when we initially called, our air had made a popping sound and shut off. My husband called and set appt. for next day at 8:30 am. He was never informed the price of a service call or general cost of maintenance. By then, my husband had changed the filter, reset the air and it was working fine.
Robert arrived the next day at after 10 am. He went directly to the air conditioner, never discussing price. He went out o his truck stating he was charging a tool, or getting more tools. Came back in from the air conditioner after about no more than 15 minutes.Mumbled something about needing refrigerant that was $85. He had already added 4 pounds and should he add more? When my husband realized we were being charged $85 per pound he about fell out of his wheelchair!
Total cost-$510 for a 30 minute service call to add 4 pounds of Fre-on!
Invoice states time as being 1hour 10 minutes which time was spent charging his tools, and trying to talk my husband into a new unit. $170 for labor, $340 for refrigerant!
when I came home and saw the bill I knew I had to call as it was a mistake. Being after 5pm, I called "Dawn" the next day. She was angry and rude. Her statements ask I asked her politely to make this bill right, were as follows:
"That was all explained up front!"
"You should have declined services!"
"You were told the price beforehand!"
"You don't know how tired I get of people calling after the fact to complain about their bill!"
"What do you expect me to do about it now?"
Do not use this company unless you want to pay too much for a simple service call.
