 + -1 moreWe obtained quotes from three contractors. P&L was not the least expensive but we felt they would be the best to work with. We were not disappointed. From the start I felt I was dealing with a family business with a reputation to uphold. They were willing to deal with some special considerations such as replacing some rotted boots, chimney cap, etc. They were flexible to our needs. Due to the wet spring the start date was understandably delayed by several weeks but once they started it required only 4 days. Given the significant investment we observed what they were doing while they were here and were impressed with the quality and professionalism of their work. In fact, with all the tarps and debris removal it was hard to tell that they were even here. That is impressive given all of our flowers and surrounding bushes. We can report no leaks after this week's heavy rains. However, I was not expecting any. I will definitely hire this contractor for future work that we may require.
Description of Work: We received a quote for a complete re-roofing of our 25 yr old house [2300 sq ft]. This included removal of our existing roofing material, replacement of rotted plywood as necessary, along with installation of ice and water barrier materials in leak prone areas [chimney, dormers, valleys, edges, etc.], drip, rake, boots and chimney flashing, and felt paper covering in all other areas. GAF/ELK architectural shingles with a lifetime guarantee were installed. The price included debris removal, all taxes and local permit fees. Importantly they have all the necessary insurance and licensing.
