Description of Work: Our heat would not work-in a cold spell. They responded quickly and fixed very quickly. It was expensive since we called them out on Sunday.

Description of Work: Within the last two years I have paid Snyder approximately $14,000 to install two new central heat and air units. The first unit, an Amana, was installed Nov 2012. When I had the first semi-annual maintenance performed on the Amana, the technician informed me that the ultraviolet lights, for killing mold, were installed too close to the hepa filter in the filter cabinet. The light was actually disintegrating the filter medium. The filters cost appx $40 each and are changed twice a year. Snyder sent a technician out to correct the problem at no charge. I had two more semi-annual maintenance inspections done after that. At no time did any of the technicians tell me that the filter door fastener was defective and needed duct tape to hold it in place. I discovered this when I went into the attic to change the filter. Tim, the service manager, sent a technician out. The technician put a sheet metal screw in the door to hold it in place. Tim was going to charge me a service charge because he said the filter cabinet was out of warranty. I strongly protested saying that the door was either defective from the beginning or that one of the technicians had broken the fastener. This should have been brought to my attention during one of the semi-annual inspections, at which point it would still have been under warranty, and Amana would have had to supply a new door. After all, that is why I pay for the inspections. I also explained to Tim that the screw would be a continuuing maintenance issue, since every time a filter is replaced (twice a year) the screw would have to come out and be put back in after the filter was changed. Eventually the screw hole would wear out and a new screw would have to be put in. Tim said that I would have to pay $350 for a new cabinet and door since Amana did not make the door on my unit any longer. So now I am stuck with maintaining the defective door myself or else Tim will charge a service charge. After spending $14,000, you think Snyder would give their customer a little more consideration, especially since the door was their fault. Now I have no confidence in the technicians doing the semi-annual inspections, or in Tim the service manager doing the right thing. I feel compelled to continue using them to service the units since they installed the units and I have extended warranties on both units.

Description of Work: I have used Snyder for almost thirty years. They just replaced the fan in my air conditioner. It did not cost me anything since it is still under warranty. They service my unit twice a year for approximately $140.00.

Description of Work: I needed to have a rental property a/c unit evaluation, and called Snyder Heating and Air. Jason came out for a free consultation and I was very impressed with his knowledge and straight forward information on the assessment. It was an old unit, and he recommended replacement rather then "nickle and dime" repairs from now on, which I appreciated. His crew replaced the unit in a timely fashion and the tenant was very happy with the installation process. I would certainly recommend this company and Jason's expertise to others needing honest, timely service.

Description of Work: I used Snyder for about six years to do the annual inspection and cleaning of my heating/AC unit. They have some add-on - something extra to sell - every time they come - capacitors, freon, etc. On one visit, the service man (salesman?) suggested that I might be ready to spend thousands on a new unit. It is several years later, and the unit is just fine. Not sure why the receptionist needs to ask the age of the unit when I arrange annual service. I changed providers and the new company never pushes add-ons and new units.

Description of Work: My A/C unit is covered by warranty, so cost me $0. But, they were super responsive in fixing it. They replaced outside blower fan motor & blades, too. Highly recommend Snyder to anyone.
