He was very informative. He also demonstrated what he was looking for and what we should look for. He also told us we shouldn't have to update out unit as it was still in good condition. We didn't feel like he was going to rake us over the coals to speak. We just felt like he was an honest guy.

I was contacted over the phone with a special that the company was offering. They offered a Tune up special To complete go over my Central Heating and air Conditioning unit for only 49.95 regularly $99 and included up to two lbs of refrigerant / Freon. Sounded like a fare deal prior to there the busy season so I agreed and setup the appointment.
The technician came out and started working but right away he started to complain that my system was old and looked in rough shape. He then asked if I had thought if I planed on replacing the unit. By this time I had already mentioned that took Heating and AC in school myself and recently retired from the Military and I was not working so getting a new AC unit was not going to happen. He continued to work going outside to test the compressor. He took the cover off the unit and pointed out that the coils were all clogged and this was the type that he could not clean. I said ok and gave him a big grin he continued work. The readings on the compressor indicated that I need some Freon added to top off the system and the technician kindly told me that I did need some Freon added. The remainder of the time the Technician tried to sell me a new unit instead of completing the job at hand. I did notice one thing when he was putting up his tools. The technician did not even have refrigerant / Freon in his truck.
We cam into the house and I did listen to the pitch for the sale of a new unit and I kindly declined. Since I had no job at the time and I didn't want any new bills. He continued to pressure me to purchase a new unit. Telling me things like the money I would save would make up for the finance cost. I kindly declined again but asked for information on the new units they are selling, knowing he had to come back to finish the job.
The technician told me he would have to come back to finish the job and would bring me the requested information. 2 weeks went by no contact so I called him and he said he lost my number but he would be here next week. One more week went buy and I called him and he said it would be the following week. Still no contact so I called the office.
The manager said he would look into it and call me back in 20 min. but that did not happen either. The next day a technician showed up at my door while I was getting ready for a job interview and proceeded to tell me my system was fine it didn't need anything.
