The company representative came to my home twice to provide a comprehensive quote. I was concerned because the company's quote for the carpet removal and cement work was significantly lower than my other quotes. I made it clear that I wanted to execute a firm fixed-price contract. The company provided a written quote. Subsequently, a contract was executed between the company and myself. Since the price was relatively low, I paid a 50% deposit and the company representative offered a 5% discount on the total price. The company had to coordinate their work with another contractor who was providing new railing for the steps. The two workers arrived at my home on time on the appointed day and worked without stopping until the work was complete. The company representative offered me a 6-month warranty. I promptly paid the balance of the contract.

Did not come back with an estimate, Waited but had to go with the one who gave me the best price for exactly what I wanted.

Bonn was responsive to changing requests, promptly available, well priced. A few communication misunderstandings came up but were resolved; just be clear in writing & discussions.

The guy was very professional. I would rate him high on that. The job went really well. He always showed up on time. We had a little mix up with what I wanted and what we wanted but we ended up working it out. I would rate him good on the work. He was good overall. He always followed through, which I appreciated. He took the time to explain things to me if there was a change in something in what we originally thought we were going to do.

He did a great job, it looks great. He was very prompt and business like.

I have had a persistent leak around my chimney, despite having a new roof put on in 2 months ago. Since I have had some chimney problems in the past, I contacted Bonn to examine the chimney and give me an estimate for repairing or replacing it. Mr. Njankenji came out and examined the chimney thoroughly. He showed me two problems with the flashing around the chimney that would account for the problem, and told me that the chimney itself was in good condition and would not typically cause the problems I described. Mr. Njankenji had to drive an hour to my house, then gave me a very honest appraisal that would deny him the job. I cannot speak highly enough about his professionalism and honesty.

We were getting engineered hardwood installed on our concrete slab floors when we realized that the concrete on an addition to the house was very uneven. We called around to concrete pouring companies, and despite the fact that it was Labor Day, Rodolfe answered and agreed to take a look that day. He came out to the house within about an hour of our call. He recommended drilling down and removing the concrete that was there, and pouring new concrete that would be level with the adjoining room. He understood that we were in a time-crunch, since we were scheduled to move into the house later that week. He started work the day after he gave us the estimate and completed the job within the promised timeframe. He and his crew did a fantastic job, and he took care to get rid of as much conrete dust as possible and repainted our walls where concrete splattered. The floor looks great, and we were impressed by Rodolfe's professionalism and ability to get the job done quickly and well. Apparently Rodolfe is somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades, so we will definitely hire him again to do additional work on our house, and recommend him to others.

I called Rodolf immediately after the earthquake to set up an appointment to repair my chimney; he arrived the next day to make an assessment and emailed me his estimate within a few days. I also had him include an estimate for mortar repair and re-pointing for some of the bricks on my porch. We had scheduled this work for the Saturday when Hurricane Irene hit Washington, so we had to change the appointment, and Rodolf was right on time for the new date. It took nearly six hours to repair the chimney since he realized his men had to reset and mortar some of the lower tiers of brick below the ones which had fallen off to make the whole thing absolutely secure and solid. I took a look after he was finished, and for such an old house the chimney looks nearly brand new, the area around it entirely clean and clear of any debris. Because of the extra time spent on the chimney, we scheduled to do the porch on the next Saturday which unfortunately had to be canceled because of the week long rains which were coming through the area. During this entire rescheduling ordeal, both because of the hurricane and the next rainfall, Rodolf kept me up to date by phone contact. Finally he was able to work on my porch on September 13th, and that job was finished in about 4 hours. And again I was very satisfied not only with the appearance of the porch but also with his removal of any trace of brick or mortar debris. Rodolf is clear on the details of a job and carefully checks the work when it is finished. I have nothing but praise for his integrity and work ethic, and this integrity is reflected in his workers. I had used him before and because of my satisfaction with him did not hesitate to get in touch after the earthquake. I will be contacting him again for some other repairs on my house sometime next spring, and feel very lucky to have found a contractor who I can trust and who takes genuine pride in his work!

I made an appointment with them to get a quote. He did not call and did not show up.

My experience with Rodolf and his team was excellent from the first meeting through finishing the final details. I met with Rodolf several times before the work started and we was always prompt and easy to contact. We made revisions to our initial request so Rodolf provided about 3 estimates before we decided on a final scope. His estimates were always detailed and easy to follow because he took careful notes each time we met. There was minor snag in the contracting since Rodolf is not licensed in Maryland, but we were able to arrange a contract with an associate who acted as the prime contractor. I have suggested to Rodolf that he obtain a Maryland license in addition to his D.C. contractor's license. Once work started his team showed up promptly and worked diligently. We completed a variety of work all of it good quality. They did a truly excellent job in re-setting our flagstone rear patio. In the end there we a few minor items I asked Rodolf to improve and he gladly came back to fix them, even after he had received payment. I was impressed with how dedicated he is to customer service. I would definitely recommend Rodolf to others.

Rodolph quickly responded to provide an estimate. I feared the looming Hurricane would cause leaking in my windows/masonry but wasn't sure where the water was coming in. I previously did some repairs but wasn't sure if I missed something. I called Rodolph and the next day, he stopped by and looked at my situation. He didn't see anything specific but did give me a few suggestions. Fortunately, it looks like my own repair work actually stopped the leaking. I appreciate Rodolph's honesty and suggestions.

Rudolph came out to my home on the day we agreed, and I explained what I wanted done. He assured me the job was not too small for him to undertake, and he understood that the job needed to be done quickly because it was a surprise for my husband who was out of town. Rudolph left my home with my contact information and said he'd email me an estimate. When I hadn't received an email 2 days later I phoned him and found out he'd sent the estimate to the wrong email address. (I spelled it out and double-checked that he'd had the correct information.) When I received his estimate, it stated on the bottom that work could begin upon my acceptance of the estimate - I phone Rudolph immediately who began to explain that he was 30 days behind on a job in Baltimore at the time - he hoped to have it done in the next two days! I had not understood this when he came to my home. He went on to explain that after the job in Baltimore he had one other job to finish, and then he'd get to my gate! What a complete waste of my time. I contacted another company and the work was started and completed the following day.

See above. Dealing with this contractor was very unprofessional and a waste of our time.

Rodolf quickly responded to my voice mail message requesting an appointment to discuss several projects to repair brick and concrete walls, come up with options to solve a patio drainage problem as well as replace a privacy gate. He arrived on time and we went through the list item by item discussing in detail how he would address each issue. The next day we received a itemized estimate. The costs were reasonable and after a couple of email exchanges to sort out a few details we settled on a date. Rodolf and his assistant were always on time and very professional every step of the way. Rodolf always responded quickly to emails, listened to our ideas and concerns, and worked extremely hard especially when it came to installing the drain pipes on the patio which involved digging a deep trench and drilling through brick and concrete on an extremely hot and humid day. In the end we were very pleased with the fnished product. The assistant demonstrated it's operability and the drain's location is very discrete. The work on the gate was not completed during this portion of the project but is scheduled within the next couple weeks so it is not included in the cost above. Because we were so pleased with the Bonn Group's work we asked Rodolf to repair the leaking concrete ceiling leading to the basement apartment. This work was completed today (in less than one day). The job, like the others was very well done and the site left neat and clean. The cost for this project was $600. Rodolf has also a network of professionals he works with and has offered to arrange for an electrician to assist us with several projects in that area. We highly recommend Rodolf's Bonn Group and will will definitely use his services again.

I met with the representative of the company. He was professional, polite and on time. However, after comparing prices with other companies, I decided to go with Lowe's because of pricing.

He was very good to work with. They knew what they were doing and they were very good. They came on time. He needed some time to come out.

I am very satisfied with the result. They were pleasant to deal with: polite and considerate. They did what they said they would do.

I called for an estimate and set a date and time. Contractor never showed for the time allotted and called 2hrs after the scheduled time but didn't leave a message. I had to call the contractor back and find out what happened and I tried rescheduling for another date and time and asked contractor if he was going to be late if he could be courteous enough to give me a call beforehand so that we could reschedule. The contractor again didn't show up and never called to explain. Although I had talked to him in length on the phone, I never told him that I got his name from Angie's List. I thought I would wait until he showed up and we talked price but if that is how he does business than he will not ever get any business from me.

They do a variety of things. The guy who came out, came out the same day to give me an estimate. He arrived when he said he was going to be here. He called ahead of time when I actually hired him to do the job. I needed the work very promptly done because I live in a town house development. They actually wrote me up because it was a maintenance issue. The guy who came out gave me the estimate and I thought it was excessive. I told him I couldn’t afford to pay so much. I told him that I would have to look for somebody else and he didn’t argue about it. He immediately came down by $200 on the price. He asked me what do I think the job is worth for or what was I expecting to pay. I gave him the number that I thought was reasonable and that’s exactly what he came down to. He said the money wasn’t important for him. He just wanted to please me and do a good job. He also wanted my referral. He didn’t grumble about the price. The guy that he sent out here spent all day out here. They even had to go back to the store and buy more stain because it took more than what they thought it would. I went ahead and paid extra because it did take so much of stain. I paid him on my own and he didn’t ask for more money. I figured that if it took an extra gallon and if they had to go back to the store for more stain, I would pay for that. It was a very good experience with him and he does other things besides fence staining or painting. I would highly recommend them in the future. He charged me initially $500 and I told him that I would pay $300, but I gave him a cheque for $325 because of the extra gallon of stain that they used. I would use their services again in the future.

Rodolf came and gave the estimate. He was on time, very knowledgeable, and very accomodating with our schedules, both for the estimate, and doing the work. One unfortunate thing happened during the work - some neighborhood kids came onto my porch late the second night, moved the caution tape and plastic sheeting, and messed up surface of the concrete. Rodolf fixed it as best he could on the third day at no charge. I will definitely use Rodolf again to build a fence in my back yard, and probably to do some brick repair on my chimney. 7-12-11 update- I have subsequently had Rodolf build concrete block walls connecting the back of my rowhouse to my garage. He and his team once again did a great job. The 6' high x 22' long walls appear very well built, despite the uneven ground they were working with. The job took less than a week and the job site was left very clean. During this job I also had Rodolf repair some loose bricks on my chimney. I would not hesitate to recommend his work and I will hire him again in the future.

They were fine. We went over everything and they put an estimate in writing. I had to remind them that there were some cracks in the back. When the guy showed up to give me the estimate I told him I needed to have that filled, but they didn't seem to remember that. They also repaired some steps. The metal support beams had to be replaced by 6x6 wood beams. They also put cement to support the two wood beams in the ground. I think the price was fair.

This was not an emergency. It was well-planned, and they did everything they were asked to do. Actually, they did more than they were asked to do. They repaired the other side of the fence. The gentleman who was the CEO or the president of the company was extremely cordial and very, very polite.

Bonn Group was extremely professional. After the estimate was made, I received a thorough overview of everything that was to be done. Each line item has explained in detail. We went over the estimate, signed a contract, and the work began immediately. The workers were highly efficient, conscientious, and eager to incorporate our feedback. The work was done quickly and we have a beautiful fence with a swinging parking pad gate, a level paver patio, and completely repaired concrete almost a year later. I could not be happier with their work.

This was the first time I had contracted with Bonn Group, and can only say that my experience was the best I have ever had with any contractor. After discussing possibilities with Rudolf during the estimation process, and after receiving an itemization of cost, I decided on the work to be done based on my budget. Rudolf showed up exactly on schedule to do the work, and kept me informed of possible changes in the schedule due to rain. Based on other estimates I had received, the cost was very reasonable, the work ethic of Rudolf absolutely impressive. His work was done while I was preparing my English basement apartment for rental and at the same time Rudolf was here I had another contractor, who I had used before, do repairs and general handyman work inside the apartment. Much to my dismay, my experience this time with them was dreadful. In grumbling about this with Rudolf, he tells me that in addition to concrete work he also does the same kind of interior maintenance work and repairs; I should have read more carefully the description of his capacities on Angieslist. But now that my experience with Rudolf has been so positive there is no question that in the future I will be contracting with him for all the upgrades and repairs to my property- both interior and exterior. I am planning to have him do some more brick work and make some repairs on my back porch later in the year. I feel fortunate to have found him and would encourage anyone who needs to have concrete as well as home repair work done to contact him. Not only is he a very friendly and responsive man open to all client comments and concerns, he is, in my experience, completely reliable and will provide a detailed estimation as well as description of what he can do at a very reasonable cost.

I've had Rudolph do work around the house before, he takes pride in his work, he is very committed and it has paid off for his business; he under-promises and over-delivers. If you are lucky to be able to catch him when he's not busy, then snap him up immediately, you won't be sorry. If only all the other contractors had his motivation, dedication and zeal! I'd missed some plasterwork, but he fixed it as well without being asked. Ask him to speak slowly because he has a strong accent which is lovely, but sometimes can be hard to understand. He is a five star worker.
