I called A&K Appliance and they took all my information over the phone. A&K went over troubleshooting items over
the phone. After no resolution, I asked for them to come out and bring a replacement if needed. A&K told me up front that the service charge was $95.00, but they would bring a unit with them in case I needed to replace my garbage disposer.
Chris came out to troubleshoot. He did pretty much what I had already done over the phone by testing the re-set and checking if the unit would still manually turn. He pulled the power cord from the wall and found blockage by putting his hand into the unit and cleared it out. After the blockage was clear, Chris plugged the power cord back in, ran the water and unit for several minutes to make sure the issue was resolved.
Chris was very polite and informative. A&K let me know in advance what the service charge would be. I am happy that I didn't need a new unit and that A&K was open and honest up front.
If I need help in the future, I will definitely be using A&K.

A&K was prompt and professional. Had to order the heating element but gave a quote in advance and all went as promised. Also replaced the gasket in my front-loading washer at my request. Everything went smoothly and we're back to doing lots of laundry every day!

I called A&K appliance on Friday May 6th, 2011 and they responded professionally. After scheduling my appointment for Monday, May 9th, 2011, a manager talked to me about my model numbers and problems. He said they would do research on my units and be ready for the appointment. Monday morning (5/9/11) they called my cell and verified the appointment. The repair technician Sean arrived right on time and was able to diagnose my refrigerator settings and vent problems within 10 minutes. He then was able to fix my ice maker problem in 15 with a new valve in the basement. He took time to explain how to make sure my settings were right and the maintenance I need to perform each month and year. He then fixed my washer lock problem in another 15 minutes having the parts ready when he had arrived. After repairs were done, he talked to me about the second washer part that was broken. I had him order the part and he had me rescheduled for a followup visit on Thursday May 12th to finish the washer repair. The tech me NO upfront payment until all the work was complete. Sean was great! Great payment policies and great professionalism.

This is a machine in a rental unit, so it does take abuse. Although it was a 2+ weeks from pick up to returning a machine that works like new, A&K was good to work with and gave me a break on the repair.

I called A & K Appliance after I found them on Angie's List. The call was answered promptly and the gentleman who answered gathered some information from me so the repair person would have the right parts with him and then scheduled my appointment for the next day. He said I would be called between 8 - 8:15 am on the day of service and the repair man would give me the 2 hour window of service. Kevin called me at 8:25am and said he would be at my house between noon and 2pm. He arrived at 12:30pm and quickly assessed the problem. He told me the cost of the repair, got my OK, and then completed the work satisfactorly. He was pleasant, professional and efficient.

I have a very old dryer and at first I thought they weren't going to be able to fix it. He had the part with him and got it working in about a half an hour. He was a very friendly guy.
