When he got to my home and took apart the air conditioner, he found out he did not have the correct part to fix it that day and it was a holiday (Jan. 1st) so he could not purchase it that day. He took his time the next day and drove to the store to get the correct part, then came back to my house to install it. He did not charge me for the trip to the store or for the 2nd call to my house. Not only does the A/C work great since he put in the new motor, but he thoroughly cleaned the rest of my unit inside and went out and check out the unit outside and cleaned it as well. When it was all said and done, I received a complete A/C tune up, a new blower motor and EMC, he had to come out twice and he drove to the store. The kicker is, I paid $568 for the entire service and the parts were $450 which he passed though to me and provided the receipt from the supply store. I got a tremendous service for $118 that easily could have been double or triple, but he said it was not fair for me to have to pay for him to come out twice because he didn't have the correct parts. I didn't totally agree with him, due to the specialty nature of the parts, but he insisted. Another convenient feature is that he accepts credit cards and does not charge an additional fee for processing a payment. He is extremely responsive, this is the 4th or 5th time I have had him come out to do A/C work and he has come the same day every time. I don't know how he could possibly be more reasonably priced without doing the work for free. And most importantly, he does top notch work and I trust that everything is done correctly and to spec every time he leaves. A+ all the way!
Description of Work: Had to come out and replace the fan motor and EMC (Electric fan control module which must be matched with the fan motor) in my air conditioner. He took the A/C unit apart and removed the fan motor and EMC, while the unit was apart, he cleaned the unit from top to bottom. He did mention that we should remove the cooling coils and clean them as well, but he didn't have time to do it that day. Reason being, he has to remove the solder and remove the coils, clean them with acid, then re-solder them into place. I'm getting off topic, he didn't have the correct parts and couldn't go get them because it was Jan. 1st and everything was closed. He picked up the new parts the next morning and had my air going again by 9:30 AM. He packed everything up and put anything that he moved back in it's place and it was like he wasn't even there except for the fact that the air was blowing beautifully.
