Description of Work: Talked into a "service contract" and now we are spending another $1000.00. I sure hope they are worth it. All the money was paid, we'll see if the service is performed. I am very skeptical. I'll let you know if and when the service we were talked into is performed to our satisfaction. So far, it seems like they go after the elderly who can't do the work themselves anymore. I'll keep you posted!

Description of Work: The technician talked more than he worked. He serviced my AC unit and one week later the system broke down and had to be replaced. Maybe a coincidence but the system was operating perfectly fine until shortly after he serviced it.The technician left a piece of his equipment behind and I had to call the company twice before it was picked up.

Description of Work: Company offered a 28-point Air Condition tune up on Angies list. Service provider was on time, and very professional. I was very impressed that he didn't try to sell me services I didn't need. When my Air Conditioner does need service I definitely will call them.

Description of Work: Ed, the technician, performed an inspection of my a/c. He was prompt, courteous and professional. My biggest concern with a/c folks is whether they really do the work they say they do or, whether they really know what they are doing and, are certified and not just folks that come out and replace and sell things that aren't necessary. How does the lay person know? We don't! In this case, Ed seemed honest and the work he did was (I hope) needed. I would use them again.

Description of Work: After researching Hearth and Home I called to get some information on servicing and pricing for a water leak in the A/C intake area. The appointment setter called it right away and said she thought it could be a clogged drain pipe, and that the repair could be included in the maintenance call. Since it was the Fourth of July weekend we agreed that they would come on Monday between 8 and 10am. Shortly after 8 Robert showed up and immediately diagnosed the problem. He told me that he would use a chemical spray to clean the drain, and he serviced the outside unit extensively, as well as the intake unit. During the visit Robert answered many of my questions and educated me on the use of filters, tips for keeping the air vents clean, and gave me a written estimate for balancing the airflow should I decide to do it in the future. What really sold me on Robert was that he told me that by repositioning the shutters on some of the vents I could probably achieve the same effect. This company is honest, professional and thorough, and Robert is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and a tribute to his craft. |
