/12 PM and he came 1/5/12 AM. Nelson also called to reconfirm the appointment the morning of 1/5. He was on time, knew right away what caused the problem--a frozen drain--and fixed it in about an hour. He was very neat in his work, and professional in appearance and equipment. His fee, $125.00, was reasonable. I will definitely use him again. Thank you, Angie's List, for providing a much needed service to us laymen who have no way of knowing how to find reputable contractors for various kinds of work and repairs. The owner/repairman diagnosed the problem, accurately, fixed it quickly and pointed out some of the problems we may encounter in the future, which, however, were not that threatening. Over all a very professional job by a repairman who knows and loves his work.

From start to finish it was truly a pleasurable experience. Normally, I don't like strangers in my home but this experience with Nelson has certainly been unexpected but welcomed.

I contacted Nelson to come give me an estimate to repair my ice maker and immediately he was at the house not only looking at it but fixing it. The ice maker was frozed solid so he asked to please thaw it out and call him whenever it was ready. He kept in very good contact and was very accomodating to my schedule. He fixed several parts that I had broken, trying to fix it myself, which saved us alot of money. He followed up after all the work was complete to make sure everything was working okay. He was very professional and I would definitely recommend and use him again.

The freezer on my side by side was cooling but not freezing anything. I called and explained what was happening and the gentleman asked me a few simple questions about it's operation. He arrived at my home in less than 2 hours. The gentleman was clean cut, well spoken and very knowledgeable. He took a look at the appliance, showed me the burned out computer board and gave me an estimate. I agreed to the price and he went to work and had it up and running in lss thn an hour. I consider the service to be professional, courteous and fair priced. I will definately use him again if the need arises!

My refrigerator stopped cooling (it's a 2nd fridge I have in the garage for overflow.) I was ready to buy a new one since this one was 10 years old, but decided to try and have it fixed. I called Best Refrigerator on July 5, he came to look at it on July 6 and was able to fix it. It was a simple repair of the heater which allows the ice to not build up in the freezer. By the next morning, all the ice had defrosted, I turned the fridge back on and was good to go! Nelson was very forthcoming with everything he was doing with the fridge. He told me how much it would be beforehand so I could decide if I wanted to fix it. He was honest, reliable and very competent. I would definitely call him again, if I needed repair on other appliances. He even adjusted the door on the fridge so now I have a working light in the refrigerator section! The gentleman was contacting me back within 20 minutes of my message. He scheduled the visit for the next morning, before12. He was properly here around 10 AM, I described the problem, he performed a clean up of the appliance filter and it was back working properly. He did not try any ''exotic'' or deceitfull games like some contractors do... The charge might have been a bit steep for the service performed (filter clean up)... But, overall, I am satisfied and would trust him for future repairs...

Fridge was in home when purchased and ice maker worked perfectly. Called to schedule an appointment on Wednesday but Nelson stated he was booked for Thursday but would call me if he had a cancellation but original appt was scheduled for Friday at 3:30 pm. Nelson called prior to arrivnig at the house; he provided an estimate of $195. He was honest, prompt, and courteous. I would definately recommond him and use his services again.
