We used TD Real Estate property management in Fort Collins, Co. The company was just awful! The accounting was awful, the response time was awful and it took multiple requests to get a response. The contractors they hired to do work on the house did a lousy job and allowed the roof to leak. They did not inspect the property or confirm that the tenants were cutting the grass and doing the maintenance they were required to do. They charged us for cleaning and re-keying when tenants left despite it being the tenants obligation and they charged the tenant! Sounds like double dipping to me. The house was dirty after the tenants left and TD Real Estate had inspected the property. Low standards and lousy service, really bad combination. TD Real Estate property management did not manage, they collected and re-distributed checks and were very irresponsible in meeting their management obligation. I gave them multiple opportunities to be responsive and professional and I would never....ever use them again.

The time I lived there everything seemed mostly fine the first place I lived but then they never gave notice when they went in towards the end. When I moved to the new place it was convenient and all but they decided they wanted to raise rent or something so they filed an unlawful detainer claiming I never paid rent however they required me to give them my account information in the lease to do an ACH autowithdrawl which, I found out, they never even attempted then they never gave me a notice but said they did on the paper. Then I wasn't served until three days before the hearing date so I just left I refuse to deal with anyone who is so vile they will perjur themselves to kick someone out.

During the time I rented they were very good about doing repairs. However when I vacated they were horrible. I cleaned the entire house, had the carpets clean and left the place in better condition than when i moved in. I had done a lot of planting and yard work outside that was nonexistent before. They ended up keeping my entire deposit. They said it was for cleaning (10 hours in a small house??). They recleaned carpets, did repairs on things that were there before i moved in and many more miscellaneous items. I don't know how i could have left that house cleaner. When I tried to take them to small claims court, they hired an attorney which I thought was unnecessary and unprofessional. That is not what small claims court is for. I had the worst experience and lost my entire security deposit and they tried to collect above and beyond that as well. I ended up dropping the small claims case because i was told the landlord would probably win and then i would have to pay their attorney's fees.
Description of Work: I rented a home from them for about 1-1/2 years.

The first year that my daughter rented from them went okay. Then, when the three young ladies that were renting were up to resign for their contracts, when the third roommate went to the office to sign the contract, they did not have a contract there for her to sign. They told her that it was lost. They never followed up with anyone about this situation, and when the third roommate left in the middle of the night, the two other roommates were responsible for a three bedroom house because the other tenant did not sign any contract. They rented this house for two whole years. In the meantime, they graduated and got fulltime jobs. They knew that the 30th would be their last day, and that they would clean up this weekend. They were then told that they had to be out by noon on the 29th. They would not give them an extra day to move out. They put their greed before any compassion or understanding for their tenants.
Description of Work: They have properties that they lease out to college students. They are around the Colorado St. University campus. They are mainly a management company.
