We rented a single family home managed by this company, I Golf Realty. On move in day we found the property to be in a completely unacceptable condition. When we complained about the condition, we were told it was much better than before they cleaned it, so we shouldn't be so picky. Dried crusted fecal mater on the toilets, food and trash under the stove and under the cabinets, and multiple broken faucets were dismissed by the agent, Marilyn Golden, who told us it was a 14 year old home and that was normal. Keep in mind we were paying $2500 a month for this place and had made a $4000 deposit. It took our broker calling their broker, Mo Hotchkiss, to get someone to actually clean the home. The agent, Marilyn Golden was then reprimanded by the broker in front of us. The cleaning crew was supervised by the agent, Marilyn Golden, and made to stop after a short period of time prior to cleaning the home to a condition that I would consider acceptable. The agent, Marilyn Golden, would not allow them to vacuum the carpets and insisted that she had them professionally cleaned already. My wife then ran the vacuum herself in one bedroom and filled the vacuum canister with dirt/dust. Upon attempting to clean outdoor fixtures ourselves, we had several of them fall apart. These were not fixed by the owner/managers. The refrigerator had multiple broken drawers and the agent, Marilyn Golden, had replacements that did not fit, shipped to the home for me to install myself. While living in the property, we had issues with insects and snakes inside the home, doors that did not close completely, and air quality that made both of us physically ill. When we called for A/C repair when the motor burned out and were told that if it wasn't really a problem we would have to pay for the visit. Yeah, the motor is burned out, I think it really needs to be fixed. Upon leaving the property we were presented with a list of things needed to be professionally cleaned. The carpet would have to be professionally done and the cleaning would need to meet up to a certain written standard. Too bad these standards weren't in place when we moved in. Overall, I was shocked by the total lack of professionalism displayed by this agency. I would not ever recommend them or use them again for management or rental services. I suspect that a significant amount of my deposit will be used paying their friends/family to re-clean the property despite the fact that it is in much better condition than it ever was prior to my living there.
