We highly recommend Hearth & Home Heating and Cooling and Mr. Fireplace. This company has been a pleasure to work with, beginning with the secretary on the front desk, the owner, and extending to the employees in Mr. Fireplace. They gave us an estimate and gave us time to consider their quote without any pressure. Their workmanship was exemplary and they certainly perform an honest day's labor.In early June, 2012, our A/C began acting up. We contacted our regular A/C maintenance person to come and check our unit. He performed a basic inspection and told us everything looked normal with the exception of the LL Drier which he said needed repair. After checking the pressure, he replaced some coolant which had seeped out of the line.My husband was interested in having an ultraviolet light installed and asked for a price quote. My husband wanted to check out the price he had quoted for the UV light, and the LL Drier, as they seemed quite high, so he told our regular A/C agent we would call him later in the day, before proceeding with the repairs or the installation of a UV light.Upon recommendation of a trusted friend, we called Hearth & Home Heating and Cooling in Melbourne, Fl. at 321-253-5555. The owner talked with us for quite a while, answering, in detail, every question we had and gave us price quotes for everything we were concerned about. We decided to have Hearth & Home install the UV light and repair the LL Drier as their quote was quite a bit less than our regular maintenance service man had given us.The very next day, Hearth & Home sent a service agent to our home. He arrived on time and introduced himself, showed his credentials, and promptly started to work. He ended up being there for close to seven hours. As he started to install the UV light, he called our attention to a badly damaged whip wire......something our regular A/C agent had overlooked! When he showed us the wire, we could see it was bare for about 18 inches.To say that my husband and I were stunned, would be an understatement!! At that point, we asked him to inspect the rest of the system, which he did, and found several other areas that needed attention. The outside contacts needed replacement, the drier was so corroded, it was losing coolant as we stood there. Also, there was a loose contact wire that had been hit by a weed whacker and needed repair.The entire time the agent worked, he stopped and explained, in detail, what the problem was, what he recommended, and the cost of each item. It was pretty obvious that he was quite knowledgeable. He certainly was very conscientious, energetic and polite. We were greatly pleased with his work and manner. We highly recommend Heath & Home Heating and Cooling and Mr. Fireplace.

I liked the owner and they had a really good service technician. They were really quick to respond and overall everything he did worked and I have recommended them to others as well.

I have been using them for years. I have an annual contract and that includes if I have to have any work done with a 15% discount. They are prompt. They keep in touch with me to remind me the services to date. I trust the price they give me for example I wanted them to check the fire place chimney to see if it needed cleaning and they told me that I wouldn’t need it for couple of years. So I trust what they tell me.

Company has done my routine maintenance for several years. I called them and set up a appointment for service. Tech came out and did the job in a professional manner.

In May it was $230 and it July it cost nothing because it was the same failure and they replaced it for free under warranty. They didn’t try to pass the bill at all and they came out in quick order; they came out the same day.

Our air conditioner began to experience trouble keeping up with the August heat. We called Hearth and Home and they quoted us a price of $79 to do a preventive maintenance on the unit. We were given a window between 9am-noon. At 9:00, the office called and told us that the tech was leaving the office, what the techinicians name was, and that he would be driving a company vehicle. The technician showed up promptly, in a clean uniform and very professional. He conducted the preventive maintenance and discovered that the unit needed coolant. He quoted us a price for the coolant addition. Once we agreed to the price, he quickly added the coolant, checked the system and completed the job. He cleaned up his mess and completed the billing process in a timely and professional manner. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone who needs A/C service.
