Centennial Vacuum

We have a Queens Filter vacuum. I called and asked if they can work on them. They said yes. What they DIDN'T say is that they are not authorized to work on them. We have a lifetime warranty on this vacuum (which we only found out about from them AFTER they put in a refurbished motor and charged us $250). This is the most crooked business I have ever encountered.

I took my Kitchenaid Artisan mixer in for a tuneup that was suggested by their technician. My mixer was working fine - I used it almost everyday. They charged me $65.00 for a diagnostic fee ( I just wanted to get it tuned up- routine maintenance.). When I called back the customer service man told me it would be an additional $154.40. After a lengthy discussion, he gave me a 15% discount. Even though I still thought this was very excessive, I agreed to the service. I had to call back again because they never called me to say it was ready. I then spoke to Colleen. She told me that it was making a loud noise and that the technician said that there was a broken screw that damaged the motor. She then said that it would be too costly to fix it but she could offer me a refurbished one for over $300.00 plus the $65.00 that I had already paid. I then told her that I could buy a new one for $280.00 or less. I asked if it was working the same as when I brought it in except for the loud noise and she said yes. I told her I would just come pick it up. When I got there Colleen said that she couldn't charge me the $120 or so. I accepted that because I thought their charges were extremely high. When I got home and tried it out, I discovered that it in fact, did NOT work hardly at all. Low gear barely turned and the speed did not increase past 3 or 4. There are 10 speeds on that mixer. I called and left a message on their answering machine because ther were closed. I called back the next day (no one returned my call). After a lengthy discussion with Colleen, I asked to speak to the owner because she said she was not authorized to make the decision to replace my mixer. I then spoke to Cal. He was extremely rude and would not evev let me speak. He hung up on me, and I called back. However, Cal kept answering the phone and kept hanging up on me. These people owe me a new mixer. Actually, Colleen and the man customer service person were very nice and understood how I felt. Cal however, is the ruddest man I have ever spoken too and does not know how to treat paying customers. He deserves to be out of business.

We took the typewriter in and asked if it was worth the money to have that old of a typewriter repaired. They said yes. However, it took them several weeks to complete the work and it still isn't working correctly. They also tried to force us into buying more ink cartridges for it than we would ever possible use. I'm not sure this is the most reputable company.
