They performed the roof replacement in a single day and it was poor workmanship. When I asked the superintendent to fix their mistakes prior to making my final payment, he got really upset and started yelling at me at 7:00 in the morning. This company lacks any kind of professionalism and you will need to double check all of their work.

Things went well, the team came one morning and after about 4 hours or so they were done. Hugh came back the next day to inspect the work again and fixed a minor remaining issue.

We have used Keith Roofing twice now and will definitely use them in the future. They are the only roofers we call. Our house has the original slate roof, almost 100 years old and they have done excellent work repairing it. We will eventually need to replace it and we will call them to do it. No one i trust more.

I contacted the company through their website but I was never contacted back so I went with someone else.

Mr Keith correctly diagnosed the issue with the roof, sent pictures. We agreed on price before the work was started. They workers arrived promptly, completed the work, and cleaned up the site. Mr. Keith sent the "after" pictures to document the solution.

Mr. Keith gave me an estimate the first work day after I called. The estimate included pictures of the problem areas, annotated with circles and arrows, and a written estimate. His prices are very competitive. He personally came on the scheduled day of the work to show me his license, bond and insurance. The work crew started on time and completely cleaned up. That day I had pictures of all the work in my inbox. I will definitely hire them again the next time I need to have the roof resealed in a few years.

He never came out. He was responsive in answering the phone every time, but he just never came out. The fact that he failed to follow up stands out. The company could have better follow up and better communication.

Words cannot describe how wonderful Keith Roofing was. I had 5 separate companies come out to my home to give quotes and Hugh Jr. left an impression with me. He hopped up on a ladder first thing to take a look at the job, took numerous pictures that he printed in his truck and brought back in with me to discuss, presented numerous options on roofing material and patiently sat with me while I asked all kinds of questions -- even answered calls later on in the day to answer follow-up questions, as each company I had made different recommendations. While all 5 companies were within the same range of cost, Keith Roofing was all-inclusive. No matter what they found up there, the cost was set and they would fix whatever level of damage they found. Other companies were giving me a base price, and then all kinds of "what if" scenarios that would increase the cost. In addition, Keith Roofing only works in Washington, DC and had years of experience in my exact kind of roof (flat, low slope). On the day of the job, Hugh Sr. was sitting at my kitchen table at 7:00am to walk me through the process, 20 minutes later all of their men showed up and they got right to work. While I thought I had 2-3 layers of roof, it ended up being 4, as well as a substantial amount of rotted wood beneath. The men worked non-stop stripping the roof, Hugh Jr. took numerous trips to buy additional material and Hugh Sr. was on the job all day supervising. They were able to complete the job in one day, despite my roof being in terrible shape. When the men took a "break" for lunch, they did not actually take a break. They ate in shifts so work was constantly happening. They took tons of pictures during each stage and I was verbally kept in the loop throughout the day so I knew exactly what was going on. The next day, my front and back yard was left as if nothing ever happened -- every single piece of debris was hauled away. What was a pretty scary situation was put to rest and I couldn't be more thankful for Hugh Jr & Sr taking on my job quickly (I called and spoke with Hugh Sr. the night before, Hugh Jr. showed up the next morning to see the scope of work and give a quote and work was beginning on my roof 2 days later). I am incredibly happy that Keith Roofing was the company I picked.

Very well. Two years ago they performed short term foxes and I had them back to do more work. They came when they said, performed the work, and made recommendations. They are reliable and they do what they say. Also I respect that they are careful - roofing can be dangerous and they take care for themselves.

Owner of the firm was really friendly and came back to investigate some warranty concerns. Everything was fine, and he did a little extra work for no charge. We really appreciated it. Great group of guys.

We recently moved into a remolded home with a "new roof" and wanted to have someone inspect the roof prior to winter as we weren't confidant of the work the developed promised to have done. I contacted Keith Roofing and Hugh Keith, Jr. came out shortly after. Hugh arrived on time and I explained what I wanted (primarily to inspect the skylight) and he got started right away. Once finished with the inspection, Hugh showed me glossy photos of various areas of the roof along with a detailed summary of what needed to be repaired and cost (I assume he has a printer in his car). We both were shocked at what we saw (gaping holes, poorly installed flashing, absence of drip edges, etc.). Hugh said that he would encourage us to go back to the developer with the photos to try and have him fix the problems. No charge for the estimate and no pushy sales tactics. As we didn't trust that the developer would fix the issues appropriately, we decided to hire Keith Roofing and they were able to come a few days later. Once the work was completed, Hugh forwarded after pictures that evening with explanations as to what was completed. I had some follow up questions regarding one area of the roof and Hugh responded right away via email and then called and said he would be out the next day to look over the area. Overall, I've been really impressed with their prompt responses, follow up and professionalism and would definitely recommend them in the future.

Well in general - Keith was helpful as always, took pics and showed me nothing wrong with the gutters or roof. One leaf in the gutter! (which he removed). He even came back the following week to check above the basement door (where the water has been coming in) and see if he could add some sealant. Again, took pics and labeled to show me things. But again no real issues. Not sure where the issues of the leaks are coming from. But we had several brainstorming conversations about it :) and Keith didn't charge me anything for what he did... This is the third time I have used Keith (once before for a roof leak and once to replace a cracked skylight), I would use him again in a minute and highly recommend!

i met with several roofers to get price quotes and estimated time lines. Keith roofing was in the middle price wise and flexible with the dates. they were ready to work with an AC contractor i hired to replace my rooftop unit. also the dad was a former marine as am I so there was an instant connection there. they arrived when they said they would and left in a timely manner as to not disturb our 3 month old son. they took photos before, during and after. previous owners told me i had a new roof but i had multiple leaks. turned out they patched the roof many time by simply nailing down multiple layers of plywood and resealing. i have insulation board now and definitely felt the difference that winter in 2014. the only misstep was i was not informed the workers didn't work on Saturday (church). i am totally cool with that but when they left Friday without a final clean up and the porch roof wasn't sealed i was upset. i called and left a voice mail when they didn't show up on Saturday. my call was returned quickly and all was right with the world. so here it is a year later and the roofs are doing fine. i called them about a month ago because i thought i detected a leak. they came out and took a look a the porch roof and didn't see any issues. Hugh called me back and when i described the problem in the house they took another look. looks like the seals around my old wood windows (above he porch) were cracking. he purposed they were the cause of the lead and his fellows sealed them up. no charge! no that is awesome customer service.

I highly recommend Keith Roofing - I've only had great experiences with them. I initially called Hugh to take a look at a leak during the winter of 2014 and to evaluate the overall condition of the roof as I had just recently purchased the home and there was some evidence of previous water damage coming in from the roof. After inspecting the roof, Hugh was able to quickly diagnose where the leak was occurring and provided me with a very detailed walkthrough and explanation, with pictures, of a whole slew of other issues that I should consider resolving. After agreeing to the scope of the work, the job was executed quickly within the next week or so as expected without any issues. Similar to the initial detailed estimate, Hugh compiled a detailed report with pictures that showed exactly what work was performed - I found this to be extremely helpful and informative. Last month, about a year after the initial job was completed, I called Keith Roofing to evaluate a new leak that appeared in some recent heavy rains and to fix the drip edge on my front porch roof. Even though both of these items were unrelated to the job that was performed about a year ago, Hugh quickly took care of them free of charge. Needless to say, I'd definitely contact them again for any roofing needs.

Keith Roofing surveyed my roof and provided an estimate to replace 2 skylights and to complete other repairs. Work was completed on time and with high quality materials. Keith Roofing is very professional and answers all your questions before and after work has started/completed. I really can't say enough about these guys. I asked for quotes from multiple roofers and the difference was noticeable right away. Hugh Keith Jr. came to my house, got on the roof, took pictures, inspected everything and then -- on the spot -- printed the photos, showed me what was wrong and offered me what I thought was a reasonable quote for the work done. By contrast, another roofer showed up hemmed and hawed about how they would need to set up scaffolding to do that roof and I should probably just replace the entire roof since the scaffolding would be so expensive. Then never bothered to follow up with a quote. Needless to say I hired Keith Roofing. They were here next sunny day, did the work (with ladders not scaffolding), and promptly showed me photos explaining what was done. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We had a terrible experience with this contractor, and would recommend people stay away. We hired Keith Roofing in March 2015 to fix cracks in our roof that were leaking water into our house during snowstorms. We talked to several contractors and Keith Roofing gave us the highest bid ($2,753), but they assured us they would fix the leaking we were getting with snow. When the work was done, Keith Jr. told us that the roof should be fine for at least the next several years, and maybe longer. When the next snowstorm hit 10 months later (Jan 2016), the roof started leaking in all the same places while the snow was still falling, and caused a ton of damage to our ceiling. We had Keith?s workers come out to look at the roof again. One of their workers told us the sealant they added 10 months earlier had cracked, and they redid the repair. We assume there are bigger structural problems going on with the roof, which Keith Roofing didn?t diagnose when they did the original work. My husband had several conversations with Keith Sr. about the failure of the repairs they performed, and he was consistently abusive, unprofessional and insulting. He asked, ?Why did you call me in the middle of a snowstorm whining about your roof, and expect me to come out and fix your problems for you?? He said that *of course* our roof would leak in the middle of a heavy snowstorm- a very different message from the one his son pitched when they took the job. Keith Sr.?s general attitude was that we were naïve and stupid for expecting the roof not to leak, and to prove this point he asked, ?How long have you been a homeowner?? and, ?What is your profession?? We've never dealt with a business owner as unprofessional as Keith Sr., and urge people to hire someone else.

Keith Roofing did their usual, which is excellent work. We have used them for several projects now, and they have consistently been both professional and thorough. They give you a clear understanding of the work necessary and cost up front and provide you with photos of the work completed. In this instance, Keith came out to look over the roof, and fixed some minor seam cracks free of charge just to put my concerns to rest. I really appreciate their work and will recommend them to my friends.

They did nothing. I left two voicemails, on both of their numbers, and never received a call back.

After some quick email correspondence, Hugh Keith, Jr. came by my home and we spent 20 minutes on my roof discussing its condition and what needed replacing and refurbishing. He gave me a detailed estimate at that time. A few days later, I signed the contract he left with me and scanned and mailed it back to Keith Roofing. Hugh then emailed me that his crew could begin the next Monday and should take only one day for the work. The 2-man crew showed up at 7:30 am, on time, with Hugh Keith, Sr. (the company owner) and got to work immediately. I paid for the job in advance, when Mr. Keith arrived. The crew completed the job by 4 pm. I looked it over the next day; it was a fine, well-done job with a professional appearance. Everything that was detailed in the estimate was done well. One relatively small space underneath an air conditioning duct had been overlooked and was not scrapped or painted; when I told Hugh about it, he promised he would send someone out in a day or two to finish the work. That happened today. I am very pleased and would recommend Keith Roofing without hesitation.

Hugh Keith and his team were outstanding. They responding quickly to my initial call, set up a visit promptly to estimate costs, offered a reasonable quote and executed the job quickly and efficiently thereafter. Detailed pictures of the finished job were supplied immediately. I wouldn't hesitate to call on them again or recommend them to others. Added plus: They operate and work in DC without issue and even found their own parking.

They came to our house when we weren't home and took detailed photos which they left with an estimate, very accommodating. The estimate was comprehensive and easy to understand. The price seemed fair for the work performed and they did a great job. They also left photos and a detailed explanation after the work was done which was very helpful. We contacted them again for a skylight repair which seemed significantly overpriced so we did not use them for that project but we would use them again for roofing.
