On one of the hottest days of the year, Rabbit came out (late) to check our AC which was not blowing cold air. 40 minutes later (20 of which they used our hose to spray the cottonwood out of the unit for "free") we were charged $600 to change the AC capacitor. After researching online and calling other local repair companies, we believe in our opinion we were overcharged by over $350. Company was not helpful or easy to work with when asking for a partial refund. Shop prices before settling on this company.

Our house is warm and toasty so it went very well. They had originally installed the furnace as well. I was incredibly happy that they were able to fix it so quickly. When compared with another company out here to come fix it on the weekend, their price was good, too.
Description of Work: Came out on a Saturday and replaced the blower motor and wheel on our furnace when it broke down in sub zero temps.

In the local Brighton advertising flyer, I saw a $60.00 coupon for a furnace cleaning and tune up. I scheduled a repairman to come out but when asked if he would replace the filter, (which slides into a slot in the furnace) I was told they don?t do that. I think ?REALLY???? I schedule the appointment anyway. I am suspicious of a repairman who comes to do an annual maintenance/cleaning visit and immediately recommends replacing the furnace ASAP. So I got a second opinion. Here are the two experiences for comparison: Rabbit Heating Armed with only a flashlight and cell phone the Rabbit repairman goes down into the crawl space and inspects the furnace. After a few minutes the repairman comes back up and shows me pictures of my furnace on his cell phone. He pointed out the rust marks on the furnace which means the heat exchange is cracked and is leaking carbon monoxide. Since I know carbon monoxide is odorless and colorless, I asked him how he could detect carbon monoxide leaks; he said he got woozy again I think...?YIKES?. I had replaced the heat exchange in 1994 and knew the marks were from that previous heat exchange. BUT, it was possible it could need replacing again so I didn?t challenge the repairman on this issue. I was seated at my computer so he asked me to pull up their website so he could show me the deals they have on furnaces. He recommended taking advantage of their current low specials on 80% rated furnaces before the new code goes into effect in March or April (He didn?t remember when), Otherwise I would have to pay a much higher price for a furnace with a rating of 93% and above. I recognize scare tactics when I hear them. The only thing I can recommend for this repairman is that he didn?t charge me for the visit. Second Opinion. Another repairman recommended by my old repair company (they don?t work on furnaces anymore) came out to inspect and clean my furnace. I spoke with the repairman and told him of the previous repairman?s report and wanted him to pay special attention to those areas. The repairman placed a carbon monoxide meter on a heat vent. Then he went down into the crawl space to inspect the furnace. He reported that he did not find any cracks in the heat exchange and other than being slightly dirty; it seemed to be ingood operating order. He cleaned the furnace, and read the meter on the heating vent. The meter showed no signs of carbon monoxide. Here are the two reports from each of the paper invoices given to me First opinion - Rabbit: Found rusted stains/traces of CO. Advised customer did not service and recommended replacing ASAP?. No charge Second opinion - JM Heating & Air ?Used CO detector and showed zero. Cleaned blower wheel and vacuumed dirt and dust from unit. No flame sensor since pilot. Educated customer?. Total charge 75.00 You decide who you want to work on your finance.....

They are very good. The price was very good, knowledgeable, timely and professional. I had to find them again because they changed their name to Rabbit.
Description of Work: I had a new furnace put in last year and an air conditioner about 4 years before that.
