The technician was professional, knowledgable, and knew what needed to be done to make the roof structural sound and water tight. This job was handled PROMPTLY and in a TIMELY MANNER! Everyone at the office was courteous and great to work with, plus they actually ANSWER THEIR PHONE and you can speak with a LIVE PERSON. I give this company very high marks and would recommend them to others for their consideration.

He did a great job. He put on additional vents and did top quality work. They used 6 nails per shingle and put on a sealer over the new roof so that if anything punctures, it will not affect the roof. The roof looks great and we are very pleased with them.

The Hogan team responded to all requests and completed the job - including some detailed change orders - as specified. All employees were courteous and highly competent. The job was interrupted for two days by (heavy) rain. They made special efforts to seal in the roof during the delay and then worked both Saturday and Sunday to meet our completion time line. The truck Hogan uses for debris removal is overdue for replacement: It leaked generous amounts of oil, brake and transmission fluid and generated more smoke than any licensed vehicle I have ever seen. The firm's inability to get the truck started and to the jobs site delayed the start of work. John Hogan and his marketing director Michael Luzny visited the work site several times to confirm work status and our satisfaction with the project. Project leads Tom and Jed managed their respective project responsibilities well and explained alternatives (and additional services/charges) when necessary. Becky did a good job of providing access to team members and handled contract and billing documentation perfectly. The job was well performed.

Their work was satisfactory, the price was reasonable, they were prompt in getting here, and they got the job done on time. I am considering using them for some more work.

After the roof was installed, we had issues with leaking and ceiling damage. The company followed up, but was not willing to discount or cover the cost to repair it. There was ceiling damage beforehand, however, once they replaced the venting, it continued to leak and got significantly worse. When I went to the roof, I found out that the attic venting was not covered completely. The company came out to replace the venting with an upgrade only to find out they charged me for it. I was not pleased. They also did not offer to repair any of the ceiling drywall, but I didn?t force them to, since there was damage before. I felt the least they could have done was to cover the cost for the replacement. We also started to have leaking around our fireplace, which was never a problem before. I had someone from the outside who did roofing to check out the work. He offered to do some touchup though; he didn?t guarantee it would work. It continued to leak and I called John Hogan and he sent out an independent tech to look at the problem. When the tech came out and inspected the problem, he agreed that it was done incorrectly. He came back and finished the job for free. It stopped the leak, but we have a lot of time and money to put into what our leak problems left us. I am very displeased by their professionalism, because I felt John Hogan should have been quicker and more reasonable to remedy the problem. The ordeal spanned over 9 months before the problem was resolved. I know that this company received very good comments, but I will not be using them again, based on how they took care of our problems.

The quality of his work and overall service was good. He lived up to his estimate and met his time schedule. He kept an eye on his workers and supervised them well. His prices were acceptable.

It went great. They did a good job in a timely manner. They cleaned up their mess. I am pleased.

THE ROOF [SHINGLES] IS 7 YRS OLD AND HAD PRIOR LEAKS AND MINOR REPAIRS. I READ AT LEAST A HUNDRED REPORTS BEFORE SELECTING SEVERAL COMPANIES TO CONTACT. THE FIRST FIRM DID NOT ANSWER THE PHONE OR HAVE AN ANSWERING MACHINE. JOHN HOGAN RETURNED MY CALL THE SAME DAY 1/20. WE MADE AN APPT. FOR 1/21 AFTER LUNCH. THE ROOFER WAS ON TIME AND MADE HIS INSPECTION ON THE ROOF AND LOOKED AT THE LOCATION OF THE CEILING STAINS. HIS EXPLANATION OF THE RIDGE VENT PROBLEM & WHY I HAD THE CURRENT LEAKS WAS LOGICAL. IT JIVED WITH OLDER LEAKS AND A MINOR PROBLEM WITH THE ROOF ANGLE AND OLD VENT. BASED ON THE ROOFER'S GREAT ATTITUDE AND AGREEMENT TO MAKE THE GABLE VENT REPAIR FROM THE ATTIC [INSIDE], I TOLD HIM TO GO AHEAD. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED THAT SAME DAY. HE TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN THE NEW RIDGE VENT SYSTEM. THE ATTIC HAS A TIGHT OPENING AND IS HEAVILY INSULATED, NOT AN EASY TASK.

Everybody was very polite and professional.

He is very honest. He does high quality work. He is not the cheapest, but his work is worth it. He stands behind his work. He gets you scheduled in a timely manner and gets the job done quickly. He is a man of his word.

Estimate was given in a timely matter; selected the company from previous ratings. Performed all work in an exceptionally high fashion, with continuous advice and information about the progress of the job. Very pleased with the effort and results of clean-up. Final job is great.

I compared other people and he was the best priced. He is clean, competent and trustworthy.

This is the 2nd time he has done work for me. He was very honest and told me that I just needed a repair, and that I didn't need a new roof.

They did an excellent job at the price that they said they'd do it at. Even more importantly, they stopped my roof from leaking. I didn't get other estimates which is why I didn't grade them in price, but I'd use them again recommend them to others.

Mr. Vance gave an estimate on 3/26/07 and stated that the work could be performed the next day. The three man crew arrived early (0830) the next day and had the job completed o/a noon the same day. During the transition to repair some damaged wood, they allowed me to inspect and spray the exposed rafters to prevent future insect invasion. Up to this time I had requested four estimates from other Angie's List Vendors, (two did not return my calls). I also requested an estimate from a Non Angie's List vendor who also was Not a member of the BBB. This was the highest of all estimates and they could not start the job for 3-4 weeks! Mr. Vance and the job crew; of Joe, John, and Able were very prompt and professional.

Steve, our sales rep, was very professional and helpful. It was because of him that we chose Hogan Roofing. The crew was courteous and professional. They cleaned the yard of debris and were on time. The job was stalled for a day because all the supplies had not been delivered, and then because the wrong vents were delivered, but the job was completed within a week. Hogan was reasonably priced; not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. When we asked for certain details to be added to our contract, it was done. We had a very positive experience with this company and would recommend them to anyone wishing to deal with professional people.

Mr. Hogan confirmed what a previous roofer had indicated to us - we did not need to replace the flat roof. He showed me a few places I should watch for possible need in the future, but he said the roof could last for another couple of years. To give us an idea of the replacement cost, he provided an estimate to replace the roof. He responded quickly to our request for an estimate.
