I hired Tropical South Landscaping to work on pruning and trimming a grove of Mahogany trees with high branches. Their team did excellent work for fair price. Would hire them again in future for other jobs and projects.

These guys were awesome, they were very professional... I am very impressed and pleased with the quality of the tree trimming service.

They arrived on time to trim my tree and they did a professional job and carted away all the branches. I thought they charged a reasonable price.

The Crew did a good job cleaning up and trimmed the trees the way I requested them to.

Rafael contacted me immediately, and provided his license and insurance info. I sent him photos of the work I needed done, and he responded promptly with a reasonable estimate (the other 3 quotes I received were $50-$250 more, and without workerâ s comp insurance.) Within 2 days, my project was done well, and they arrived when they said they would. I had to leave before it was completed, and I had never used this company before, so I was a little nervous that they wouldnâ t finish properly or haul out the waste, but my worry was in vain. I came home to a perfectly completed job, all waste removed, and a closed gate. These guys will be my go-to from now on.

Very nice job, they removed all my trees and stumps on the backyard, plus a big pinetree on the frontyard. Quick, great communication with Rafael, I will hire them again, this time for sod installation. Even my neighbour is going to have some trees removed by them after seeing the job on my yard.

Rafael listens to the customer's needs and follows through, shows up when scheduled, keeps job nice & clean. I would recommend him & would hire him again.

I received two identical quotes to do heavy trimming on 5 mango and a couple of oak trees. I went with Tropical South Landscaping because the owner was persistent and followed up on his quote. When his crew arrived I had a feeling the job was going to go bad. The foreman of the crew immediately began to complain about how much tree work there was to do and was wondering how much his boss was getting paid for the job. The guys arrived at 12 but told me they needed to take a break, which they did for about 40 minutes. Around 12:40 they started trimming the trees and about 25 minutes later they told me they needed to take a break. They took another 20 minutes break and they started cutting again only to stop trimming 20 minutes later. I have never seen a tree-cutting crew take so many breaks for not working that long. Around 2 pm I could tell that the job would not be finished, the guys had not even cut one tree in the past two hours. I called the owner, to tell him that his workers do not appear to be capable to finish this job. The owner did not answer so I waited for his return call. There were three guys in the crew and two of them appeared to have little experience cutting the trees, the third, the foreman, seemed lazy and just talked and complained a lot. 30 minutes after I tried calling the owner I received the following text message: *Hello sir, I apologize but my guy does not feel comfortable finishing the job. I undermind the work. I know its highly unprofessional to put you in this situation. We will clean up everything but can not finish the job. Again I apologize as this puts me in a really bad position. I just do not want them to break anything and it end up being a bad situation.* I did not understand the owner message so I called him up and he apologized and said that he just recently hired this crew and they do not seem to be working out, and he would not be able to finish the job. His workers then told me they could not finish the job because the job was bid too low and the boss does not have the experience estimating. I responded that I receive another quote from a very experienced company and they charge the same. I do not think the price was a factor in the crew quitting the job but rather their laziness. I have another crew coming to finishing the job for the same price next week. The owner seems nice but until he hires new workers, I would not hire them for any work.
