Broward Factory Service

This is an awful company! They were out three times and our refrigerator is still not fixed! Lily (on the phone) was rude and had a terrible attitude. We paid to have a one year service contract. Words can't describe how dissatisfied we are with them. We were treated very poorly. They have terrible customer service. This is a very bad company.

A very inept company.After our power came on after a power surge our oven touch pad wasn't working.We found out that the guy they sent out was mainly a a/c guy.They ordered the part and after a ridiculous wait of 2 weeks they showed up with the wrong part.The guy who came out the second time said the first guy wasn't exactly qualified.

Provided us a loaner refrigerator until they fixed ours.

It went okay. They were very punctual and responsive. I would use them again.

It is a shame that there isn't a ZERO RATING!!! My AC is out....came home at 5 to discover...ll techs are busy tonight.....So I need to SCHEDULE tomorrow....When I bought the service someone forgot to tell me that this company only did calls 9-5!!! Woman in office told me to call Lilly the manager in the morning with my complaints.....I defended this company because of good service I had previously had from a tech....which was a scheduled call. Was very informative, was on time and even called me ahead to let me know they were coming. They offerend me a Free Ac quote to upgrade my system and with install of new Ac system you get a Free water heater to. I was more then Happy with that. I will be upgrading my System next month. Lana who set up everything with me was pleasant to work with. Thank you Broward for your peace of mind!!

Have used them for a number of years unfortunately while in the main they have very good techs there are a few less than that. The tech installed the coolant but was more interested in selling me a new AC not really concerned with how I viewed matters. The old Trane is working well enough now ie it maintains the temperature I set it at. Will definately get seasonal maintance to try and keep it that way. Who could ask for anything more. He never explained why one AC over another. No follow up! A very important item at least to me.

Arrived late - no phone call. Technician performed less than half of the checklist items. Once he determined the air handler needed cleaning (which they claim is not part of the maintenance service) he turned into a super salesman. His minimum proposal was $1395 for cleaning and U/V but then he said it would be much better to go with a whole new system for over $5,000.
This guy was obviously very, very well coached by his employer to up-sell the service call. I'm convinced he was on commission.
Because we have a Gold Plan repair/replacement package with them for all major appliances including the A/C they offered a $500 allowance off the cost of a new system. There was no mention of the Rheem factory rebate either.
Coincidentally, my neighbor days earlier had a brand new and slightly larger Rheem system installed in an identical style home for $1,600 less than the quote from Broward. The Broward tech said he used to work for that company and recommended I should have the other company do my system because they are very good.
I have ZERO confidence in Broward Factory Service and will not allow them on my property ever again. After complaining to Broward corporate they offered to refund the $189 maintenance fee.

6/19/2012 update:
A reputable A/C company thoroughly cleaned the air handler and checked the entire system for a total of $120 vs. the $900 - $1400 Broward wanted to do the same thing.

On top of that the new A/C company said the system is in great condition and should last several more years with annual maintenance. Quite a difference from Broward recommending immediate replacement of the entire system at a cost of over $5,000.

Always get a second, or even a third opinion before replacing an operating A/C/ system. There are a few honest and very experienced companies out there who put the customers interest above theirs.

I have a contract with them for appliance repair. I pay $300 a year.

They are prompt, courteous and have good workmanship. They are reliable and are a good value.

They are just terrific. They have a policy which covers all the refines. They work fine for me.

They are usually able to respond to a call for service within one or two days. Their repair personnel are knowledgeable and personable. Although their address is in Ft. Myers, it doesn't matter where you live, as they come to you.
