I was under a tight deadline when the problem was discovered in mid November - we had guests arriving Dec 15 and needed all our bathrooms to be functioning. Lieth Finnegan and crew were great. He removed a basedboard, crawled under the house and found signs of water damage. Before we went any further he advised us to call our insurance. When the adjuster came out, Leith came too. They looked at the house together, checked the walboard for dampness and determined there was more water damage than met the eye. The insurance adjuster gave the ok, and parts of the wall and tile were taken up. There was extensive damage water damage from an incorrectly installed shower pan. The reult was lots of mold in the walls and under the tile in the shower and on the floor. Leith's crew removed all the wall board, wall, floor and shower tile. At every step, Leith documented the damage and repairs with photographs. He is a licensed contractor as well and expreienced in dealing with insurance comapnies. He knew exactly what they would ask for to document a claim and took care of all the permits and paperwork. His PuroClean crew sealed up the bathroom room and the master bedroom from the rest of the house before starting work, covered all our furniture, put plastic runners on the floor - did everything to minimize dust and dirt. When they finished the job, those rooms were cleaned by a crew. They took out all the tile and wall board, brought in commercial dryers and air scrubbers, dryed all the walls and sub flooring, replaced moldy wood and got everything updated and ready for new tile. His Maven constructions crews also did all our tile, floor and wall repairs. They did a fantastic job from start to finish and made the Dec 15th deadline. The insurance company covered all costs but our deductible and a bit of extra plumbing work we required. The whole job cost about $18,000 Leith Finnegan was great to work with. He was available to answer questions and was always courteous. There are inevitabley little hitches in a big job, but he handled everything smoothly and efficiently. We were very satisfied. He had crews there when he said they would be, kept everything on time and inspected the work along the way to make sure it was to his satisfaction. I also have to say that we did our part in keeping things on schedule - we were there when needed, answered questions, made decisions that needed to be made and did not deviate from the plan we had agreed on.
Description of Work: We discovered moldy basebords in our Master Bath and a plumber told us we had a shower pan leak. We called Leith Finnegan at PuroClean and he came right out. He took care of all the mold, mildew and water damage from an improperly installed shower pan from a previous remodel. The teardown, mold and water damage removal cost $5800. Reconstruction was handled by his other company Maven construction and was completely satisfactory.
