If you want to start the New Year Right, DO NOT get a broken appliance repaired by George’s Appliance of Brooksville!! On Sunday, November 25th, my Samsung Oven/Combo was overheating. The pot roast should have taken 2 hrs to cook and instead the entire meal was burnt up in 45 mins! George’s sent Jason out the next day and he diagnosed the problem to be the oven temperature sensor. He said the part would be in by 1pm the next day and he would come out to install it so we could cook our Thanksgiving turkey. Did anyone ever call us or come out..NO!! Finally we heard from Tiffany at George’s who advised us Jason would install the new part on Tuesday, Dec 2nd. Jason installed the part and apologized that Tiffany had not called us the day before Thanksgiving to say he would not be out. He said she was always good at running the office until she got this new boyfriend whom she spent most of the workday on her phone texting him!! Jason said he tested the new part and that the oven was fixed. WRONG!!..because on 12/5 my oven in 12 minutes turned our pizza black!! I called Tiffany back the following morning..she put me on hold and came back to say that Jason would have to order the other oven sensor and she would call me when it came in. When the following week I had not heard from her, I called and asked her what was going on? I asked her whether she had called the vendor to follow up to see if the part was in stock..had they shipped it and if so, what was the tracking number. Tiffany yelled “I TOLD YOU I WOULD CALL YOU WHEN THE PART CAME IN” and slammed the phone down on me. My husband, on his phone, called her back, got 2 sentences out of his mouth and she slammed the phone down on him too!! The good news is that I now have a working oven thanks to Combs Appliance who, after hearing my horror story, went above and beyond to get me a working oven. The problem was never the temperature sensor but rather the Control Board. A misdiagnosis by George’s Appliance together with having to deal with Miss Tiffany, a rude and drop the ball employee, is why I have warned you to stay away from George’s Appliance!!

Right on time for appointment. Fixed in less than an hour. Jason was courteous and answered all my questions. Very reasonably priced. A pleasure doing business with him. Highly recommend.

Contacted them in February 2022 to repair my Viking refrigerator that was having trouble holding temperature in the freezer. It’s now May 2023 and the issue has still not been resolved. It’s impossible to get updates or communication from anyone at this company. Their M-F business hours are listed as 8:30am - 4:00pm but they purposefully don’t answer the phone until 10:30 in the morning. They also shut their phones off after 3:00. They’ll schedule service appointments AND provide a two-hour arrival window, and then just never show up. They claimed that ordered parts were “backordered”, with no estimated time of arrival. I finally called and demanded to speak with Jason or another manager… and *MAGICALLY* the part that had been on backorder for well over 14 months was now due to arrive in just a few days. Shockingly, the part did not resolve the issue, and I’m exactly where I was when I originally called George’s for service in February of last year. In my entire year and a half relationship as a consumer with George’s, this morning was the first time I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Tom, who introduced himself as a service manager. Over a year and a half of back and forth, hassle, broken promises, missed calls and missed appointments, today was the first day a manager became involved - this is embarrassingly unacceptable. To make matters worse, Tom’s response was not apologetic or understanding, but rather a call to inform me that “we don’t want this repair any longer”, and requested to “get off the line”. It’s painfully obvious they are not equipped to service high end appliance brands, and will tell you as such. If you’re in the market for a company that will negatively affect your mental health, then look no further than George’s Appliance Center, Inc.

George is a can do guy and does a great job with installation and clean up. He was able to do what others could not. George is a true professional and I would not hesitate to work with him again or recommend him to others. Outstanding service.

The repairs went very well. The technician (Ken) explained everything he was doing and demonstrated how and why the unit was not working. Ken also determined that the refrigerator fans was not working properly and would order one and schedule the service call as soon as George’s Appliance repair got the part. The normal service charge is $69 I told the owner he could charge me $89 since we were located outside their service area. THE FOLLOWING IS WHAT ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP DID A YEAR AGO. I DON’T FEEL THAT THE UNIT WAS CORRECTLY FIXED BEFORE. A year ago refrigerator was under a service contract. The issue then was a frozen evaporator. I could not choose the service provider then. They could not determine the cause, but could only melt the frozen evaporator at that time. They had reasons that they could not properly determine the cause. It's a Sears Kenmore Elite model. With the freezer on the bottom. I need someone to determine the problem and fix it not just treat the symptom.

The price was reasonable. We shopped around and they had the best price so they came in and fixed it. They are an A. we lived here before but we moved back and we called them. The fact that they are still in business after we were gone for 10 years. We shopped around and considered doing it our selfs. But for their price it was not that much different so we let them do it. They came the next day. They ordered it they said it would take 3 days, and the 3rd day they were here. They were here when they said they were going to be.

I originally wrote a positive review of this company on Jan 21st of this year. I had a water dispenser lever broken on the
door of an LG refrigerator. While initially positive, subsequent events have led me to reevaluate.
The initial problem was a screw that was holding the lever in place breaking away from a plastic frame on the inside o
the door. The frame alone could not be replaced as it and a wiring harness came together. Part was ordered and received.
Old frame and harness was removed. New frame fit but when re-hooking the new harness to the existing ice maker, connections
were not the same and ice maker started spewing crushed ice. Repairman decided to use the original harness with the new frame
in order to get it to work. New harness was useless.
After leaving  ice maker would not recycle. Ice would be made but not drop unless recycled manually. Repairman
returned and said I probably need a new ice maker. Part ordered and received. New ice maker did not fit the old wiring
harness. Part re-ordered and received. Problem seemed to be that the model number on the door was at the end of a run
and new model parts were used. New ice maker installed with old harness.
After leaving ice maker would not recycle. I gave up and for the past month have just been recycling the ice maker
manually. Until yesterday when when an error message appeared on the digital readout on the door. Called LG and
they said the message indicated that there was a problem with..........wait for it..........the ice maker.
Not sure what my next step is going to be. Old repair company, new repair company, new refrigerator?????
All this started with a broken screw........rest of refrigerator was perfect.

I called George's Appliance and TV Center on Monday to schedule a repair on my stove. I left a voicemail message and my call was returned within a few hours to discuss my needs and schedule. They were able to schedule me for Wednesday the 4th of February - On Wednesday, the technician called to let me know he was on his way and arrived promptly. He was able to easily identify the problem and correct it within about an hour. He was polite, knowledgeable and speedy! I would definitely use George's again.

They called to set up the service appointment. They called on the day of the appointment to confirm the time. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They had the parts needed to make the repair. They were in and out in half an hour. The serviceman was very pleasant, cleaned up after the work, and was a great representative of George's. They were great.

I called George's in the morning and they sent someone to do the repair in the afternoon. They showed up at the appointed time and were here for a total of 28 minutes and in that time diagnosed the problem (heating coil on dryer), did the repair, accepted payment and left. The bill included the price for the part, service call, and to my surprise, despite their representation in their Angie's list ad that labor is included in the service call, a labor charge of $30. I called the office the following Monday, and they told me that the service cost applied to labor for the repair only in the case of the need to come back a second time to do the repair. I felt ripped off by the extra labor charge but was told that was the way it worked. They are misrepresenting their labor cost issue in their Angie's list ad. I wanted the $30 labor charge to be refunded but was unsuccessful.
