Originally, we bought the Big Deal Tune-up and when the problem with one happened right before the appt. ARS was ready to put the maintenance cost of that one into a diagnosis instead. The diagnosis fee was then put toward leak detection. Fortunately, the basic detection showed the leak in the coil, outside our walls so we didn't have to pay for a more thorough detection. We could get the part under warranty. So the total price, although a lot higher than maintenance, was reasonable with most of the cost going toward replacing the freon. Through all the visits we were happy with the professionalism and expertise the technicians displayed.

They didn't even show up for the appointment. I called and the operator had to check with the driver and he had an issue he had to take care of and didn't tell anybody. This was the 2nd time that they failed to arrive for an appointment. They are terrible!!!

The young man’s name was Manuel and what stood out was that he did a very good job. The faucet then leaked when he put it in and he had to come back the following day because it just didn’t go together right. He actually was there for four hours because I have a granite counter top with an under mount granite sink and it took him quite a while to get it in because it was in a very tight space and he had to get it in there and I have older plumbing. He took a lot of time, he taught me about it and he showed me how I could fix it myself if it ever came loose. He was just very knowledgeable. He is probably the senior tech and he really just took the time to teach me about it, and he went over and above. So it went really, really well. Manuel was great and I wish I could give him an A plus for his professionalism.

Replaced A/C Unit, air handler and condenser Amana Pro 8000 4-ton 15 seer.

They apparently were behind schedule and did not make it the first day, and were late the second day. The serviceman was very good and offered good maintenance tips. I'll use them again and don't hesitate to recommend them to friends/neighbors. Angie's L ist coupon saved us .$30.

I purchased a Angie's List deal for a whole house plumbing inspection and water heater tune-up. I feel like a sucker for paying $50 to have a guy turn my faucets on and tell me if the drains are backing up. Total waste of money!

It went good. They did a pretty good job and I would use them again.

The Sales staff was very helpful and thorough. Asked how the current system was operating (too humid in the house? Cold spots/hot spots? Noise?). The installation staff was excellent. They were knowledgeable, fast and polite. They asked several times if we were satisfied with the work, if they had cleaned up after themselves to our satisfaction, etc. The price was higher than other quotes we got, but they guarantee the labor and materials for 10 full years.

This company never could diagnose the issue correctly. This wasted time and money. The first tech sent to my home was only a maintenance person unable to perform repairs. I called to have a repair done to my a/c unit but they were interested in selling a maintenance plan. After rescheduling for a repair person, the tech came to my home and replaced a part which worked fine for about 3 hours and the same original issue reappeared. I would run in the opposite direction from these people.

The only problem I had was that the thermostat that they put in with the system is not compatible and it was turning the heat strip on. I called them and they sent somebody out the same day I called them. He put a different thermostat on so I was happy with the service. They were prompt about it, came out and did it. I did a lot of shopping around and another company I called could not touch their price.

The ARS tech was on time and very polite. That is about the only good thing I can say. Jay from ARS said there was NO freon in the system (even wrote this on the receipt), so they could do a leak check but he was "98% sure" that there was "a huge leak" and the coil would need to be replaced. He said Carrier coils cost more than other companies, so it would probably cost about $2500 to replace the coil and - get this - $136 PER LB for the first 2 lbs of freon and $250 PER LB for anything over that (quoting me about 5-6 lbs total). He then told me that the indoor unit that they would put in would only have a 1 year warranty due to the age of my system (it's 5 years old) and I'd probably be better off buying a complete unit (indoor unit including coil and outdoor condenser) so everything would work properly together and could be under full warranty. Otherwise, my "condenser would probably break in a few years and I'd run into the same warranty/compatibility issue all over again." He couldn't give me a real quote but said a "comfort specialist" (read "salesman") would call me and set up an appt. Then he charged me the full price for a service call ($80). This didn't sound right (and I really didn't want to pay over $6000 on the spur of the moment), so I called another company (Aurora). The Aurora tech showed me that the freon was at about 60% and said there was probably a tiny leak somewhere. He is coming back tomorrow to complete a full leak test and quoted a new interior system (not just the coil) for about $1500 IF we need it - which he doesn't think we will. PLUS, Aurora charges $37 per pound for freon - which is ONE - TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS LESS PER LB THAN ARS!!! The tech put in 1 lb of freon so I could run my AC until he came back tomorrow and he will credit that amount to my service. He did NOT charge me any additional service fee. I will never call ARS for anything again. They are a total scam operation. I will review Aurora when the work is completed.

Their service had been very good. They are always on time and call if they are running behind. The technicians are friendly and seem to know what they are doing. I have never had any issues with their service.

Scheduled this service through a sales special at Home Depot. They contracted out to ARS who provided the service. Service tech was prompt and polite but was young and appeared to lack experience. Numerous times during the service call he had to call back to shop for advice. In the end we believe we got a quality job done but ...

When we scheduled our follow up for regular maintenance, they rescheduled us 3 times. That was the only issue. They finally came out for the maintenance. Everything else was great. They were also really nice and other than the scheduling issues, we didn't have any problems.

Everything turned out fine. We have had some issues with scheduling but other than that, everything has been good.

They mis-diagnosed the problem in the beginning. When the part arrived and they showed up to fix it they realized the diagnosis was wrong. They wanted to charge me for this trip even though I had to order the part myself and wait another week with a dripping faucet because of their mistake. The part came in and he showed up (really late because of the poor communication between the office/plumbers/costumers). He showed me a few things and I needed to call my contractor to ask him a question about the work I was having done. He would only wait 5 minutes, and began to walk out before I was through with my conversation. After I had already spent 2 afternoons (about 9 hours total) waiting on them and their wrong diagnosis, and another 4.5 hours that morning waiting for him to show up, he would only give me 5 minutes to make a call. If not for the fact that I my faucet had been dripping for 2 weeks (1 longer longer than it should have thanks to this company) I would have gladly let him leave and called the company I had been using all along. They never gave me an estimate so when I saw the bill for $231 I was a bit surprised. Then they said they may have to use a tool to cut something that would be $89 extra. When I saw the final bill it was $111 extra. I felt they were a little shady and only interested in covering themselves. I will never use them again.

They do a good job. I have a maintenance contract with them and about every six months they come out and do a check. As long as I keep the contract, the warranty on my heating and A/C still holds.

Company had serviced unit that came with house (unit was over 15 yrs old). After 2 months of service calls, my home warranty agreed to replace unit. The company came out on Monday to evaluate and was able to install the next day. The company had to make 2 service calls the first week due unit not cooling properly. Could not get temp in house below 77 F. During 2nd visit they increased the amount of freon released into the system to bring the temp down. No problems since last visit.

They ve never been late. They send out reminders ahead of time and come when they say they are going to come. They don t give you a window, they actually give you a specific time. They are a top notch service and I would recommend them.
