In the spirit of full disclosure, I was a licensed real estate professional many years ago, so I have certain (extremely high) expectations on the level of service a Realtor should provide. I took a new job that resulted in me moving to Boca Raton from Atlanta. I convinced my relocation company to allow me to use a family friend as a realtor. That didn't go as well as I would have hoped, and we agreed to part ways. I received another recommendation from an aquaintence, and that is how I met Jason. I was already skeptical of Florida Realtors, especially after I had such a negative experience with my first agent as well as some bad experiences with the listing agents on properties on which I had submitted offers. The market is very different in South Florida! From the very first day that I went looking at homes with Jason, I was convinced that he was going to be a keeper. He told me that his differentiator was responsiveness and customer service, and I found that to be the case during our frequent interactions over the months it took me to purchase my home. He exhibits the following capabilities at the highest possible level. These may seem like table stakes for an agent, but Jason does them so well that they truly become a differentiator: * Follow-up / Follow-through * Promptness & punctuality * Courtesy and compassion * Genuine warmth and friendliness * Patience and positivity To better illustrate this, I submit three examples of extraordinary service provided by Jason. The first came as we made an offer on the home which was ultimately accepted. My fiance was still living in Atlanta, and we bought her a plane ticket to come down and see the property that I had under contract. When she came down, one of the seller's contractors had taken the key from the lockbox and the owner was out of town and could not be reached to get another key. Because Jason knew how important it was to us to see the property, he worked with the listing agent to see if he could get a locksmith out at his (Jason's) expense just to make sure that we could get in during the two days my fiance was in town. The second example came as we were re-negotiating the contract based on findings from the inspection and attempting to line up the closing date which kept moving for a multitude of reasons. During this time, Jason and his wife had their first child. I kept him in the loop via email as things progressed, fully expecting that he would be out of pocket for a week or two. Instead, I continued to receive timely updates from the hospital as he remained engaged and actively assisted me in closing out issues. His response time never suffered even though there were some unexpected twists and turns during the delivery of his child. The third example I'll share came at closing. The property was a foreclosure and we realized as we picked up the key that there were no garage door opener remotes included. Jason felt awful about not validating that the remotes were available with the home, and tried to convince me that I should allow him to pay for them. There are so many more examples I could list, but you're probably tired of reading by now. He worked well with all of the contractors (inspectors, agents, title company, lender, HOA, etc) to make moving truly seamless for me. He took care of everything so I could focus on my new job and helping my fiance move down to Florida. Jason is a great agent, a conscientious and trustworthy service provider, and a great human being. I cannot imagine using anyone else to buy or sell a home in Palm Beach County. If you are thinking about buying or selling a home, Jason at Perez & DuBois should be your very first call. You will not be disapppointed. In fact, once you do a transaction with him, I can guarantee that you'll become a raving fan posting your own stellar review on Angie's list!
