As I walked back into my house shaken from the experience, I decided to go straight to Abell's. Certainly the pro owners and staff would want to know who the are sending their clients to. No, I felt abused again when the owner herself told me she would not have even troubled herself to take 50.00 less. Then I found out that Shaiman Davis is the son of a staff member. These people are here to take your money and they do not deserve your loyalty. After all this went down, I still bought 4 Hibiscus plants @18.95 each, which I found the very next day at Home Depot for 8.95. And, was treated respectfully by the Home Depot staff. I'm sure this nursery has been here a long time and has many loyal customers....I think that's crazy. Shaiman Davis made me wait around for 2 months and acted like a complete baby. He even told me that if I had hired him in the first place to do the original design and placement I wouldn't be in this situation. Such tiny balls to treat a woman this way. Stay Away from these sheisters!!!!!
Description of Work: I am truly disappointed in this nursery. My husband and I both believe strongly in supporting small businesses. However, in this case just go to Home Depot and hang on to your hard earned money. We bought a fountain from them and were impressed across the board. As time has gone by...6 month's....I have gone back routinely for more plants and advice. All good. Then I needed a landscaper to do the weeding, cutting and lay fertilizer. I was so happy for the owners to refer me to Shaiman Davis. After booking 3 appointments with him...he canceled 2.....he finally came to tell me everything he doesn't do. And that is everything. All he will do is take a pair of clippers and cut. To be fair, I was very impressed by his knowledge. And on the first meeting felt he had passion for what he does. I was pretty shocked at his rate which is 150 every 6 weeks. The first visit would be more because he needed to go in for the initial cut, which would take up more of his time.....Please keep in mind everything is less than 6 months old. Turns out this guy complains about everything. After talking my husband into why, on top of paying a service to cut and edge and to have me pull all the weeds and mess with chemicals and after a hair pulling conversation with Shaiman, he agreed to perform the service for 100.00 every 6 weeks. I was happy to have him, even though I felt it was unfair. After scheduling 4 more appointments...1 I had to cancel due to work, 2 by him because of his back...he finally makes it over. Keep in mind it has taken 2 months to make this day happen. After so much talk of chemicals, I was surprised to see him show up with 2 small bags of fertilizer and that he had changed his mind. After he agreed to lower his fee, he said he would lay down the chemicals as long as I paid for them. Now, he will only show me how it's done, then I'm on my own. As he looked at my yard he also complained that I had not weeded enough and wanted to make sure I knew, once again, that he doesn't do that. Mr Davis made me very uncomfortable. To argue with a woman in her front lawn is just down right inexcusable. The surprising part is that during our discussion he was able to take 3 phone calls from a girlfriend to discuss her yoga class. He decided that I made him uncomfortable and that he would be leaving. I asked him to stay and at least do the job...at his full rate I'd pay...so he wouldn't lose the morning to which he replied, I don't need this job, I have plenty of people waiting for me to call them. He wouldn't even leave the fertilizer. Huge pig.
