Working with Dennis/Aspen Radon was a great experience. Our house had very high radon levels and unfortunately a pretty complicated layout: huge crawlspace, small basement with concrete slab and an unsealed pit for a sump pump – you name it. Dennis came up with a comprehensive mitigation plan at very reasonable cost and it had fantastic results. Radon levels are now barely measurable. The installation process was very professional, great communications and a very friendly crew. Highly recommended!!!

We couldn't be more pleased.  Aspen's price was right in line with two other estimates we received, but Dennis was the only one of the three to actually visit the house and size-up the job before providing his price.  During the visit, he identified an important issue the other firms didn't; an issue that required a modification to the mitigation approach most commonly used.  As I knew nothing about radon mitigation and the issue he identified, I contacted both the EPA and a national university that has radon experts on staff.  Both agreed the issue he identified was not to be taken lightly, the issue called for an alternate approach, and they both agreed with the approach he outlined.
Dennis is detail oriented and committed to doing the right thing the right way.  Every aspect of the installation was neatly and carefully done, and the job was first-rate.  Dennis' attitude seems to be "do it the right way or don't do it at all."

Dennis at Aspen is very responsive and customer oriented, quoted the job same day as the initial call. Scheduled a time, showed up on time and completed the work in the time frame quoted. The radon system works very well, done right the first time and showed us how to perform the follow up testing of radon in our home.

The provider was quick to respond to my request and installed it within a week. The radon was not totally mitigated initially so the provider place a larger fan to improve effectiveness.

My house is challenging for radon mitigation because there is no perimeter drain to tap into and pull off radon. Dennis spent a great deal of time evaluating the situation and offering possible solutions. He was completely honest and frank throughout the process in explaining how much improvement was likely to occur. When we made a decision on how to proceed the installation was professional and the process efficient. They ran into complications feeding the ductwork through closet ceilings but found a way to get the job done without an unsightly mess. The system is in and working now. Although we can't completely reduce radon levels here without a great deal of excavation I feel confident that this significantly improves my air quality without major disruption. Dennis was willing to explain what we could do but not be pushy when I didn't choose to pursue radon reduction any further.

He promptly responded to the initial phone call and came to the home in a timely manner to determine the best place to install the system. He provided a reasonable estimate for the least expensive system and returned in a timely manner to install the system personally with the help of his assistant. Result of the followup test kit indicated that the number, although significantly reduced, was still too high. He returned to have a licensed electrician install a more powerful fan and charged a reasonable fee for that. The result of the followup test kit indicated that the number was below 4 pCi/L. He recommended testing again in winter to see if I might want more work to make the number lower. He explained in detail, based on his 30-years experience, how each structure is different.

He came and gave us an estimate. We had a couple of estimates. He discussed with us what will be the least expensive way to fix the problem at first. He gave us an estimate both for fixing it that way and if that didn't work well then he should leave to do a more complete job. He was trying to find us the least expensive and simplest method of doing it. We did the follow up testing and he came back out after the follow up testing. It had dropped significantly but not quite enough so he did one other project to feel the sump pump and attic fan. That did the trick and we did a follow up radon testing and the numbers were down to perfect. Now he's just doing contact with us once year to check if everything's going fine.
