Excellent. The work was done in a timely fashion, but not rushed in any way. Angel's crew showed an admirable attention to craftsmanship. Most noteworthy among the contractors with whom I have worked is how responsive Angel was to my every question or concern. I had never had trouble reaching him, either via text or email, and he always took care to flag potential problems or warn me of schedule adjustments. He was a joy to have on the project.

Firm responded quickly to our request and arrived punctually for the quote. They spent time to listen to our requests. They provided a quote in a timely manner, although not as detailed as we would have liked, and with no rough sketch to ensure we were all understanding the general vision. Their pricing was a little higher than average.
Description of Work: Requested a quote to install new driveway., replace patio and shed
Angel and his crew at Wall to Wall Construction, Inc. did an excellent job renovating our kitchen. Angel was honest, professional, courteous, prompt, and responsive throughout the entire process. His team completed the renovation on schedule, and we are very pleased with the result. There were a few minor issues after they completed the renovation (e.g., a loose cabinet door) but Angel returned to our home to fix them. We hope to hire Wall to Wall Construction, Inc. to do additional work in our home.
It went great. Angel gave us the estimated cost and time and performed the job within those estimations. He was very flexible, professional and easy to work with. The basement is completed and looks amazing. He was able to install all the elements that I asked for (bedroom, bathroom, wet bar and storage area) in a small space. I will be hiring Wall to Wall Construction again if/when I need any additional work completed.

Our ceiling is GORGEOUS. The job was not easy, as the recessed lights and ceiling fan were not properly centered in the room when our home was built. Also, we had built in bookcases installed before deciding to do the ceiling. But, the carpenter and his team did brilliant math and measuring to make the project not only possible but beautiful. The painters did a magnificent job on the intricate paint job as well. The ceiling is one of our favorite things to show visitors to our home.

Our porch is beautiful! It perfectly matches up with our multilevel deck. The stone matches the front of our house at my request, which Wall to Wall very patiently accommodated. It is a big patio, so it took some time for the mason to accumulate the stone knowing it was important to me that it match. He was very professional and hard-working. The president of Wall to Wall was routinely on hand to check on the project and maintain constant communication. One neighbor has already asked that Wall to Wall complete their patio as well!

We love our deck! It is architecturally interesting yet functional, beautiful while easy to maintain, and the perfect size for our house. We look forward to grilling out and hosting our first party thanks to Wall to Wall. Everyone who worked on this large project was professional, courteous, timely (rain and supply backlog were out of their control as far as punctuality) and focused on excellent quality. The president of Wall to Wall in particular is an excellent communicator. He responds quickly to questions, is fair in his approach to pricing and changes to the project, and most importantly, he explains the process and any necessary changes patiently, while also listening to and addressing his clients' concerns and thoughts. My husband and I have already recommended Wall to Wall to neighbors and friends and have used them for 2 other projects as well.
Description of Work: Designed and built multilevel deck.
Wall to Wall's president, Julio Angel Tuesta Noel, assessed the garage's condition and proposed renovations that would make it usable again and protect it from further damage. The main door and the access door were damaged beyond repair, as was the roof. Exterior woodwork was badly deteriorated, and the brickwork had some cracks and dings. The gutter was long gone. Tree roots had broken the walkway and skewed the access doorway. Angel sized up the situation calmly and quickly and proposed the necessary repairs, but nothing extravagant. He and his team replaced the roof and exterior woodwork, installed a new gutter and an ingenious downspout, repaired the brickwork, constructed garage doors, installed a custom access door, painted the roof and woodwork, and replaced the broken concrete walkway. He kept us informed at every stage, and made sure that we were satisfied with the work, which was everywhere clean and tight. We are pleased with the work and particularly with the solutions that Angel came up with for problem areas. All the workers were skilled and pleasant. The garage is solid and dry again, and everything looks great.

I was highly impressed with our entire experience with this contractor, and we are already asking them for additional work on our house. Within a day of submitting my meeting request online, they emailed and set up an appointment for a day that same week. Mr. Julio Angel Tuesta Noel, the company president, met with us to review our needs, and suggested several detailed, highly informed courses of action, including honest pros and cons, for building an electric garage door frame (we did not want a full building) and replacing the back gate. He is extremely familiar with the administrative and practical idiosyncrasies of working in Washington, DC and specifically on Capitol Hill. He sent us a quote within the time frame he'd promised, and it was MUCH more reasonable than other quotes we'd had. His team started right on time, worked efficiently, left a tidy workspace at the end of each day, and were extremely responsive to our questions throughout the project. He himself was present for at least a part of most of the days the team worked. They removed an existing metal chain link gate, poured concrete to secure new support posts for the garage structure, built the frame and installed the single-car garage door with standard electrical motor, built & painted (matched to the house!) a wall around the garage door facing the alley, and installed a new electrical circuit which came from the main panel of the property though outside conduits. (The electricity was actually quite an involved part of the project -- they had to go through drywall all the way from the opposite end of the house, and run wires through the ceiling vent and then out along the edge of the yard fence -- and with the flawless end result, you'd never even have known they were there, and you can't tell at all where the work was done inside the house.) In addition, they replaced the rear fence gate with a new one to match existing, including replacing existing side posts along with the concrete footers. They completely removed all debris (gates, fence sections) and left a super clean area. We are thrilled with the final results and strongly recommend Wall to Wall Construction, Inc.

Beginning in July 2015 the Wall to Wall Construction team worked on an extensive kitchen and bathroom renovation at my home. This was my second major project with Wall to Wall. The first involved the renovation of 3 bedrooms and was completed in 2013. That project is reviewed here on Angie?s List as well. Having had such an overwhelming good experience with the 2013 renovation I was excited to get the band back together for the kitchen and bathroom project. To clear up any potential confusion as you read this review, the owner of Wall to Wall Construction signs his emails Julio Angel Tuesta Noel. Many other reviewers call him Angel and he usually refers to himself as Angel. He answers to both Julio and Angel so I decided to go with Julio. I retained an architect to design both the kitchen and bathroom spaces. The kitchen was a small galley style kitchen and was adjacent to a fairly large dining room. We decided to move the kitchen to the dining space and make the former kitchen the new dining area. This involved taking down a wall and gutting the space. Removing the wall required that a support beam be added to support the upper floor of the house. As for the bathroom, the space is small and the architect focused on maximizing the storage space. There was also a leak in the bathroom that we discovered just prior to starting the renovation. Further, we also completed cosmetic changes to areas outside of the kitchen including ductwork and replacing the hardwood floors. Julio and the Wall to Wall team were indispensable to the success of this project. A few highlights of the incredible job they performed. As mentioned, my first renovation with Wall to Wall Construction was in 2013. It was gratifying to see that the same crew, Enrique, Samuel, and Edwin, were still on the Wall to Wall team. I also met some new members of the team including Jovani who does the electrical work and Carlos the heating and cooling technician. Julio has an exceptional team and they are all true professionals. Julio balances multiple construction sites. Not once did I feel as if my renovation was being neglected as he devoted his team to another project. At the beginning of the project, Julio projected that the renovation would last about 4-months and, indeed, it took 4-months. I lived in the home during the renovation. Julio and his crew could not have been more considerate of the fact that I was living in the house during the renovation. Julio was particularly sensitive to security at my home and ensured that his crew locked up the house securely after each day. I had to travel for work while the renovation was ongoing. Julio kept the project moving and his crew on task. He worked closely with the architect and I had no anxiety about the status of the project. I even asked the crew to keep my Peruvian ghost peppers watered during the summer heat while I was away and they gladly helped out. Another highlight from the project was the fact that Julio developed a friendly, healthy and collaborative working relationship with the architect. Julio appreciated her role on the project and respectfully made suggestions when architectural plans and reality didn?t quite mesh. Julio doesn?t just point out potential problems. He points out a problem AND suggests a solution. Julio, the architect and I had a weekly meeting and despite a hectic schedule he was right on time and missed only one meeting due to a scheduling snafu (he joined us by phone instead). He made up for it by bringing donuts to the next weekly meeting. Wall to Wall really does aim to make clients love their homes. I always hated the way the soffits had been built around the ductwork at my home. They seemed too large and poorly done. Before the start of the renovation Julio explained that we could develop a plan for addressing the ductwork once the ductwork was fully exposed after demolition. As promised, Julio brought in Carlos, his heating and cooling technician, to examine the ductwork once the spaces were gutted. This was an extra cost, and as always, Julio was extremely responsive with the estimates and provided the change order information immediately. Carlos brought in all new ductwork and positioned them so that they were more discrete. The new soffits built by Julio and his team are vastly superior to what existed. I think what elevates Wall to Wall above other companies is their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism. One night I found that the garbage disposal wasn?t working. I texted Julio and told him that perhaps it would need to be looked at by the crew. It was only after I texted Julio that I figured out the issue was a reset button on the bottom of the garbage disposal. Do you know that Julio called me to alert me about the reset button! I felt horrible about having him call but, as always, he was cheerful and happy to help. A few weeks ago, I had a problem that unfortunately could not be solved with a reset button. I woke to find that my heat was not functioning properly. I texted Julio, explained the problem and asked whether he could pass on the contact information for Carlos, the heating and cooling technician that works with Wall to Wall. Not only did Julio reach out to Carlos on my behalf but he did this all within 15 minutes of my text. Carlos was at my home later in the afternoon and diagnosed and fixed the problem at a reasonable price. The furnace has been working without a hitch ever since. The renovated kitchen and bathroom have made an immense difference in how I use and enjoy my home. I lived in the home throughout the 4-month renovation and Julio and his crew made what should have been a horribly stressful process manageable. I think your renovations are safe with Julio and his amazing Wall to Wall Construction team.
Description of Work: Wall to Wall Construction gutted the bathroom, kitchen and dining room spaces and completed an extensive renovation.
By way of background, I knew when I bought my house 7 years ago that it would require updating. I was new to homeownership and it was only after I was in the home that it slowly dawned on me that the renovations would not be as simple as I had thought. In fact, it really hit home how much work the house would need when after about 2 ½ years in the house a wall of cabinets in the kitchen collapsed. The collapse left a gaping hole in the wall. I made a few inquiries about getting the hole fixed and received several estimates, some as high as $4,000, before finding Julio Tuesta and Wall to Wall Construction on Angie?s List. A little tip, when I first contacted Wall to Wall I swear that the owner introduced himself as Julio. The signature line on his email is Julio Angel Tuesta Noel. I call him Julio, his crew calls him Angel and he calls himself Angel most of the time. I also see that other reviewers refer to him as Angel. Basically, just pick one of his names and go with it. Julio was at my house within a day of my contacting him about patching the kitchen wall. Julio understood that I was just looking for a quick fix. He didn?t pressure me into completing a major repair since it was obvious that the kitchen needed significant work. I appreciated his consideration. The work was excellent and very reasonable at $300. While he was there we discussed his professional background, his company and the types of renovations I needed for my home. Fast forward a year later to 2013. I decided to start renovating my home by starting with the bedrooms. I contacted Wall to Wall about completing an estimate for the bedroom renovation. Julio was responsive and punctual which I have learned is simply the way he does business. We had an excellent meeting. I was nervous since this would be my first major renovation but Julio?s calm and professional demeanor and his obvious expertise put me at ease. He provided me with an estimate for the work within a week. We further laid out the renovation plan in a few phone calls and the project started just before Thanksgiving in 2013. As part of the renovation, the Wall to Wall team removed tattered old carpeting in the bedrooms and replaced the floors with hickory hardwood flooring. All of the trim around the doors and windows were removed and replaced. The baseboards in the bedrooms were old and damaged. The renovation plan included removing the old baseboards and replacing with 5-3/4" tall baseboards and 1-1/4" inch caps. In the smallest bedroom that was intended to be used as an office the wall was badly damaged and what had once been a door was covered up with old wood that had sustained significant water damage over the years. The renovation plan included repairing the walls and replacing what had been the door with a new window. Finally, Wall to Wall painted all of the rooms. I lived in the house throughout the renovation. Julio and his crew were deeply considerate and arrived every morning right on time to begin the day. They also cleaned up the work area each night and tightly secured my home when they left. Near the end of the project I had to travel for work. Julio sent me updates while I was traveling and, in fact, the team wrapped up the project while I was in New York. I came home to find everything complete just as Julio had indicated in his updates. A few highlights from the project. The house was built in 1916 and so the closet space in the master bedroom reflected that era. During a meeting to discuss the progress of the project, I discussed my disappointment with the closet space and Julio suggested building an extension to the closet and going with an Elfa system from The Container Store. His suggestion transformed how I use the closet. I went from storing clothing in plastic bins in multiple rooms to having everything neatly arranged in a proper master bedroom closet. The closet extension was a change to the original renovation plan. Accordingly, Julio and I executed a change order form to my contract. I signed off, provided the payment for the additional work, and his team was there on Saturday building the extension. Julio is excellent at providing everything in writing and efficient about payments. Your initial estimate, contract and change orders will be provided in writing and payments processed efficiently. I think his timely handling of these administrative aspects of his company demonstrates his professional commitment to his clients. I had always intended to use the smallest of the bedrooms as an office. Instead, it became a junk room. I would simply close the door to that room to try and forget the mess on the other side. During our initial meeting Julio immediately understood how I wanted to use that room. He has a lot of experience with older homes and explained that there was probably once a patio on the back of my home that had long since been demolished. Once the patio had been demolished the previous owners simply covered up the door with a large piece of wood, painted over the wood (very badly), and left it at that. Julio and his team replaced the old door space with a window. He also repaired the badly damaged walls. A room that was once a forbidden junk zone is now a bright airy spacious room and a favorite with houseguests. Julio is extremely responsive. Send him a text or call and he gets right back to you. This was such a relief after hearing of the horror stories of non-responsive contractors. As mentioned, I had to spend several days in New York at the tail end of the project. I had absolutely no anxiety about leaving the house in Julio?s hands. His crew is trustworthy and Julio provided me with updates the entire time I was away. Further, Julio is very considerate of budget. Not once during the project was I pushed to go over what I was comfortable spending. He is smart and thinks on his feet. He is a wiz at identifying problems and recommending cost effective solutions. I had an overwhelmingly positive experience with this renovation. I have worked with Wall to Wall recently and the details are provided in a separate review. Wall to Wall is truly an exceptional company and I recommend them without hesitation.
Description of Work: Wall to Wall completed an extensive renovation of 3 bedrooms. The renovation included replacing old carpeting with hardwood flooring, replacing wood window trim and baseboards throughout the rooms, adding a window to replace a boarded up door and building a closet extension.

Angel was very professional and very easy to work with. He kept us up-to-date at every step of the process and adjusted on the fly when we hit unplanned difficulties. His team was prompt and extremely professional. I have had multiple people in our neighborhood comment about the garage job, stating how well they did and asking for the name of the contractor. I hope some of them give Angel a call because I couldn't recommend Wall-to-Wall Construction more highly.

The work went well. We were very satisfied with the work done by Angel and his team. Much of the up front negotiation was handled while we were out of town and Angel was patient and made several visits to our house to help us confirm things in our absence, including helping to troubleshoot some initial design issues when we discovered that we might b able to reclaim some space behind one of the walls. The design itself was more or less ours with Angel providing input on our ideas based on his experience. Wall to Wall did all the work and provided the "contraction-related" materials. We did the shopping ourselves for the finish materials (fixtures, tile, etc.) and cabinetry. Whenever possible, Angel was able to place orders for us and he passed along his contractor discount. There were a few hiccups along the way (I would expect no less on a big project like this), but Angel made each one right, when it was an issue his team caused, and was patient when delays occurred that were caused by materials we ordered arriving late or damaged. The project did take longer than we had anticipated, but much of that was caused by our decision to source materials ourselves and trying to plan this remotely. We had used Wall to Wall in the past for smaller jobs and been satisfied and that was a major factor in our decision to work with them on this larger project. Angel is conscientious and customer-focused. We will definitely consider them for any future work on our house.

Angel is very responsive and professional. He requires a deposit to lock down a work date but I can understand that when you have so many jobs going and the risk of a job not happening will cost his business money. Angel was able to give me an estimate through just a picture of my living room. He quoted a price, gave me a date and a window and they showed up promptly on time. The worker he left was extremely detail oriented. They covered up everything in my living room to protect it from dust and paint. He took two days but the final product is great--in fact it looks better then the other edges of wall in the house. The price is mid-range but the work is high quality. I especially appreciate the courtesy and professionalism. We will use them again for our Kitchen.

This is the third time we have used Wall to Wall Construction and once again they lived up to our expectations. Angel and his team have previously installed wood flooring for us and renovated one of our bathrooms (beautifully in both cases), so we did not hesitate to ask them to complete this job. Angel is a true professional who is honest and reliable. The work was done exactly as described in a timely fashion. We could not be happier with the finished product. Thank you again Angel!

The company was on time, responsive, and professional throughout. The owner understands construction and has an honest and skilled crew. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. The only issue was that we were change ordered for every nickel and dime. This did not bother me, but it is the only reason my husband will not reach out to them again. I think the quality and professionalism outweigh that one detail.

Wall to Wall is top notch: excellent and professional communicators, timely and on-schedule work, totally responsive to change requests, transparent estimating, honest feedback and conversations, friendly, and a "feel good" contractor. We engaged Wall to Wall over the course of months for a variety of potential projects and have so-far had them re-do our back deck, earlier in the summer. We had a preliminary design (sketch) in mind and Wall to Wall fleshed it out and made it real. They handled engagement with other services, like the countertop company, and made the whole process easy. They have an excellent eye for detail and aesthetic. They didn't just build the deck, they made it look great. The little details - a rounded edge here, alternating overlapping boards there - are the difference between a pro and an amateur. An they are the pros. They took the time and effort to ensure symmetry, usability, durability, and all the finer points that differentiate contractors. They were also honest and forthcoming. Some of our ideas would have proven not-so-great if implemented, but Wall to Wall provided that feedback directly, honestly, and professionally. Many others just keep quiet and take the check, but Wall to Wall provides you an excellent product. They are not the cheapest that you will find, but they are far from the most expensive. In this business you get what you pay for, and we feel like we did. Wouldn't have done it any other way. As mentioned, Wall to Wall is transparent in their estimating, will explain where the big budget lines are, and will explain if any options exist to decrease costs. The cost-value with Wall to Wall is totally worth it. We'll use them again, for sure.

Angel and his team were great to work with and we are very pleased with the end result. The kept the work space very clean and while things took a little longer than we'd anticipated, we are very pleased with the final product. Angel is a genuinely nice guy and very responsive. We'd definitely use them again and recommend them to others.
