Bill was courteous and professional. He and his associate were home inspectors and they were appalled at the things that my home inspector had missed. They tore up the area and sent me reports, estimates etc. After they had stopped the leak by building a roof with the correct pitch and water dam materials they tackled the damage done to the deck and my subflooring in my kitchen area. They removed wainscoting that had been put up to cover up problems and removed a large amount of laminate to get to the subfloor. All the while, pictures were provided to let me know the progress. They subcontracted with Right Line Restoration, LLC for the mold remediation. They also provided pictures of the damage and clean up efforts. The problems arose with follow up and clean up. I was able to get in the house before everything was done and pointed out some issues. Those were addressed so I completed the last payments. After I got back in the house I discovered that the key fob to the garage that I had provided for access had not been left for me. I found issues with cabinets that had been broken in the move and not repaired and I contacted Bill to request that he visit and repair those things. He advised "I have the key fob." I asked that he come in and make the corrections needed and was even planning to use him as my overall property maintenance person. In spite of having the access, he never came back. He has failed to return phone and e-mail messages. I ended up making repairs myself. Most disturbing is the fact that my key fob is still out there and several times we have come home and found the garage door open. Based on my first impressions, I worry that he does not have the fob and that a sub-contractor has it. In addition, when I had my most recent issues and contacted the Right Line folks their websites were no longer functional, their phone rang with no response etc. Recently, I received a request from Bill to Link on Linked In. That page allows you to endorse people for their skills. Were in not for the key fob and lack of follow up, I would have been endorsed him for some things but I am seriously disappointed with his performance. It seems that once he had the final payment, he was no longer interested in backing up his work. I had complemented him on his integrity but that no longer applies given the failure to return the fob or follow through on minor issues that could have been addressed with a single visit. Now, I have another major job that I am contracting with someone found on Angie's list. Based on the reviews and meeting that person, Bill's deficiencies seem even worse.
