It was a lot more money than I thought it would cost for the few minutes that he was here. I don't think he was here more than 5 or 10 minutes. I didn't really talk to him when he was here. He was in and out really quickly, and he knew what he was doing. He did the job, and it didn't take him so long to do it.

When you schedule someone on Friday afternoon call Friday morning to make sure the are going to show up at specific time. Get the name of the person. They were several hours late and did not call to tell me they had missed the appointment. I had to call them, they did not tell me how they drop the ball. THey sent the manger to make up for it. Gave me a fresh cookie, too bad I don't like cookies and since I live alone did not have anyone to give it to. Rather than a cookie I wanted a phone call to tell me they were running late.

Got call on prior day to confirm appointment. They arrived promptly and immediately spread blankets to keep area clean. Cleaned whole chimney and explained exactly what they would be doing. Inspected whole system and provided certification. They chimney needed minimal cleaning. They were only there 15 minutes. I thought there should be a sliding scale on their pricing. I would defiantly recommend them.

They were very helpful over the phone, as well as prompt, and professional. The gentleman they sent out was extremely knowledgeable.

The checkout went fine. He did give me a proposal for a new unit, which upset me a little. I'm not prepared to get a new unit. He seemed to think $3,900 was easy to come up with. Well, it isn't for me.

The 2 men that came were very professional and knowledgable. Mike gave me an idea how to prevent the large amount of water that came from my AC condensation line and was killing my grass. I had it done yesterday and it works like a charm. They both gave me tips on preventative maintenance that even the builder did not show me. I would recommend this company for your AC needs.

They did not perform the following listed in the Big Deal: Cleaning filters as needed Lubricating and inspecting bearings for wear Cleaning indoor coil (if accessible) Flushing and treating condensate drain with anti-algae product Tightening all electrical connections Cleaning condenser coil and removing debris Inspecting duct work for energy loss Anyway, Angie's List shouldn't promise other users something they won't receive. Or maybe when Hearth and Home found out they weren't going to get a full-price add-on from me they decided to do a cursory job. I felt like I got my money's worth, but not what was promised. They may be highly rated, but I'll pass them up if there are others available at a similar reputation.

The two men brought all tools necessary, Did the heavy work. Removed the old air conditioner and the air sanitizer unit to be placed on new unit. No problems with fit or function. All conversation was professional. Work showed their high competence. A brief break for lunch outside of site. No smoking noted.

They did a good job. They came out right after I purchased the deal. He looked over the unit and let me know of an issue I need to pay attention to. He provided me with a good estimate to replace the unit.

The came quickly and didn't over-charge for a Saturday service call. The service man even wasn't back to the shop to see if he had the right part in stock. He did, and finished the job. Great job. I now have a new A/C company.

They came out and looked at the unit and found something that needed installed. They added a UV light because they found some mold but after they had did that, I found the price less expensive elsewhere. I now understand that they should have cleaned the unit out after installing the part and after killing the mold. They were supposed to do a total check. I stood right with him and although I didn?t bring it up with him then, I noticed they didn?t flush out the system. I don?t feel like they didn?t do a good check and rather just pointed out very minor things that have no significance. They came back out and flushed the system but they didn?t complete all the checks they said they would. They were very pushy about getting their maintenance agreement. I would not have them back and they lost a potential customer because of their pushiness and because they didn?t do the complete service.

They came and looked at the system. They were unable to fix the problem with it and in fact I think when they tested the Freon, they let some out, and therefore, it was low on Freon. They wouldn’t come back to put more in. However, the kid that came was pleasant.

The process from the first call up until the diagnosis went superb. I dealt with Shannon who was incredibly helpful and professional. I was also happy to have access to a coupon for a diagnosis. Great deal. But the follow up for a repairs was quite the opposite. I did not deal with Shannon after the diagnosis call. I kept on calling to inquire for costs for repair but there seemed to be a delay which I never understood. I did not have next steps since 8/6 thru 8/14. I was told a couple of times I'd get a call back by end of day and I never did. I held off on repairs hoping I can award this vendor the business solely on my experience with Shannon but with an AC issue in the middle of the summer, I just could not afford to wait. In the end, this provider suggested a repair of $2,870 on the low end and $4,985 on the high end. I wouldn't have used them anyway given these options. I had the unit repaired for under $500 and the other vendor (plus 2 others) were able to provide costs and next steps fairly quickly. I have to assume this was an isolated incident with this vendor. I repeat, my experience pre-diagnosis call was wonderful, but something must have gone wrong internally after they came out.

I already had a maintancence plan through them and didn't realize it so I don't need both.

There were no problems with the service.

The provider examined the existing system and determined that it was rusting out internally and would probably last not longer than a couple of months. This was the original system that was installed when the house was built (2005). Typically, these systems last longer but this one did not. The installation was installed very professionally. They provided a new box (the place where the AC indoor system sits) and sanitized the area below where the AC unit sits because the previous unit was leaking condensation. The installation crew installed the wrong thermostat but a call to the company and a technician came out several days later to install the correct item. As I told this AC company, it might be wise for them to explain what SEER really means. The outdoor unit that was installed at our home has 14.5 SEER stamped on it but we were told that the system we purchased was a 16 SEER. According to the manufacturer, the correct SEER is determined by both the indoor and outdoor unit and the pair that we had installed does meets the specs for a 16 SEER system. Overall, we are please with this purchase and the installation work performed at our residence.

Bill, our certified technician, showed at the appointed time. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Being new to our house AND Florida everyone should always have your "basics" checked ASAP. Even after 2 licensed home inspections we had Hearth and Home come out for the run of the mill diagnostic. (It is NOT the home inspectors job to diagnose any "potential" problems with your a/c. He is there to make sure it works, keeps the house cool and see that it runs a full cycle.) Bill was kind, funny and patient. He added Freon to our unit (an older model so it was costly), but changed our filter, explained what issues we had and why. After his detailed explanation and the VISIBLE evidence, it's clear that we need a new unit. A little disappointing after being in our home for 8 days... Bill gave us a quote for 2 separate models. Our unit is working better and we hope a new unit won't be in demand until next spring. Thanks Hearth and Home! Bill, you did a great job and you're welcome back anytime!
