+ -1 moreThis was my second time using TREE WORKS ETC INC. The first time they removed a big Oak tree that was lifting my drive way and was also damaging my water lines. This time I called them about two twenty foot trees that I had planted many years ago and were now too close to my house. I called Brett Youngster who came over the same day to give me an estimate for the removal of the trees. He gave me what I thought was a very fair price and my knowing that they did a great job the first time that I used them I agreed to have them do the removal. The crew arrived on time and began to work immediately within an hour the trees were gone and they cleaned up the area after the trees were removed. At least one of my neighbors has also used TREE WORKS ETC INC and she was very pleased with their work. I would gladly recommend TREE WORKS ETC INC to my friends, neighbors, and family members.

+ -1 moreThe 4th of July(2013) was on a Thursday and for most, Friday and Saturday were work days. They had decided to take off of work for a long four day weekend, but didn't say that on their telephone answering machine. It happened that on July 5th and July 6th, I could not reach a person about their attractive quote, so I went to the number two quoter on my list who answered the phone straight away. They did call on Sunday night, but by then I had already hired number two(who did a good job). Another provider quoted $2700, with a straight face when all other quotes ranged from $375 to $525. I suspect that this is a good company and will consider them in the future.
Description of Work: The provider gave me a quotation on some tree removal(chipper) work. I gave all providers 72 hours to get their quote in. They had the best price, by a small amount.

+ -1 moreFirst they came out and we discussed the various trees and plants in our yard. We recently moved here from out of state. They were very helpful and provided us a quote and a time they could do the work. The day of the job, they showed up early with multiple workers and equipment and hoisted themselves up into the tree. They worked for quite some time being cautious not to drop large branches onto our lanai. They truly thinned out the tree a lot. They removed all the branches, debris and trash. I would recommend them and I would use them again.
Description of Work: Trimmed and cut back large water oak tree in backyard that had branches over a pool cage. They trimmed and carried away all branches and trash. They also checked the health of our trees and plants and gave us advice on how to care for them.

+ -1 moreMy overall experience with Tree Works was all good - from start to finish. Brett Youngster came out 4-5 days after I called the office with request for the work needed at the arranged appointment time to give me an estimate of the job I needed - a " free estimate" (free is always good!) - after survey of the tree in the back yard, and the damaged limb in question, plus the area where it was located (high) and the additional tree limb of a p*** tree that would need to be removed to get the equipment through the back yard gate and into the yard (to enable work) - Mr Youngster quoted a price for the job. I agreed to the price feeling it was fair, considering the location of the limb, the amount of work invoved, and the obstacles that would be in the way of work. His schedule was busy the rest of the week, but he would check his schedule for the earliest available day, and e-mail me. I received his e-mail the next day, setting the appointment for my needed work for the following Monday morning.They showed up bright and early with their big trucks and equipement, and immediately went to work, each of the men working efficiently with one another.Mr Youngser would cut the limbs from above, and drop them to two men below, and they transferred them out front to the shredder. The job was completed quickly, and efficiently (and safely) in about two hours - and the area, back and front, was cleaned before the left. I know that I have other trees that need attention, all are old and large, and will definately be calling Tree Works for those jobs - and will recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Brett Youngster, of Tree Works E. T. C., and his crew arrived as scheduled at 8: AM, prepared to remove a very large tree limb from a 43 year old Oak tree in my back yard that had been damaged during Tropical Storm Debby recently. It had broken and snagged in a very high part of the tree, in a wishbone type of position over another large limb, near the back of my home in an area close to bedroom windows, and created a danger, especially for anyone below during our frequent summer storms. Other large limbs had already fallen during the same storm (TD Debby) and one large one had taken out the telephone line to the house when it fell, so this limb, that was larger and heavier, was a real worry for me. Mr Youngster, who did the tree cutting himself, was able to remove the larger limb, using his lift equipment, and in the process he also removed several other damaged limbs and branches, pruning them, while he was "up there". His crew worked rapidly, and very efficiently, in removing debris as he dropped it and taking it to the shredder, clearing the area. They also removed a long and large malaleuca (p***) limb that was hanging over the roof and a small mulberry tree on the side of the house, and shredding those as well. Once the tree job was completed, the area was cleaned of small branches and broken bits of branches, the front walks were blown clean...and the tree was in some better shape, the yard was safe again to work in (and under the trees) and I felt relieved to have that limb down, in addition, the Oak tree looked better and had received attention that was long needed!

The entire team was very professional and courteous. They cleaned up all the debris. We would definitely recommend this company and would use them again!

The gentleman who came out checked my trees, drainage, root system, etc. and couldn't tell me why it looks like my trees are dying. He said he wasn't very familiar with these types of trees, would do some research and call me back. No charge since he couldn't help me. After waiting almost two weeks, I called the company back and left a message on their recorder. Still no call back. Loser company.

+ -1 moreHe came out and gave me a bid. When I called him to do it they were a couple weeks out. I had previously told him when I needed it and he said they were busy and unable to do it sooner. I think he didn't want to do it, every time I called he had some excuse. I called someone else who was cheaper anyway.

+ -1 moreGreat experience! Professional estimator was quick to respond, received email of estimate the next day. I got two other bids, this one was 40% lower than the closest one. I signed the proposal and faxed it back to Tree Works. They called the next day to schedule for approximately 2 weeks later. They called 3 days before, and again the day before, to confirm. Showed up on time and completed the job in about 5 hours. Excellent work and cleanup, nice people, and I am well pleased. Will use again and will recommend to others.

+ -1 moreMr. Youngster came to the house, discussed our needs and his recommendation and emailed a written estimate, requesting my approval of the price. Initially, the job was scheduled later than I had. Hoped, but they worked me in earlier when they had a cancellation. The workers arrived on schedule, reviewed the work to be done and completed it in the time frame that they estimated. Everything was left clean and was completed to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: I requested an estimate and then authorized the service to trim large branches from two trees, an oak and an ornamental that were hanging on the roof, cut back 5 overgrown viburnum bushes on the side of the house and mulch a considerable amount of yard waste that we had accumulated. They left me the mulch, at my request. The workers were very professional and remembered having removed a diseased tree for me last year. The work was done in a timely manner and they cleaned up afterward. The job was completed earlier than originally scheduled because the office called when they had a cancellation.

I called them today and the woman said someone had cancelled it, but we did not cancel it at all. I told them that I was canceling now. The receptionist did apologize and she was very nice. The professionalism grade is for the receptionist. My past experiences with the company were great and that is why we called them this time.
