Description of Work: I use David Gray for heating and ac. I have the yearly maintenance agreement and they came and did the second of the yearly maintenance agreement. It was just a checkup before the heat of the summer.

Description of Work: Called for estimate, didn't even bother to call me back.

Description of Work: Cannot comment on the price a/c have nothing to compare it with. They installed a new blower assembly on the heat exchanger and replaced the TXV on the outside unit. They showed up within 3 hrs after I called for service. I thought that was very good as we have been having a cold spell and I thought they would be having alot of calls to answer. Also, they were able to get the parts they needed within a few hours.

Description of Work: After paying someone else to fix the AC, David Grey troubleshot a short in the thermostat system, corrected the problem by replacing the wiring and thermostat. The other company fixed other things but not this part of the issue--blows hot air when AC is running and runs constantly. How the other company couldn't figure this out is beyond me. But Grey did and fixed it.

Description of Work: Semi-annual HVAC preventative maintenance. Would highly recommend David Gray for either AC or plumbing services. They are always very responsive, generous with helpful hints and the price always fair. This particular service was covered under the first year warranty but I have since renewed the Plan for 2015-2016.

Description of Work: David Gray came out and installed a new fan motor on my condenser. They did fine with the motor, they installed it and it worked. I asked him if my unit needed anything else, he said no, Initially, I was happy. Until the following weekend when the hot air stopped coming throught he system. Turns out that the unit did not have a filter in it.. and the coil was very very dirty - requiring a coil cleaning. They asked for another $500 to clean the coil. What bothered me was that I had specifically said to the guy, hey, I don't want this to be a money pit... I don't want to part by part start fixing this...I need to know if its a good unit... He said yes it was. Well he was not thorough enough in his examination - he missed the dirty coil, and they now wanted to charge me $500 to clean it. Well that did not happen. We purchased a filter, then we took the vaccum cleaner up there and vacuumed the coil. We also were able to go to home depot and purchase the spray on coil cleaner and it did help the air flow in the unit. The unit is still not 100%. If I had known the issues with the coil, I would not have shelled out the $500 for the motor, I would have bought a new unit. Instead I ended up paying $500 for a motor ($85 lennox) and I still had to clean the unit myself to get it running. David Gray was ok, but they could have been better. Funny, they were all too ready to give me a $500 credit on a new unit. A new unit listed at Lennox for $1800 they would be marking up to $5000 to sell to me. No thanks.

Description of Work: They came out on a Sunday and fixed the leak in the line where the freon was escaping and repaired the electrical work that was causing the leak in the line.
