The vendor did a great job and was very knowledgable. We would have used him to upgrade our insulation if we weren't moving.

I am disappointed with this company. The provider is pushing products that other qualified energy consultants do not recommend for this climate. He failed to notice several serious problems in my attic such as black mold. I would not call him again.

It turned out pretty well. They got the job done in a couple of hours. The technicians were fine and well-behaved. We had no issues with scheduling.

Process went smoothly. Contractor accommodated our schedule in establishing time for initial energy inspection and for the installation. He supervised and assisted his crew, as well as doing the detailed solar fan installation himself. When a question arose about the garage pipe coverings, he returned and ensured our satisfaction. He also cheerfully accommodated a change in our solar fan order and returned a deposit for a third fan we had changed our mind about. He provided the requisite documentation for solar fan energy credit.

They came to give an estimate for the work. The estimate was too high so I did not hire them to do the work.

Bill, the owner of the company, came the morning after I contacted him to give us a free estimate. He was polite, friendly, and took the time to explain all of the energy improvements he would suggest making in our home. He was extremely thorough, and took the time to listen and respond to our concerns and questions. He provided us with a comprehensive estimate within two days, and gave us the space to make our own decisions about what aspects of the estimate we wanted to go forward with. He promptly began the work, and was completed in less than two days. He, and his staff, worked efficiently and were very pleasant. We noticed a difference immediately in the way our house heated/cooled. We were thrilled with Bill and his staff, and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in improving the efficiency of their home systems.

He came, looked at the house and wrote up a report. It was more for loss of insulation and I thought it would have been more for insulating the whole house. He was more focused on the product he deals with. Scheduling was easy. I have spoken him a few times and he has always been responsive

They did an energy audit and had a product to sell. I was really not interested in what they were selling at this time

Bill was fantastic to work with. He is very knowledgeable about his products, friendly, responsive, and worked with me to stay within my budget. During the day of installation, he and another worker came on time and worked hard to finish the installation within a few hours. When they were done, Bill walked me through the work they had done --- which I could tell was done with attention to detail. I cannot yet comment on the quality of the insulation, but I am sure I will see a big difference come summer. Overall, I would enthusiastically recommend Bill and Eco Energy Guard.

Mr. Brown was very thorough -- he checked every window, every door, basement, attic, all the bedrooms and bathrooms, etc. He gave concrete suggestions such as lifting the door threshold, doing chimney seal, wrapping hot water heater, etc. He introduced some products but wasn't pushy at all. He was very patient explaining and spent almost 2 hours on checking my house. I would certainly recommend an energy audit by Mr. Brown.

I hired Mr. Brown to do some work he suggested at his energy audit. His work is professional and he paid attention to details. I appreciate that he works with my budget to improve energy efficiency in my house.

Bill came out to investigate my attic space which I knew had very little (and old) insulation. He recommended installing R-30 between floor joists. He even pulled up existing plywood floor and then replaced to maintain storage and walking space. On top he installed reflective insulation. The entire attic was left neat and clean and was well worth the cost. Bill is going to contact me in the spring to install a solar attic fan. I would recommend Bill to anyone. He is a pleasure to deal with!

It didn't go as well just because I thought that they were going to come and sort of show me places where we could insulate better but it turned out to be more of a sales call that they were trying to sell a product worth $200 if you purchase their insulation materials. I thought they would show me how to do the little things around the house. I think I just misunderstood the deal. I didn't hold it against them. It's just not what I had expected. The guy that came over was very nice. I thought they would audit but instead he just talked about how we could insulate the attic and she sowed me the different materials that he was selling. It was way out of our price range so we were not able to do it.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. Everything was fine. I didn't spend any additional. The price was fine. I don't think it would be necessary to use them again.

We highly recommend Bill and his services. We purchased a deal on Angie's List to have an Energy Audit done at our home. Bill was a consummate professional contacting us promptly to make an appointment and making sure we were educated throughout the process. At the end of the audit we were provided with a list of improvement areas and the corresponding costs if you chose to have him do the work. We plan on doing a number of these improvements throughout the next few months.

Bill was very helpful and accomodating. He went out of his way to help me with my limited budget - even repaired my door handles for free! I would highly recommend him and will use him again in the future.

Bill was very friendly and called us back within hours of completing the contact form on his website. After checking the attic and doing a quick walk-though our home, Bill suggested three energy-saving options: installing a radiant barrier, a solar fan for the attic, and an HVAC smart chip. We do hope to work with Bill in the near future, but (due to the cost) we will be waiting until the spring to complete the work.

Good, did entire ceiling in half a day

I will say he was prompt and contacted me immediately to set up the audit within minutes of buying the "deal". I believe he showed up to the house on time, too. A good energy audit takes several hours. They seal the house, meaure airflow, measure, seal cracks and remeasure. There are plenty of companies that will perform that service. I thought this would be one, and I was curious about insulation for our walls (older home- plaster walls). I was wrong. The energy survey was about 20 minutes. No measuring of any kind, and obvious statements like CFCs should be used (BTW- other compnies will actually give you these for their audits), and no word about the wall insulation, even though that was a specific area of interest. The reason, they don't sell that! The only feedback was the company trying to upsell us on additional insulation in the attic (we already had new insulation in the attic- they were trying to sell their product to go on top- completely unnecessary), and a cover for the whole house attic fan. That's it. I was so turned off, I scrapped my $20 for $200 worth of services deal, and bought my attic fan cover at Home Depot rather than get it through them. Just wanted to end the experience. Got another company to come who did the real deal, provided bulbs, sealed cracks in the basement, outlets, etc, and saw substantial energy savings from that effort. The other company also gave us rebate info for follow on products/services (surprise- no attic insulation recommended), and didn't try to sell us anything else- just let us know our options in general.

Since the provider had not contacted me, I did give him a call. He was very polite but indicated that he no longer serviced the Rhode Island area. He indicated the person that had been doing Rhode Island was not up to his standards. He also indicated he could do Rhode Island but, there would be an extra service charge. I did not talk to him about the service what exactly he would do and got the impression that he really did not do an audit as indicted in the big deal offer but rather just recommend reflective insulation. He also indicated that Angie's List had changed there format in how they sent information and he could no longer find the information on how to contact people when they buy one of these big deals. But he did seem to know there were would of them because he asked me which one. I do wonder if he just did not like it because, I took the cheaper offer. He indicated there would be an additional $69 service charge for my area. I decided that this was not a good fit for me and that the offer was not what it had appeared to be. He was concerned that I'd write a back review about him.

Did an energy audit, found areas to add and improve insulation at home. Didn't end up using their services.

Fantastic. Well worth the time and money. I was very pleased with the suggestions and impressed with the estimates for improvements, all of which were fair and reasonable.

Bill and his installer, Dean. did a great job. They were very professional, prompt, and cleaned up everything very well. I am very pleased with their product and workmanship.

They want to charge me a 15.00 travel charge??? They lost our trust, this was never mentioned in the big deal, it did say they service all Ct.
