The price was very competitive. The quality is phenomenal. They did such a good job, they are fast. They did a wonderful job.

They did a great job. They installed a really nice fence for us and we are very happy with it. They met all expectations. We would definitely use them again.

My husband hired Standard Fence Company to build our fence after gathering several quotes from local builders. While Standard did not come in the lowest, my husband was confident in their reputation and was impressed by how long they had been around. Plus, they had some better solutions than the other companies for a couple problem areas in our yard, and proceeded to call them to set up the work. However, we should have seen the red flags then, as we spent several phone calls over the course of a couple weeks trying to get them to return our messages and set up a time to begin. Finally, they set a date, telling us that they
would take a day to tear out our old fences and set the posts, and then after they had set in the concrete a couple days, they'd come back and finish.
The crew came on a Monday, as scheduled, and tore most of the old fence and set the posts. ... And then, they never came back. A week and a half later (and several more unreturned phone calls), and we still only had posts in our yard, set on a very busy street, with a dog. We were expecting guests and then heading out of town, and had hoped to have had the fence done by that point, but were completely helpless and inconvenienced. We finally spoke with the president of the company, who made no apologies but said that the crew would be back out on Wednesday. This forced us to delay our trip out of town, only to have the work still not be finished by the end of that day. We left for our trip anyway, hoping that the crew would be back to finish the job while we were gone. That Thursday, we were invoiced for payment (funny how they are at least quick to invoice!). My husband expressed his dissatisfaction and refused to pay until the job was finished. They assured us that someone would be out to the house to finish up, but when we returned home for our trip (now, over 2 weeks since the beginning of the work), the unfinished parts were still there. Finally, after more phone calls to the company and another couple days later, someone came out and finished the job, although there are still random pieces of the old fence left over and the problem areas were not treated as were initially described to us by the salesperson (and which had originally sold my husband on Standard Fence Company). The fence looks nice from afar and is a big step up from what we had, but has a lot of splintered edges and unevenness, and one of the latches on the gates is already getting stuck. At this point, we truly regret going through Standard Fence Company for the work. I'm sure there are other companies who care at least a little more about people who are spending thousands of dollars with them, and follow through with their promises.

Bob came out to our home to provide an estimate for fencing in the remainder of our backyard. Bob said he would email an estimate the next day. He never did. After calling Standard Fence numerous times Bob finally sent us an estimate. Although we received a lower estimate from another company, we decided to go with Standard because Bob said Standard would build a fence that matched some fencing we had on our deck in the backyard (a shadow box style fence), and we thought that would look nice.
When I arrived home from work the day the fence was supposed to be finished, I came home to an completely different style of fence -- the cheaper, less pleasant looking castlewall style. What's more, the individuals who built the fence did not clean up after themselves, leaving cigarette butts and trash on our driveway.
Standard Fence still charged us for the more expensive shadow box fence. When we brought this to our attention it took them awhile to get back to us, and when they did they only offered $50.00 of the original price.
This is not an honest, responsive company, and they do not honor their contractual obligations. DO NOT hire Standard Fence!

Overall experience was great. The estimator came out and listened to my needs and budget and told me what must be done versus what I could do later. He even wrote up two estimates for me. The first crew was fast, prepared, and polite. And the finisher did an excellent job giving me a nice looking fence that would keep my dogs safe. The only complaint I have was that the finisher left broken pickets, post tops, and zip ties all over my and my neighbor's yards. I thought that was unprofessional. But when he came back to fix my gate to my specifications, I noticed that he spent extra time cleaning up - so someone somewhere listened. I will use them again when my other fence falls down.

An older gentleman came out to give me a quote - he was very knowledgeable and friendly and seemed to really understand fencing (I had a more complicated situation where I would be splitting a portion of the fence with my neighbor - redoing the old fence we had between us - but then needed some new items and also I wanted to use a new section of fence that I had to have removed recently - he didn't skip a beat with all of this). I think he gave me my quote later that day - but it could have been the next day. It was very detailed - exactly what we had discussed. The only somewhat confusing part of the process was when I went to give my deposit and signed quote...the address on the paperwork is a residence and no one was home when I went - which made me a little nervous to leave a check in the mailbox. But...I called the number on the paperwork to be sure I had the right place - and Marco answered and said yes, it was fine to leave the check. From then on out, I dealt with Marco who came to do the work with one other gentleman. They were both so great - very hard working - very kind - and they even did some extra stuff for me without charge (helped me to move some landscaping rock to another bed, etc. ). I liked them so much that I hired them to do another fence and a railing for me at one of my rental properties - and they even stained that fence for me for super cheap! Marco and his team are wonderful and are worth every penny. Very reliable - very friendly - and great quality in their work!

The guys that came out were great. They took good care to avoid the sprinklers, didn't jack up my landscaping and cleaned up afterwards. The fence looked great and you can't even see the welded wire unless you're right up on it. There are many fly by night fence companies in Denver, but I'm glad I paid a little more for an established and professional company.

Work completed with in acceptable amount of time staff was very friendly and helpful. Fence looks good, was some miscommunication regarding stain but was taken care of with no problems. {Price also included all permits).
