The work turned out fine and they were efficient. There was a crew of about 6 people and it took 3 days to complete the work. They actually had miss measured the roof which came in under priced due to this. They honored their original price for us. We were very happy with the outcome of the job but there was definitely some clean up that could have been better.

They were very fast on the job and got it done in one day after Hurricane Sandy. There was a crew of 6 people. They were very professional and they were very clean while they were doing their work. They hauled away the old roof for me. The results are great and I am satisfied with the work they did.

201 788 9459Wonderful! Dennis was a terrific salesman- he was so knowledge and passionate about his products that we felt he was going to be our advocate. We were quite nervous about the project but we really felt in good hands. He showed us TONS of houses in our neighborhood that we could look out to check out the colors and types of siding- which we took advantage of. Things took place exactly how and when we were advised. The workmen were all nice as could be and extremely competent and proud of their work. The clean up was totally efficient. People kept stopping to comment on what a terrific job was done. Detail was taken on EVERYTHING to a fault. Other estimates we got for roofs were less- but Dennis and his team pointed out a few flaws in the design and offered some changes that make the roof more efficient. We felt they werent just slapping on a new roof- they were concerned about the efficiency and safety for our benefit. We felt that the whole team from Vinylume were ' siding geeks" which was exactly what we wanted.!!!! The finished product is just beautiful. There was follow up to make sure we were satisfied. We could highly recommend Vinylume to our neighbors - except most of our neighbors recommended them to us first! Well done.

The estimate was something between $2000 and $3000. The guy was very professional.

Two excellent crews. Slow with the quotes and because of size of job we did do some haggling on price. Once the job was started it was well done and with good quality. This is a family owned business and they do care. Would use again.

I had a very good experience with Vinylume Home Improvement & Renewal by Andersen. They did what they said they were going to do on time.

I chose them for their professionalism. The whole thing took a little more than a day. The brunt of the job took a day. They came back another day just to clean up some things. The work met my expectations, totally. They did a good job. It looks great. I'm happy to have it done. Their price was good. I did some price comparison and the price came in very good. It's guaranteed for like twenty years. I really like that. The setting up of the appointment was good. They were in and out of here. The worst of it was a day. We did have a little bit of problem. We switched the color and the salesperson neglected to note that. So they actually brought over the shingles in the wrong color the day before. When the foreman came out to talk to me the night after the delivery came to confirm what they were doing and we realized it, they made the switch and they were able to do the roof like they'd planned on it, the next morning. Even with that little glitch, they were able to work with us. The clean up was good. They did a good job. As a matter of fact, even still like I said, we had a couple of little things like when they threw down some shingles, I have a white cement stair front and when they threw it down it left a black mark on the cement stairs that I couldn't get out. They came over with some solution and they got rid of it. It was great. So even to that degree, they were really good. They are the preferred placed for siding I'm probably going to go to them for siding but I do want to do that same thing I always do. I do a price comparison. I will use them again.

Overall my experience was absolutely awful. We called to schedule an appointment after getting a flyer in our door. The scheduler was unwilling to give us more than 2 appointment times, both of which were inconvienient for us. Once scheduled, we had three confirmation messages left on our phone the day before, one call we picked up, and another message left the day of the appointment! The salesman arrived on time, 5:30pm on a Friday night and we expected him to be wrapped up by 6:30 as we'd been told it would take around an hour. HE TALKED FOR 4.5 HOURS!!! We learned next to nothing about his company/products but got to hear lots of complaints about other companies. He did not know his products when asked questions and had to call his boss several times. He even gave several answers that I know were incorrect! There was one window I wanted replaced with a different type and he argued that it would be "too much work." My husband and I walked him to the door several times, but he just kept talking his way back in. He stayed while we put the kids to bed, guests arrived, I had to take a conference call, AND even after I changed into my pajamas (take a hint, buddy!). When all was said and done, the quote he gave us for just the windows was $32,000! Compared to similar windows quoted recently by Pella for $16,000 the whole thing just became a very rude joke. I would like to send Vinylume a bill for our time that they wasted.

There is no more to tell. This is not rocket science. Good job I would use them again for any job that they have in their arsenal.

We selected Vinylume after getting several quotes for siding, selected a premium product and scheduled a start date. They arrived early, not bad early, but, "cool, they are eager to set up the work site early." The sales person told me that a site engineer would walk me around the site to answer questions and plan for unexpected possibilities. This happened, and I was introduced to site supervisor and every other day we met and he updated us on progress. Throw in the unexpected hurricane, site safe and house safe; the job was completed above expectation. I argued for cedar (natural wood) and she argued for cedar impressions - she won and I am glad.

They did a beautiful job. Their pricing is not competitive, but they workman ship and quality of their product are excellent. They are very professional. When they make an appointment, they show up and they stay with the job until it is completed. I was really impressed with the carpentry that was involved with the work. They did a really nice job.

Left several messages on answering machine and a live person and no one ever responded or called us back. Nothing good to say about this company.

I was looking to replace windows and received this company as a good company. I did not have that experience. At first the company refused to come give me an estimate unless my husband also agreed to take 2 hours off from work and be here as well. After having to talk to the manager they finally agreed to come and give me an estimate. The man did not arrive on the date and time scheduled and then when I called them an hour after our appointment time they said they needed to reschedule. The next time the man was also late for the appointment. After reviewing the product and looking at what my needs were the man did not want to give em an estimate unless me and my husband came into their showroom. Again I refused to have my husband take time off from work just to get an estimate and while they did offer me weekend times I did not think I needed to pay a babysitter to get an estimate. Finally they sent me the estimate which was so expensive I would never get a return on my investment in the next 30 years of living in my house. Since then I have received other estimates that were thousands of dollars less then what this company gave me.

I would not do it again because two of the most conspicuous windows are not what I wanted. All the other windows are great.

Wow are they overpriced. Dennis was easy to work with however he did not keep a commitment to measure part of our house to be able to give us a complete quote . I supposed it is just as well because the part of the estimate he was able to furnish was ridiculously overpriced....35% more than the average of the other quotes I had received. When I asked Dennis about this he started to explain about how they are a great company, family owned, solvent, properly insured, blah, blah, blah, blah. I stopped him and explained that I was only getting quotes from companies that I had already qualified so he should assume it is a level playing field and all the vendors had a similar story to tell, now why are they so much more expensive? He did not have a satisfactory response. I'm sure Vinlylume does a great job and for their inflated prices they absolutely should do a perfect job. I found a better balance of quality and cost with a different vendor who is also highly rated on Angie's List.

It turned out great. The windows turned out great, and they are easy to use. They cleaned up after themselves. They did a call back to make sure I was happy. They were there on time.

We had the Flemings replace the windows in the rest of our house about 20 years ago, and they did a great job then, so when we needed new windows in the family room (we did not replace them when we did the rest of the house) we called them again. Money does not come easy to us, so we wanted a good quality window installed by someone we could trust. We are absolutely thrilled with the quality of their work and with the end result. They installed a bay window where there wasn't one before, and I was a little nervous about the construction since this is an old house. I need not have worried. They did such a fabulous job in a completely professional manner. They said it would take two days and the job actually was finished by 2 pm on the second day. They cleaned up after themselves between the first and second day and also when they were done. WE LOVE THE WINDOWS!! The bay window made a huge difference in the room. Also, over the years if we need any small repairs on the windows installed 20 years ago, they promptly come over to take care of it. I cannot recommend the Flemings more highly. They now have the third generation in the business, so they are tried and true in this community. They are professional, reliable and trustworthy. They also do roofs and siding, so as soon as we finish paying off our children's college tuitions, we will call them to perform those improvements on our house!!!

Started on time, crews worked from 8:15AM to 5:30PM Mon-Fri and a smaller make up crew on Saturdays 9am to 1PM to make up for 2 days of rain and lightening.House took 5 days to strip. Filled 1 and a half large dumspsters.House was inspected after stripping and planking that was rotted or damaged was replaced before it was wrapped, all electrical outside outlets and lights were replaced and lined with polypropylene liners, as well as, the outside water spigets.The rest of the 2 and half weeks was taken up with wrapping, foaming and vinyl installation. Everything went like clock work, supervisors were always stopping by to check on pregress and cleanliness.Crew size varied from 3 to 6 at any one point.Payment was as follows: 20% at Contract Signing, 40% on first day of work, 40% after final inspection. Building materials were delivered on the Friday, the weekend before job start.

We chose Vinylume because of the option to have pine veneer interior so that we could maintain the period integrity of our home, which has its original wood mouldings. Due to poor workmanship, the majority of the windows had to be reinstalled within weeks. During staining, we found silicone all over the sashes and frames, which could not be removed or stained. The reinstallation and final product were acceptable but it was a huge headache to get to that point.

The work is very high quality and the workers are great and professional. They clean-up everyday. Meet their dead-lines. The organization has been in business for a long time in this are.
