Anthony arrived promptly, the first thing he did was put booties on to protect my carpets. He went right to work on the inside air handler. They had to come out twice. The first time the representative serviced the Heat Pump on one one side of the house. However, he said there was a problem with the A/C unit on the other side of the house which needed to be fixed before he could service it. As far as I could tell he did a competent job on the Heat Pump. I had to use a different company to fix the A/C unit because I have a Home Warranty. However the problem suggested by the first representative from Service One was inaccurate regarding what was wrong with the A/C unit. Plus he seemed to be an alarmist, saying the A/C unit from 2006 was too old and needed to be replaced soon, same for the Heat Pump. The Heat Pump is very old but still works. I felt he was mostly trying to sell me stuff, which always sets off alarms with me. Once the A/C unit was fixed, a different representative came out from Service One to service it and I liked him better. He was instructive regarding how to maintain the unit and not an alarmist, although he still left a pamphlet for a new type of water heater (I think the first guy might have done that too). I expect service people to be instructive but not alarmists who push products and services. That may be more likely the fault of the company expecting their representatives to do sale when they make service calls.

Anthony arrived well within the time frame that had been established. He even followed the directions about entry into the gated community- most of the service providers ignore my instructions! During the time he was doing the check-up, I heard a sound that I had never before heard during any previous check-up. I have the AC checked every year- usually twice a year. Anthony was cleaning the drain. In the 3 years I have owned my condo, no one had ever done this. Needless to say, it took a while! He explained what he was doing and why. It made so much sense that I wondered why it had never been done before. It sounded like there was there was some build-up in the drain- but that was taken care of because of this process. Anthony took his time and seemed to be thorough.

They were very quick. They were at my house within an hour. This AC is one of the main units that cools the bedrooms. Turns out the capacitor was out and they came and fixed it and it wasn't cheap. I spent about $210.

I called Service One because my outside air unit was not working. The tech Dave said it was the motor and because of its age, he gave us an estimate for a new system. We were told it could be installed the next day and I agreed to the estimate for install.I was told the installers would check my duct system in the attic for any problems and my new system would be inspected the day after installation. The installers arrived the next day and proceeded to install the system, they left my garage and the outside side area a complete mess. The duct system next to my air handler was sloppy looking. They also helped themselves to brooms and bug spray on my garage shelves without even asking.Before they went to lunch they asked if they could leave their large work truck in my driveway and I said ok, but they did not return for 3 hours! I waited the rest of the week for the inspection no one came or called. I called the office and spoke to the manager about my concerns and he set up a time for an inspection. Anthony came promptly at 7am and went through the system and answered my questions, he set a 7am appointment for Thursday for someone to check the ducts. On Thursday I waited until 7:40 am. When the worker arrived I was upset that he was late and didn't bother to call to let me know. He told me I should be careful what I say to him. I told him don't you threaten me and he said he was out of there.I called the office to speak to the manager, but he never returned my calls. I guess once they got their money, I was no longer a priority as a customer.

I do believe that we have them all covered and I appreciated very much your allowing me to help rectify any and all issues that you had that day with the installation of your new system. We have talked with our technicians and have made it clear that they do not need to use any of our customers items without their permission, and that we should be prepared to keep that to a minimum anyway. Our techs are neat and clean on their jobs by the end, it can get a little messy during the installation, but we have talked about ways to keep the job site as clean as possible during the progress of the job as well. Our technician felt that you were extremely upset the day that he arrive to re-seal some of the ductwork, he had forgotten some of the materials and turned around while on the way, our software usually gives a window of arrival, and he thought that he was within the arrival window as I told you. When he saw how upset you were with him, he felt it better to try again another day, when you were not so upset. We instruct the technicians that it is better to do that, than to stay and try to make it better if a customer is too upset, and call our office. I can say, that has not happened in many years, as you can see, we work hard to maintain a great customer service ranking with Angie's List and with the BBB as well! On Monday 9/30/13 I contacted Serviceone for plumbing repair in my bathroom. The appointment was made for 4:00 pm on the next day on October 1 2013. At 4:19 on October 1, 2013, I contacted Serviceone to find out why the plumber had not arrived I was told that the plumber was not going to arrive because he had surgery the day before, the day I made the appointment. Had I not called it was obvious that Serviceone had no intention of calling me to tell me that I would not be receiving the scheduled service. I left work early in order to make this appointment so the plumber would not be waiting for me. I have a leak that is costing me money and I lost income because of thier mistake. I asked to speak with the manager, a man by the name of Billy came on the phone and basically stated yeah we made the appointment don't know why we made the appointment because the plumber had surgery and the backup plumber is too busy to come to your house today so you will have to wait, his it sucks to be you attitude made me even more upset. After a very long discussion with Billy he agreed to send a plumber the next day at 4:30 to preform the work but told me he did not want my business because I was being unreasonable. Un reasonable for being upset that his company scheduled a plumber to be at my house on thier scheculed date. Ureasonable because the plumber they scheudled was in the hospital, which they knew, and did not show up. Unreasonable because they had no intention of calling me to tell me about thier mistake. On October 2, 2013, I recieved a call at 3:30 from a gentleman that stated he was the plumber from ServiceOne and he was sitting outside my house and wanted to know when I would be home. I informed him I would not be home until 4:30 that I left work early the day before and that Billy, his boss, knew that. He stated Billy never spoke with him. I called ServiceOne and spoke with Dan, Billy's business partner, Dan stated that Billy told him to be there early; early his plumber was 24 hours late! When I told him his employee stated Billy never spoke with him. . . SILENCE. Dan stated he would call the plumber and explain the argeement that Billy and I made, which was the plumber would arrive at 4:30 or as close to 4:30 as possible and the leak would be fixed for free if it was only the stem that was leaking. When I got home the plumber was there. He looked at the leak, had to go get the part returned and fixed the leak. The plumber gets an A+ for everything. Billy and Dan an F would be giving them credit they do not deserve. Only use this company if you do not mind doing it Billy's way. If you the paying customer want the service performed on time and done your way you will be considered an UNREASONABLE customer.

Dear Member, As you and I have discussed on the phone at length for more than 45 minutes at that time of the call. We were trying to apologize for not being able to keep our appointment. We had hit a point where we had not enough manpower to handle the volume of calls. Someone in our office did accidently schedule your appointment and put it on our Ken's schedule and Ken was out for sugery that day. I am not sure to this day how that happened, by the time you had called to bring to our attention that someone was not at your house, we were just trying to scramble to find out what we could do. I did apologize several times over for the mistake on our part, our other plumber was on a different job on the other side of the world from you, and was tied up for several more hours. I asked if you could let us come the next morning first thing, and / or the next afternoon at your convenience. I had very little opportunity to say much to you as you were continueing to yell at me over the phone, and say things which I will not repeat for professionalism sake. In previous calls to this, you had issues with some filters you had purchased, so we refunded the money on those and gave you free of charge a different type of filter in which you did not care for either. You yelled at me about that as well during this call. At this point, I felt that I needed to do or offer something that would help the situation more than hurt if further, I had tried offering a discounted service call for the inconvenience we had caused and you would not have it, you continued to yell at me on the phone. After that, I offered to do the call at no charge assuming it was just a bad stem in your faucet, which you had assured me it was. (which we had suggested shutting the water off to that sink to minimalize leaking and loss of water until we could arrive) After you yelled at me some more, I suggested that due to our inability to satisfy you as a customer even though we had offered free filters, free service, etc. for this issue, I suggested that you might want to call another provider in the future. We refunded you your maintenance agreement in full and told you we were very sorry that this was the way that things ended up. In closing, I am sorry that you did not like the filters we had shipped to you, which is why we refunded your money, and gave you for free an alternative. I am sorry for the scheduling mistake, the office staff we have is great, but sometimes can make mistakes. Which is why we were trying to offer you a solution at discount and then free to help mitigate the inconvenience we had caused you. I feel that I tried as hard as I could to bring the resolution to all this to a happy end, but after you continued in with me on this, my only position to take at that time, was to suggest that you might be happier with another company despite our efforts to try to make things right for you! We have a great history of customer satisfaction, we also are human and are capable and do make mistakes. The true measure of a person or a company is how they handle the mistakes & what they do to resolve the mistake if given the opportunity. When those situations arise, I feel as do many of our customers that we will bend over backwards to make things right for the customer. We do that because we realize that without the customer, we have nothing! I feel as though we tried as hard as we could to help you. It was all we could do! Our A/C was not working when Service One AirConditioning came out, the guy told me I needed a new compressor. He then asked if I would like to schedule an appointment with a sales rep. He told that there is available financing. When someone tells they have available financing, I know it will be expensive but he never gave me a price. I told him that I will call the office when I was ready for a sales rep because I wanted my husband to be home to discuss any large purchase items. I then called another provider and it ended up being the compressor switch which was a whole lot cheaper than getting a whole new compressor and no financing was needed. The rep from Service One was professional and prompt, but I guess he was not that knowledgeable unless the company is pressuring their reps to get people to buy new units.

I'm not really happy with it. They sold me a service contract. On top of that, the technician after he and I had a long discussion on the type of filter for an A/C unit from the type that I used, I told him that I used the most expensive kind. He told me that he could get a deal on them but I have to buy 12 of them. Whenever they came, they were the cheap $2.49. I called them and they made it right. What they did was they ordered me a permanent shell and use again the filters but they don't stay in the housing. I don't know if it was a switch and bait. They made it right because I caught them or if they really work to try to pass off $2.49 filters for $15 filters. At that time, I used $15 a piece. After I got them, I went to the store and I priced them. They were $2.49 a piece. The time that I get the heavy-duty allergen filter for $16.00 or $15.59 a piece. They attempted to make it right. I don't know if it's the suction of the air filter. Every time I take it out, it's balled in there. The thing that really got me was the technician and I had a really long decision on that. I chose to buy their maintenance for $169. They did push that. I'll never do it again. I'll never use them again either. Once this maintenance agreement is over this year, I would never use them again.

Nick was thorough and informative throughout the estimate process. I inquired about The Nest thermostat and Nick not only sells it but he also has it in his house and was able to show me the app on his phone. Of the 3 estimates, ServiceOne was the only provider that offered The Nest. Estimates were all competitive but I really wanted The Nest. Installation was a breeze as the guys showed up on time and finished in about 4 hours. Now my AC bill has been cut by about 45%. Why didn't I do this 3 years ago? Anyway, sales and service all excellent! Can't go wrong with ServiceOne!

Was experiencing problems with the A.C. coming on at predetermined temperatures and after trying couple of hours of troubleshooting I decided to call a professional found in Angie's List. This took place in a weekend, so after their normal hours. Within 30 minutes of contacting them I had a technician by the name of David at home troubleshooting the problems. David was very professional and detailed about his work, explaining all alone what he was doing and looking for. After identifying a problem with the thermostat, he quickly suggested changing it for me or for me to do it myself. In no time the thermostat was replaced by a better unit and the home was being cooled without any issues. I truly would recommend this company to friends and family. Great service all around.

The technician arrived on time and got right to work. He reviewed the exterior unit first (my AC is a combined "package" unit). He explained and showed all of the items I should be aware of (I would have appreciated seeing the unit opened, rather than telling me after the fact). He then came in the house and examined the interior ductwork and cleaned what he could. He suggested I should purchase a specialized filter system that seals better into the ductwork - I agreed and purchased two filters (hopefully a year's supply) for about $130.00. This did seem to be a decent price, compared to what I was finding in the stores for a much less effective product. Finally, he went up into the attic and examined that ductwork. While I cannot recall his exact words, I came away with the impression that I should be planning for the next HVAC system to be installed in the garage, and plan to re-do all the attic ductwork; and plan to install more insulation, because he definitely felt there was an inadequate amount. This concerned me, as I hadn't received that impression from any other service provider (I just purchased this house in March, and it's been pretty thoroughly checked out). The reason I'm not giving an "A" rating is due to this attic assessment. I subsequently asked Duke Energy to come out and perform an energy audit - they were out the following week and advised that the attic insulation was very good, but that some of the ductwork did need to be resealed. Duke Energy paid for this work entirely. I'm glad I got this second opinion - and feel that the "cross-selling" being performed by the ServiceOne rep went too far.

I had many estimates and Service One offered the best option for my needs at a great price. I ended up zoning the home with two air conditioners, in lieu of just one that was too small. The older unit (10 sear) which was replaced with two new units (18 and 16 sear), cutiing my fuel cost dramatically. The installers were fantastic, very punctual and professional. Call Service One if you want the job done right at a very fair price.

It went very good. It took us about half an hour to go through all the checking on air conditioning unit and everything was working fine. The unit didn't need any service but I wanted to make sure since we just moved in to that house. The deal covered the inspection.
