Everything went perfect. I received a competitive quote and scheduled the work. Rory came out and did a fantastic job as promised. I would highly recommend his business if you need your hardwood floors resurfaced. He did 4 bedrooms, hallway, living room and dining room for us.

Rory saved my floors! Highly recommend! I had previously hired a "handyman" to refinish my floors. He was neither handy nor a man. Rory had quite the job cut out for him and he did absolutely amazing work! My floors have never looked better!

Rory was hired to refinish our fir floors. However, due to a problem beyond his control, we ended up replacing our floors with new oak, tongue-and-groove boards. He poorly installed the wood floor on our stairs, within our original scope of work. However, the work had large gaps, the wood on the risers is out of plumb, and has an unevenly applied finish. He glued down the boards so he essentially destroyed our original wood steps. The new wood on the stairs is installed unforgivably poorly and Rory was not willing to offer a refund. He said, and I quote, "I'll see you in court." For the new floor on the second floor, he was just plainly inept at the installation. There are weird concentrations of seams, one section of a room (in the middle of the floor) is all 12-18 inch boards. He did give us a partial refund to pay someone competent to re-refinish our new floors, because the finish was unevenly applied with many dark spots and the clear coat is full of bubbles and debris. He did not properly sand and clean the floor between each coating of stain and clear coat. He would not give us a refund for the wood that he damaged in the process of installation and he had the same response as above: "I'll see you in court." I have personally refinished and installed many floors and his work was significantly less than my own work. On a personal note, he was also not terribly interested in hearing my opinions and deferred to my husband, despite my degree in historic preservation and 15 years in the field. I thought long and hard about writing this negative review because I do not like to negatively impact someone's livelihood, but because he was so unwilling to make his errors right I had no choice. The thought of suing him would take too much of my time and mental well being to be worth it. Please feel free to message me if you'd like photos. Please be aware before hiring this business.

I have 70 year old hardwood floors. Rory refinished as well as installed matching wood floors in my kitchen. He did beautiful work. He was fast, clean and did a great job considering the age of the floors. I did have one minor issue (do to floor age) that he immediately came back to fix. Very happy with his work.

We have a 1948 home with all wood floors covered by carpet for over 25 years. And hiring Rory was the best thing I could have done. Rory is a wonderful professional. He knows his hard wood flooring. He was very honest about the damage, repairs and refinishing. We had some very bad damage to our flooring, (pet problems), and Rory knew what had to be done. And not only that, he is in and out. Project was completed in two to three days. Others had told me it would take them weeks to finish our project. (By the way our project was the entire house). Rory's crew were such good workers. They are in and out with all of the equipment and clean up. The finished floors are great. What a good decision to have the floors redone and not put any carpeting in. I would refer them to family and friends. And in fact, I have already referred them to one of my friends.
