You should consider Art if you're in the Mansfield area. He works hard (I've seen him in a blizzard, sitting in his Open House down the block from the house we bought). He personally spent hours and plenty of muscle moving an annoying piano out of our basement. And as I wrote above, he way more than earned his commission from us when we were selling. We think he is scrupulously honest. This is even to the extent that he seldom will criticize a realistic house; but if you spend a little time with him you can read his body-language, you know which house he thinks you should buy. That said, he did several times tell us, in the driveway of a showing: "I hadn't seen this one before. This will waste your time, it's not for you. Let's go on to the next one." We appreciated that. He has good instincts for real estate. I recall one house he showed us that he pushed hard, not one of his own listings. It was a "fixer-upper". I'm neither handy nor want to deal with contractors so I didn't buy it; but even at the time I knew he was right, that house was a good value. He will, of course, show you his own listings and those from his company, and he will push a little, not much, at these. And I think that's fine, he's doing his job -- I'd want him to push at my house, too.
Description of Work: Art was our agent back in 1990 when we bought our first house. We liked him, so when we "moved up" in 2008 we used him again, both buying and selling. We had an inspection problem when we sold our house, and Art worked very hard with us to get the contractors in for the proper solution. We sold our house later, and he represented us in the buying end of the deal, too.
