Lou's Plumbing

It didn't go well in my opinion. Didn't even ask if they could schedule me for the following day. Very disappointed.

They were very prompt and the plumber and quot;Alanand quot; was clean, polite, friendly and very accommodating. His tool box was very orderly and he didn't have to go in and out of the house. A real gentleman and professional. Have already told friends about Angies list.

Quick response to our request for an estimate. Work began a week before Thanksgiving. Demolition and removal of old tiles in shower was done quickly and efficiently. New drywall was installed over separate bathtub. We had to call them back to do some additional sanding as some areas were rough. Tile and new fixtures were installed in shower. We noticed that the tile for the floor was different shades and brought that to Lou's attention. Because of the holiday, things took a little longer than we would have liked. They ended up removing all the tile from the floor and replacing it with new tile. However, when that was done, one of the wall tiles was cracked. A few days later, they fixed that. After using the new shower 3 times, we noticed a leak on the drywall near the shower door. The door was removed and additional caulking was done. By this time, we were a few days from Christmas. Eventually all the problems were fixed at no additional charge to us. Lou and his subcontractors were all professional. The job ended up taking almost a month. In the end, everything looks fine, but there were a lot of issues that needed to be resolved to get to that point.

Everything good but they did arrive late.

Alan at Lou's Plumbing did wonderful work for us, and he did it in such a kind and friendly way. The next time we need a plumber, this is the only company we will call. We're close to completing a long kitchen remodel, having done most of the work ourselves. My husband disconnected our old sink and dishwasher before demo, and thought it wouldn't be hard to reconnect them. Turns out it was not so simple, and after a lot of effort on our end, we decided to get help. We have a new sink, new garbage disposal, nearly new dishwasher, and new wiring for both the dishwasher and disposal, but no new pipes. Our 1950s house has a drain pipe that hits near the middle of our kitchen cabinet instead of at the bottom, and we were struggling to figure out how to work around that. We called Lou's Plumbing based on Angie's List reviews. The scheduler on the phone was extremely nice and got us set up right away. Alan arrived exactly on time, and called five minutes before he arrived as a courtesy. The work was excellent. He had everything sorted out, and it all fits together well. He made our new sink and disposal work with the old pipes. It turns out that the disposal shipped with one tiny component missing, so Alan installed everything with that one component left out, and showed me how to hook it up once the part arrives from the manufacturer. (Our disposal is made by KitchenAid, which has some non-standard parts.) I thought the rate was extremely reasonable, especially compared to what we've paid for plumbing work and installation of new appliances in our house in the past. Alan could not have been better to work with. He is straightforward, professional, and kind. So glad to have finally found a plumbing company to call whenever we have a problem.

It went very smoothly in my opinion. During the changing of fixtures was a temporary leak in the opened wall and some water sprayed. Alan had to do some drilling and adjusting since the new fixture I purchased was slightly different. It was understandable with the modifications we may hit some snags. It was cleaned up, and since Alan was so nice and calm, it was no big deal. After he left I noticed the rug was wet under a piece of furniture and cleaned it with the shampooer. I don't think he realized the water got under the dresser. He had mentioned earlier that he thought most of it went into his tool box. What impressed me the most was that he was constantly working. Aside from about 5 minutes outside by his truck, this plumber was working continually. His work ethic and cheerful attitude made this a 5 out or 5 stars for me. If customer service is important to you along with fair pricing, this company is the one to call. I have another shower to work on and will call them and request Alan. I called as soon as he left to tell the company how impressed I was. I literally jumped for joy around my kitchen because I was so happy with the experience. I have done a lot of renovations and this was the least stress free. It is nice to get good quality work for a change.

Both times they came promptly and fixed the problem at what seemed like a reasonable cost. I didn't shop around because I can't miss a lot of time at work to do so, but the price seemed fair. I have their number in my phone and will call them the next time I need a plumber.

Although we did not use him for this work since we had another person already on the task, we would HIGHLY recommend him to any and all for their plumbing needs. Wonderful guy!

About 15 minuets later Wayne showed me one of the two badly rusted galvanized nipples. After another 15 minuets or so he was finished. Wayne even washed off the vinyl shelf liner which had gotten messy from the leak then hung it out to dry. I didn't expect that. Thank You, Wayne! Real People doing Good work at a Fair price.

Lou is a wonderful plumber. He's smart, prompt, entertaining and hard-working. I only call Lou and his team because I know I can count on his quality work. He's also reasonably priced.

Perfect. Alan was right on time, and did not waste any time in doing the job. The total time to remove and replace the heater was only about an hour or so. I have used Lou's Plumbing for several years, and was happy to see that the company is well represented on Angie's List. What gets fixed stays fixed. The staff always responds promptly and courteously and the work is first rate.

They did a good job in my 50 yr old house. He's not the least expensive but he did good work with no call backs. He is experienced at working with old houses in the neighborhood.

The service was great. What got fixed stayed fixed. That is the only thing that matters to me. I value expertise more than any other issue that is why I had them do the work. They guys showed up on time, cleaned up, and they were very respectful. I just like them a lot. To me, that is the only company that I will use.

Good work; on time; cleaned up after himself. I used Lou's Plumbing about 10 years before that, they replaced and installed a water heater. They have a lifetime customer in me.

Lou and his staff were very responsive and respectful of the home. They cleaned up mess and took debris away. We heard water running when it shouldn't have been. He came out and found leak in supply line. He had to go through an outside wall to get to it. Also fixed a pipe under the sink that was leaking. Quick and easy. However a couple days later water appeared again. The drain pipe was completely rusted through. He worked until he could find a good place to fix the pipe. It was a mess since thhe house is 52 years old. They worked steady at it to get it done and were always polite. Repairs were completed including concrete work. He was always completely candid and realistic about expectations. They mde a very stressful experience tolerable.

The water heater went out at my nieces house (which I own) and I wanted to get it replaced as soon as possible! Lou was able to and quot;squeezeand quot; me in the NEXT day. He charged $265 for labor to replace the water heater. The plumbing and electrical were already there, so he had to drain the existing water heater, disconnect it and connect the new heater. I have no idea if his price is competative as I just wanted to get it done and stopped looking the moment he said he could do it the next day! I purchased and transported the replacement heater myself (so that I could make payments on it) and disposed of the old water heater myself.

The sinks are all unclogged and the leaky faucet is fixed so in that respect everything is fine. I called Lou's plumbing and they were courteous and pleasant. I described the problems I was having and they responded by sending someone the next business day. The bathroom sinks and tub were taken care of on the first visit but my kitchen sink was clogged much worse than before. I have double sinks and when I turned on the disposal water shot up from the other sink and wouldn't drain down either sink. I called them back and the plumber came out again a day or so later. They charged $98 for the second visit which I thought was unfair since he should have fixed it on the first visit. I also have an unusual smell coming from under the kitchen sink that I asked them to look.into but they never gave me any feedback. I wasn't able to be home for either visit (another family member was there) so i would use them again but make sure i was home for the visit.

Matt came on time and was very courteous. Being new to Florida, we were unfamiliar with and quot;islandand quot; plumbing. Matt removed the old faucet and installed the new in about an hour. Then I filled the soap dispenser, but the bottle was too big to fit around the existing pipes. Matt replaced a short, straight pipe with a small elbow which made room for the bottle. We are very happy with the results and would hire Lou's Plumbing again.

Returned home to my house from traveling on Sunday morning to find a busted water heated and a minor flood in my garage. Lou's guys showed up in a couple of hours and did a professional installation. I had hot water by 3 in the afternoon. All of my experiences with Lou's have been great. Fair prices for professional services.

He arrived as scheduled, did the work he was prepared to do and some extra tasks that he had not expected to do (the countertop replacement and garage shut-off valve) He was there 4 hours. Everything went well.

They did an excellent job! They had to install it under the ac unit, which was no easy feat! Another company I contacted wanted to charge much more and wasn't certain they were able to complete the work. My tenant was very please with Lou's! They were in and out in a timely manor and were very professional overall.

They did a good job. He was very honest about the issues coming from the parts and took the time to correct an issue caused by the manufacturer, at no additional cost to us. He also took extra time to explain everything we would need to know regarding our water.
