Beaver's Tree Service of Tampa Bay Inc

The service was done properly and the tree looks great, however, I just wish they would have taken a little extra care in the plants around the bottom of the tree, as they were damaged due to the following tree branches.

I bought the Angie's list deal of $$400.00 worth of services for $223.00. I needed 10 palm trees trimmed and $223.00 was a good price. Most other trimmers charge $25-30 per tree. Initial communication was through Angie's list messages. My initial preferred date was July 11th. This was not available. Beaver's would be in my area on July 15th. I told Beaver's that the 15th was fine and just asked whether it would be morning or afternoon. The response was afternoon. I made sure I had my morning errands done by 10:00 am. At noon on the 15th, I called Rebecca Moody at the number listed to confirm we were still on schedule for that afternoon. I was told that "some lady" called to reschedule for Thursday. This was impossible as my wife was not involved in the arrangements and she wanted the trees trimmed ASAP. Also, I had arranged my schedule to be home on Tuesday afternoon. Later in the conversation Rebecca stated there was another job elsewhere on my street and that must have been who called. Rebecca stated that she would have someone at my house around 2 pm. At 5:30 pm, I called Rebecca again and said "I guess I'm not going to get my trees trimmed today". She told me they had had some problems. Rebecca stated that they would be out Saturday, Jul 19, between 9-10 am because I was the only job that day. On Saturday at 10:15 am, I called Rebecca to see where they were. This time the story was they were having a confusing day and someone was on the way. Again, no one from this company has communicated with me without my prompting. Rebecca called the crew to find out where they were. When Rebecca called back, she stated there was a road closure and the crew had to detour, they would be there within a half hour. The crew finally arrived around 11:00 am. At approximately 12:15 pm, everyone left with no notice. I correctly assumed they went to lunch but a friendly word would have been nice. I didn't know if they got mad and quit or what. At about 1:15 pm the crew returned and finished the job. Clean up overall was good but I had to pick up water bottles and pop cans. After the crew was finished cleaning, they all left without notice or asking if I was satisfied with the job. I also discovered that an elevated sprinkler head had been broken. The communication with this company is nonexistent. The trimming was OK but the "boots" were not cropped as close as every other trimmer has cropped them. Did I get $223.00 worth of service? Just barely. Did I get $400.00 worth of service? Not even close. I will not use this company again and this experience make me doubt the quality of the "deals" offered on Angie's list. There must be a reason these people give away their services at such a discount.

It went very well. We needed the budding palm nuts cut down before they fell as my dog eats them and gets ill. They did a very nice job and clean up was excellent.

Did not show up until 2:30pm and left at 4:00pm. 3 men for 1 1/2 hours seemed light for $400 which is amount of work they committed to do for $200. When questioned, the spokesman said that wasn't how they priced a job. I asked how they priced a job and he replied "we don't use a tape measure to value our work and we don't measure it by hours worked. " I am disappointed with Angie's List because this service provider did not give an estimate beyond the $400 when I showed him what needed to be done. Rather he came to the door saying they had done the $400 of work when it was obvious that they had not completed the job. The people are very unprofessional and I would never use them again or recommend them. Do you have any suggestions for someone to finish the job?

We had scheduled them for a day in advance but for whatever reason they were a no-show. This wasn't as much of a problem for us as we work from home. When my husband did call they were running late from another job, but then they weren't going to make it out at all that day. They did arrive on time for our rescheduled appointment the next day too. When they came they asked what we were looking to do with the back corner of our yard where the tree stump is, and we told them our goal was to remove the stump then level off the entire corner so we could pave it or do something productive on it. I thought they were only there to grind the stump down then we would do the rest, but an amazingly short time later i looked out the window and the stump was gone and they had moved around the sand/dirt to give us a level-ish corner (nice way to start our next task). We had purchased a deal through angies list, so there was nothing else for us to do. Overall the actual appointment was quick and painless, and I think our guys went above and beyond in their delivery.

I was originally scheduled for service on 7/3 for the afternoon. After waiting several hours without a call I called their office around 5PM wondering when they might be able to come by for the appointment. I was told they would be unable to come that day but they could come back on 7/5 to perform the service. They showed up around 9:30AM, asked me to show them what I wanted done. I also requested a quote for a tree removal that I will need performed at a later date. Their team was fast and thorough. They did an excellent job trimming several trees in my backyard and one particularly pesky Monkey Puzzle tree. Despite the scheduling mixup I would use them again.

The Deal went really well and then I hired them to do a bit more. Their normal pricing was much more expensive, but they still did good work. They actually had to do more work and climbing than they initially thought, and I appreciate that they stuck with their initial bid.

I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for this provider. The team showed up on time, assessed what I needed to have done, and went right to work. They did a great job of trimming my three overgrown oak trees. They were polite and aimed to please. When they finished the tree trimming, they cleaned up every bit of debris. I would definitely hire them again in the future.

Well let me say this..... Beaver's Tree Service is not simply a choice. They are without a doubt the only tree service I will ever use! I have now contacted them several times, and at each occurrence they send a very professional and hard-working crew to do what ever I ask. They are always punctual, professional, and throughout the entire process check with me to see if I am fully satisfied with their service. I have now left several reviews, and can only say that if you are looking for tree service.... never, ever, hesitate in contacting Rebecca at Beaver's Tree Service! This is truly a great company that will handle all your outside tree trimming/removal issues flawlessly, professionally, and quickly! Thank you for your excellent service! All contact was very professional. The cleaned up very well and kept all debris from entering my pool--it is not screened. They did not show up on the first date due to an emergency call. But we rescheduled and they came out at their next available appointment time. I will use them again.

From the quote to completing the job, the crew was professional, neat, and fast. I am using them again.

They walked our property and consulted with us on the trees that needed trimming. They then prepared an estimate. The "big deal" covered the largest tree work and we elected to have the additional work performed as well.

See above---Beaver did a major cleanup of several trees on our property. They were professional, quick and efficient.

They did a fantastic job and the tree looks great. They cleaned up everything, even the seed pods that came loose from the bloom.

There were no troubles with scheduling or any additional fees beyond the cost of the deal. They cleaned up all the debris after completing the work. Everything turned out well.

They weren't correctly cut. They left trash in my yard, they didn't do a good job. When they cut down the tree, debris got stuck in my pool screen and I had to ask them to clean it for me. I felt like they did a sloppy job and it was overprice.

I bought The Big Deal for stump grinding and the price was way more than fair. Becky was extremely responsive and kind and the work was top quality. I highly recommend Beaver's Tree Service and would hire them again. I think it's great they participate in things like The Big Deal. It gives the customer a chance to try our their services. Now that I've used them for a small job and know they're good, I will definitely hire them again in the future. Thank you, Becky and team!!!
