A & S Appliance Repair

Art was very responsive to my phone calls regarding a broken refrigerator freezer and offered helpful suggestions for me to self-diagnose and fix the problem myself. Unfortunately, those self-help efforts failed and required a service call. He was on-time and diagnosed the problem as two broken fans. I placed a deposit for the repair and he ordered the parts. It took about 4 days for him to return for the repair. This was longer than what I had expected and freezer items continued to thaw. He retuned and completed the repairs which included repairing a clogged drain line as well as replacing the fans. Total cost of repairs was $335. However, 3 weeks later the the refrigerator started making noise again and completely broke - this time with no cooling in either the refrigerator or freezer section. I decided to replace the unit rather than attempt another repair.

Great. He came on Saturday when nobody else would.

Art quoted a price for materials, labor, and gave me an approximate time when he would arrive. He made the repairs in an efficient manner and I am pleased with the results. I would call him again.

Not worth fixing.

Fantastic. I thought I had a drain issue and Art knew immediately it wasn't the drain and instead the lines coming into the washer were leaking.

Art arrived same day, immediately examined the refrigerator and water lines, and patiently explained and then demonstrated the problem. He performed the repairs quickly, and cleaned up afterwards. He also gave us some tips on calibrating our oven temperature, and offered to help us adjust it by telephone free of charge. This was a throw-back experience to the days of capable and helpful repairmen, and it was a refreshing change.

Because our refrigerator has computers installed in it that talk to the thermostat, fan motors, compressor, etc. all at one time, what turned out to be an easy replacement became more complicated as neither we or Art were able to understand why temperatures weren't regulating. However, Art returned 5 times as he was dedicated to make this refrigerator work right. He never charged us for return trips. He is, without a doubt, the most dedicated appliance repairman we've ever had in our 46 years of marriage. We now understand why he is rated so high on this website. We love Angie's List and we want to compliment them on encouraging technicians such as Art Freeman to participate. We now feel our GE Refrigerator GFE29HFEAFF, all of 4 yrs old, should last many years going forward. As for our other appliances? Art will be getting the first call as needed.

Fantastic. I would highly recommend this company. He immediately answered my call. He was able to tell me what it would most likely cost to fix and the issues common with my dryer model. He came out the same day to fix. Amazing service, very friendly and responsive.

I spoke to Art over the phone and he was able to diagnose the issues based on the error codes I saw on the range. The replacement part was very expensive and Art gave me the pros and cons of fixing versus purchasing a new one. My husband and I decided to repair the unit. Art called the manufacturer immediately and ordered the part and advised that he would have it running by the end of the week. He was true to his word and the job was very time-consuming. It took him over 2 hours to disassemble, replace and re-assemble the range. He was so patient and was very careful everything was done correctly. If you need an appliance diagnosis or repair, call A & S, you will not find a company more professional and caring.

Great ! With some innovation, a lot of creativity, sweat, muscle, re-venting, re-wiring and re-hosing Art was able to get us up and running. Saved us thousands of dollars and saved my marriage ! (I swore that the washer and dryer would fit and talked my husband out of contracting to retain the ones all ready installed on our real estate contract ?). Almost new with all of the functions I like I just did not want to give up on my appliances and thanks to A & S I didn't have to !

I believe his name was Art and he was awesome! He replaced the element on my dryer and educated us about the causes of it going out and made suggestions to help prevent in the future.

The repairman who came could not identify what the problem was with the freezer door. We explained what had been done in the past but he was not able to correct the problem. He honestly admitted he did not know how to correct what was going on therefore the issue was not resolved. He discounted the service call for us, but I'm still dealing with the same problem.

Art the owner of A&S was friendly, prompt and courteous. He was knowledgeable and able to diagnosis the issue with my Frigidaire Refrigerator. Luckily I was close to a parts warehouse. So, instead of taking off another day from work. Art confirmed the part was available and offered to pick it up and installed the same day. I will use this company again. The work went well. Art was on time, efficient, polite and knowledgeable. He is not only a good repair man, he is a good person. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Art answered my call on Sunday and I told him the problem. He came Monday morning with the part and fixed my dryer. He was so helpful, fast, and informative. He gave us information that he didn't have to share regarding how to help my heating element on the dryer last longer.
