He did arrive late, because he got hung up at the previous appointment. However, he did call to notify us that he would be late.

I called Ray's Appliance Repair and with-in an hour Scott arrived at my home.When I discribed the problem he determined it might be the door lock mechanism which he happened to have a replacement part. It turned out the main control board was the problem. He discribed the different options I had giving me the opportunity to make an informed decision. He ordered the part. As soon as he received the part I was notified and Scott was able to install the part with-in a day.I found Scott to be prompt and extremely professional.

The $80.00 was for service fee to come out but he explained that replacing the snubber (located at the bottom of the tub) would cost us approx. $250.00 and we only paid $300.00 for the washer 8 years ago. He gave us advice on what to buy new and what to look for and what to check he also offered to check for us any washer we planned on getting by us just calling him and giving him the serial number and he would look up the pros and cons on that washer. He was great at talking it all over with us and being honest on just how much longer an 8 year old washer would last without yet another problem like our pump was starting to make noise too and that would be next to go down the road. I would recommend him to anyone as he is not pushing you to fix anything that he does not feel would last much longer anyway.

Repair person was extremely polite, neat, non intrusive (I work from my home). He repaired the machine and vacummed the lint from the laundry room floor. The perfect service call!

Repairman answered right away. I explained the problem and what I'd done so far. He was very honest and said it is not worth repairing...spent several minutes telling me what to look for in my next dishwasher. I very much appreciated his honesty and guidance. I will definitely call again if any repairs are needed and would highly recommend them!

I thought they were great. Scott called me back right away and was right on time. He told me in advance what the costs would be.

I described the problem (it pumped water out but did not move it around in the machine to clean) and the work that I had done taking the dishwasher apart - finding broken glass, putting it back together and it running a single cycle then it happening again. He said he thought that he knew what it was and came out a few days later. He took it apart as far as I had been able to and pronounced that I needed a new dishwasher. He said that he would look up the cost of a new motor assembly and call me back with the price in 2 days but never did so. I should have called Sears since they might have carried the motor assembly for the Kenmore dishwasher and fixed it. His price was OK - $100 with Angie's discount for 30 minutes of work. Only wish that he had called me back.

They came within 24hrs of the call. It went very well, I was still the guy who came out still had to charge the price for working on the dishwasher and was very apologetic for that but I was not complaining, I was just very happy to have it fixed.

Just fine. No problems and would use this company again. I have their magnet on my fridge now.

I called for the repair and left a message. I received a call back within a half an hour. The repair man came the same day. I had him call me 15 minutes before his expected arrival time so I would be there to meet him. (I was at work) He called and I went to the house. He arrived within 5 minutes of my arrival. He was very professional and I would recommend this company highly. If I am in need of repairs in the future I would not hesitate to call them.

Scott responded promptly to my call about a leaking disposal and made an appointment for the following day. He warned me on the phone that the disposal might have to be replaced, but that he would be prepared to do that. Sure enough he had to replace the disposal, but also identified two more leaks under the sink and advised me to call a plumber for those. Scott comes when he says he's going to come, is competent, friendly, honest and wasn't at all bothered by our black lab who jumped on him and kissed him like crazy.

I would definitely and use this company again. Rays was very professional.

Ray returned my call within an hour. My dryer was heating up but not drying clothes. He came out the same day within the timeframe he said he would, fixed everything perfectly and charged reasonably. Definitely a great experience - use him!

I am a new subscriber to Angie's List and this is the first time I selected a company based on the list and the reviews. I could not be happier. I called this morning and they were here this afternoon to fix my refrigerator. I had tried Sears before, and they couldn't schedule an appt. for about a week. Scott was friendly, neat, professional and was able to explain the problem clearly. It simply couldn't have been easier. I am thrilled that I chose to fix my refrigerator rather than replace it at this time. I will certainly call Ray's again.

Excellent experience. They returned my initial phone call promptly and called to confirm the appointment the day before the service. Day of service they arrived on time, were both very friendly. They removed the washer and dryer from the residence I was buying them from, brought them to my place and installed them. They had to force an old hose from the faucet but took it all in stride. Obviously knew their profession -- took care to balance and test both machines. Very polite and took pride in their work. Price included pick-up, delivery and installation.

They were excellent and we got them through Angie’s List. They were on time, were reasonable and did the job in a timely manner. It was well executed and they were easy to deal with. They were nice guys and did the work that was needed. It was a real good experience.

Ray's is a fantastic company. Even though they are small, they managed to get back to me quickly and come out to fix our washing machine the very next day after we called. They arrived on time, explained the work that was being done, how we could prevent a recurrence of the problem, whether it was worthwhile to purchase a warranty for the appliance and other information pertinent to the proper maintenance of the product. The work was done thoroughly and quickly and with minimal interference in our daily regimen. The price was more than fair and, at the end of the job, they gave us a magnet with their phone number and other contact information, which we keep displayed prominently on our refrigerator. We will definitely be using Ray's again for all our appliance repair needs.

They were excellent from beginning to end. They gave a great estimate and came out quickly (the next day, I think). The guy who came said he was pretty sure the fix would take care of the problem, but there might be one other problem as well. He told me what to watch for just in case and if it happened to call back within a month and they would only charge half price to fix it. He didn’t want to do it then in case that wasn’t the problem. I thought that was very fair of him. I was very very happy with this company and I have had no further problems

Scott returned my call and came the same day to fix our refrigerator. He replaced a part, and offered to return at no charge, if we still had a problem.

Call was returned promptly and appointment set. On day of appointment, serviceman called to ask if he could come earlier than planned. Work was done quickly and explained thoroughly. Price was given before the work was done. The serviceman cleaned up after himself. I was very satisfied overall.

Scott was friendly & helpful. We scheduled his visit for as soon as possible (next day). He arrived on time, diagnosed & replaced a relay & overload on our freezer that was water damaged due to water in the cellar from the heavy rains. We thought we'd need a new freezer but his expertise saved us a bundle.

Refridgerator was periodically leaking water on the floor. After some research, I came to the conclusion that the evaporator drainage tube for the defroster was plugged. Too complicated for me to fix. Found Ray's Appliance Repair on Angie's List with excellent reviews. Scott (he said he was Ray's son) from Ray's Appliance called and we made an appointment for the next day. I had removed all the food from the freezer befroe the appointment. He was very courteous and prompt. He took the freezer apart and found that I was right. Fixed it quickly and put it back together. While he had it apart, he showed me where it was starting to develop rust on an intereior wall which he said is very premature for a three year old fridge. Scott also showed me where the filter for the closed system refridgerant was starting to corrode and explained to me that if the fridge stopped cooling it would be becaue the coolant had leaked out at this point. Told me that it should be covered under warrantee. I was very happy with his service and his attitude. The fridge is not leaking anymore.

Was a quick fix that he felt would do the trick and it did.
