Description of Work: They were the property manager for a property that my girlfriend and I rented for a year in Durango. They were so completely unresponsive and unprofessional that I would never deal with them again, even if it was for a *wonderful* rental, even if that wonderful rental was at some crazy discount. I am also a property owner and work with a property manager regularly, I have never, ever experienced such a complete and utter lack of regard for both the renter and the owner as I did with this outfit. I am not disgruntled because I was looking for a bargain or something, nor am I a college student. I am a professional in my 40's who has enough experience in life to know what to expect when dealing with property managers - the fact that this outfit has adopted the title "The Property Manager" is ironic beyond description. If you do decide to deal with them I would highly recommend that you fastidiously maintain copies of *all* documentation regarding the rental regardless of whether you are an owner or a renter. To say that I would not recommend them is an understatement. | |

This agency is the absolute worst in Durango. Their properties are "as is" (as I'm sure lots of rentals are) but what that means is they do not invest time and money into fixing/improving things, even when they are hazardous. For example- I lived in a location that had electrical wires hanging down and touching/almost grown into a tree. They refused to do anything about it. Anything I fixed or hired someone (my own plumber when it was a weekend and would have caused extensive damage if left to wait for their calllback), painted, or replaced items that came with the house they refused to reimburse. They simply wait for something to break or fall apart before they improve or put any money into the property. They will leave things in the unit that don't work (stove burners/water heater/cracked sink that leaks visibly/missing drawers in the cabinets) in the hopes no one will call to have them fixed. When I did call them, I had to call 5 times to get someone over to fix anything. Also, TPM makes you sign an agreement when you move in that you'll have to have the carpet professionally cleaned (not even a do-it-yourself machine- a service) and prove it with a receipt- regardless of how clean the carpet is already-out of your own pocket. Bottom line- they have no respect for tenants or the properties and are just out to make an easy buck. Look absolutely everywhere else before you rent from these people
