AAA Modern Air

AAA Modern Air called 30 minutes ahead of the technicians arrival to let me know they were on their way. Technician, Victor, arrived on time. He checked out the unit and then explained in detail the problem and the solution. Victor was very knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly. I am very satisfied with the results and would hire AAA again and recommend them to my family and friends.

Technician explained the situation and cleared the clog that was causing the problem.

Well. Unit for downstairs was serviced and I have maintenance for one year. Heat element needs to be replaced but I did not do that yet.

AAA Modern Air failed to properly install a new Mitsubishi Heat and A/C unit in my house. It took six appointments over ten days to correct installation mistakes that they made. Errors included: the new indoor A/C unit was crooked when installed; the new unit leaked because of improper installation; the A/C techs cut the dining room ceiling light electric circuit and initially refused to acknowledge their responsibility in creating the problem; and the breaker box cover plate was not secured by the technicians and was left hanging. AAA initially stated that they were not responsible for the light failure and told me to call an electrician. I amassed bills of $430 to schedule professional help in correcting AAA Installation errors. AAA only paid the certified electrician’s fee that I hired who diagnosed the lighting failure in his bill that stated “troubleshoot Bad Circuit for ac. Ac tech illegally spliced into lighting circuit.” I asked AAA to reimburse me for the remaining $300 invoice to cover the handyman’s time and expense for his initial work in diagnosing possible causes for the light failure and other installation mistakes to include: checking the dining room light fixture, checking the breaker and the light switch, securing the breaker box cover plate, and providing access for a stream of AAA a/c technician for repeat multiple visits. AAA refused to cover the $300 expense and told me to read the fine print of my AAA Modern contract. My AAA Modern contract cost $5,131.00 for installation of the Heat & A/C. It was an expensive installation. I told AAA right away that there were issues after they first installed the new A/C system. If AAA had addressed the problems and corrected them in the second visit, the multiple repeat visits by their AC techs, the work and time spent by the handyman and the visit by the licensed electrician that AAA’s service manager told me to hire would not have been needed. I looked at the AAA Modern Air brochure that promised “Professional Installations, Knowledgeable sales Team and A company you can trust.” For me, that was not the case. I have never had reason to give a bad review, but I would not want anyone else to suffer through this long, costly, unprofessional experience. This was the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life. I do not recommend hiring AAA Modern Air.

The job was done effectively and in a timely fashion. AAA Modern Air always takes good care of our needs.

It went excellent, they are a great company, easy to work with, they address our complaint and I will use them again because they are very reputable.

The service has been great. The diagnostic process involved starting with the least expensive tests and escalating as necessary. Luckily the tech discovered the problem in the first phase of testing. Also, the cost of the diagnostic test will be applied to my repair cost, pending. The estimate for repair was comparable to other estimates I obtained.

They were extremely professional and they performed their services in a timely manner.

I live in NY so I had to coordinate the AC installation with a visit south to the condo. The guys did a great job with the installation. Permits were required and when the city conducted the install they immediately recognized the company and their quality work.

Very professional and excellent work! I had a bedroom that only had one 6" duct providing air from my AC unit and the room was constantly warmer than the rest of the house. AAA Modern Air came out, diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote for putting in a new air duct to the room along with a return vent. They were able to come out a few short days later to do the install. 50 feet of 8" air duct was installed, along with one jumper duct that would allow air to return from the room. I have a low profile roof and they were able to get the vents and ducts installed in under 3 hours from start of job to the finish. Their attention to detail was superb, the placement of the vents (fit and finish) with the drywall made it all look seamless. Mike and his partner went above and beyond explaining the work in addition to cleaning up the worksite. I was afraid that I was going to have drywall dust and insulation everywhere but they took the time to cover the area they were working in, along with putting drop cloths down. When complete they swept and cleaned up all work areas and made sure we were satisfied. It is a pleasure to have professionals show up on time and do quality work! Instantly noticed the temperature difference and cooling to the room with the new duct work. I highly recommend them and would gladly use them again for any AC work.

Mixed experiences .....The salesman was very friendly and responsive but didn't make it clear to me that I was solely responsible for moving my washing machine to make room for their installation. I thought (perhaps out of naivete) they would help move it at time of install but was informed at 5:30pm the night before they were to arrive at 8am that they wouldn't help and it must be moved before they arrived or they would cancel my install! I had to scramble to find someone to help do this - Very stressful! When the installers were working, the one main installer repeatedly was on his cell phone for personal calls and video chats which I thought was unprofessional. They painted the insulation on the exterior piping white (unexpected) and had the white paint sloppily all over the place on surfaces other than that piping. It looked terrible - done with no care - and I brought it to their attention that it was unacceptable and we needed to fix it, especially since this is something directly seen from my bedroom. When they were leaving, I asked about the duct inspection that was supposed to be included with the install and was told that someone else would come to do that in a week. After a week, I had not been contacted and had to call and follow up and get it scheduled. Their customer service on the phone was very friendly and the service provided by the techs after installation was very good.

Ken showed up on time and was a total pro. Thoroughly tested & serviced the unit in the closet, and the one up on the roof. I liked the way he explained things as he went along. I was happy with the service and I have found my new go-to A/C service provider.

From my first contact with the office to make an appointment (followed by a call later in the day to let me know that the technician would call me within an hour ) to the installation team that left my home spotless. Yannick, my tech was professional and very forthcoming explaining everything to me. Tony made sure I knew when to expect the install team. The install team of Eric, Michael, Angelo and Chris were amazing. They kept me apprised of each step of the install and answered all my questions fully. To receive such amazing service in this day and age is remarkable. I commend the family that has owned AAA Modern Air since 1969 for the quality of people they hire. Thank you all so much for the piece of mind and comfort you brought me.

We're very grateful to AAA for coming to us on a Saturday on short notice because our AC wasn't working. Gustavo, the technician, was very patient dealing with the annoyances of navigating a big condo tower and was very honest. He identified the problem and resolved it, and explained what was happening throughout. We hopefully won't need AAA again at least for a while but will definitely use them again if we do.

Ken was terrific. He was professional yet cordial and efficient.

I was given a fair price ...unit is over 5 years old now and i have the service plan. My service rep Michael Cordi showed on time with a smile and polite greeting. He was extremely professional, took his time to explain what he was doing with the service and even gave me a few tips on how to keep my air running efficiently and clean. suggested some new filters to cut down on the dust and dander and to help my unit coils stay clean..He is definitely an asset to this company. On a personal note, I would not waste my time looking for other companies and shopping price. Their prices are very fair, and their office and service staff are number #1. when you call the office they make you feel like a valued customer and really put forth the effort to resolve any question or issue. They don't disappear after they had your business. they want to keep your business!.....I would recommend AAA MODERN AIR 100%.

Hans, our salesman, Jose lead installer and their very professional staff did an amazing with my new ac with a very difficult attic install of the air handler. The price was fair, they were on time and very patient with our questions and their explanations of our new digital online thermostat. Clean up was good and all the debris, packaging and old equipment promptly removed

Arrived during indicated time frame, quickly diagnosed and replaced the defective part. Was polite, knowledgeable and professional. But that is why I have been a repeat customer year after year after year, for two homes and a rental property.

Excellent! Technician did a very good job and very professional. We have used them for over 15 years and very pleased! Today we needed a part, which he had on the truck and installed right away...no second appointment or waiting around. We also get a discount on the part since we have the maintenance contract.

Our 12 year old air conditioner was not working properly. Had the company that installed it come out to provide an estimate on repair. They said it would cost approx. $1K for the part and repair. I decided to get a second opinion. AAA was very prompt in responding to request for repair estimate. Decided to get new a/c since it would provide 10 yr warranty. Job done was excellent.

The service was excellent. Ken was at my home for the repair within 2 hours of my call. Ken fixed the problem within the hour. I am a very happy customer.

Great. Josua was very friendly & pleasant & helpful. I ask a LOT of questions and he patiently responded to all of them. He tested the unit to make sure the heat & AC were working & confirmed it was the thermostat. He installed a newer one than what we had. Of course nothing ever fits perfectly, but he made sure it was installed correctly. I have no complaints. I called this morning at 7:30. They said would be here between 1-5 & would call 30 minutes prior. They have 'chat' if you are on your PC & I chatted with Nicole around 2 to make sure I was still on schedule. She checked and said would probably get call between 3:30-4. I got the call around 3:15, which was wonderful. He got here within 30 minutes. I think this company is wonderful. They accept checks, credit cards. We asked for an estimate & will definitely use them when we decide to replace it. We get FPL rebate & discount if pay cash (check).
