Description of Work: Pascale and David performed an energy audit of our 30 year-old house. They were very thorough and explained each step of the audit. Provided a verbal report before they left our home and answered all our questions. The audit confirmed some of my suspicions of the condition of our existing insulation. We were also was informed of several aspects of our home's weatherization that we were unaware of. Audit was well worth the time and expense. Both Pascale and David were very professional and pleasant.

Description of Work: I had been wanting to do a Home Energy Audit for many years and having recently joined Angie's List, I found Energy Efficiency Experts on one of their deals. I contacted Pascale Maslin and scheduled the audit. She is a true professional and highly competent in her field. She scheduled the audit, called 30 minutes before arriving on time and conducted the audit in an excellent manner. The audit included a detailed report with pictures and a full explanation of what needed to be done. Pascale also explained in detail the rebate process and walked me through the steps for submission. As a result, I received rebates from Maryland state, Montgomery County, and PEPCO for home insulation and air sealing. These rebates made a significant dent in my overall cost to me. She gets my highest recommendation!!!!

Description of Work: Evaluated our PEPCO bills against the average for our home size. Evaluated attic and basement status regarding optimal insulation. Evaluated appliance status, light bulbs, and other electrical use and offered corrective suggestions. Evaluated status of recessed lights and bathroom fans in relationship to attic access and leakage. Performed a full house blower test.

Description of Work: Pascale came to our house to do a whole-house energy audit this past weekend. She'd impressed us even before she arrived by her flexibility in scheduling and then rescheduling the appointment at our request, and by then calling that morning to confirm. Once she arrived, she went right to work, inspecting the attic (which required her to shimmy through a trap door in the ceiling), the basement, and every place in between. In addition, Pascale sealed up the house to perform a negative pressure test, took infrared pictures of the major points of energy loss, analyzed our energy usage for the prior 18-month period, and wrote a detailed report, including charts and photos, on her laptop. She walked us through the report before she left to make sure we'd understand the technical aspects, and identified what we could do to remedy our energy issues, with associated pros and cons at different price points. All in all, the inspection and report discussion took about 3 1/2 hours. Pascale maintained her poise and professionalism throughout, despite the children running in and out and questioning her every move, and other complications. Our only suggestion for others is that you might want to clear the ashes out of your fireplace before Pascale comes over. Yes, she is that thorough.

Description of Work: EEE provided an energy audit of my 1950 split-level home. The objective was too find areas of improvement in insulating both the exterior and interior of the house. Pascale and her assistant Andrew brought in a sealed-in door fan, a couple of fancy gadgets, and proceeded to investigate every nook and cranny of the house, from basement to attic.

Description of Work: Pascale and Andrew from Energy Efficiency Experts did an excellent job. They were on time, cheerful, worked quickly and thoroughly, and were very helpful. They explained everything they were doing to check for leaks of heat and air in my 1938 house (there are plenty of them). The report they delivered online while they were still at my house was clear and helpful, and gives me a prioritized list of small and large improvements to make. Very interesting audit and recommendations. My highest recommendation!

Description of Work: This service was part of an Angie's list Big Deal. Currently in Montgomery county Pepco pays $300 toward the cost of an audit. The difference is usually $100, the Big Deal reduced that by 50%. I had an appointment 2 days after I called to schedule on. Pascale was on time and went immediately to work. She had an assistant with her who was very knowledgeable and knew what he needed to do without any delay or mistakes. The measure the whole house, record the last years utility bills, take photos and infra red photos and complete a air leakage test. It is important to be available during the test to answer questions. Pascale with give you progress reports which allows for clarification while she is there and she will dig deeper for information if she can not answer the question. All data is entered into a computer program as it is collected which generates a report specific to the property which focuses on improvements that need to be made, not a boiler plate report of every possible improvement. The report is divided into logical sections and presented in a way that it can be given to a contractor and becomes the scope work to be completed. After she has completed the report Pascale reviews the whole report with you and answers any additional questions. She also recommends contractors she has had experience with to complete work that needs to be completed. She will also come back after the work is completed to verify it was done correctly. This is at no additional charge.
