I think many purveyors are gaming the system. In this case the first call promised as a check-up for some $60. Sure enough the unit needed cleaning and I was quoted some $400 but if I agreed to some $250 for a year-long agreement the total would be $250. The point is that I did not have an accurate quote in the first place. If they want to sell me an annual agreement of some kind, fine then quote it and let me make comparisons. If the cost is $400 without the agreement, then quote it and let me make comparisons. The way it is done now, there is no way to really compare prices or quality. Plus, if I wanted a long-term agreement in the first place I would have checked out the company more thoroughly, so for example I would know if they would even be around a year from now. THE SYSTEM IS BEING GAMED! They did a fine job and I suspect the price was OK, but I really dont know. I never had the needed information.

Way overpriced $360 to replace a belt on a dryer

I hired them for their $69 tune up for my AC, I was expecting a clean up, change filters, etc... But they did not do anything to tune it up. Only got quotes for new parts.

Showed up on time, very professional and got the job done. I had been told by another company that my washer could not be fixed.

Very disappointed. Had to wait 3 days for a part. Repairman was 4 hours late probably due to poor management. Wrong part came. Have to wait another 5 days. Unwilling to compensate.

Terrible scheduling, customer service, and technician knowledge. They have been back to my house 3 times trying to repair my fridge. They have cancelled on us twice, and been late 3 other times. We waited 8 hours for the repair tech yesterday, and when I called to see what was going on, she informed me they wouldnt be coming out and we would have to reschedule. We have wasted food, money and time with this awful company. Do not use them!

I was very pleased with the service that Action appliance provided. We had the dryer vent cleaned but also need a new heating element that they ordered and installed for me.

Warning do not hire this company. They do not arrive when scheduled. They do not carry the parts needed to do the repair which requires another visit. I paid $400.00 to have my oven repaired and surprise surprise it still does not work. Also they do not communicate. I had to call every day for a week before I was able to make another appointment for them to come out and do a repair on the first repair. I thought Home advisor vetted their companies. I do not know how this company made it on the list.

Originally came to fix our dishwasher, but the part was worth more than the dishwasher was. Inspected our garbage disposal and replaced that on the same trip for a reasonable cost.

The tech cleaned the dryer vent efficiently and effectively, but he was a day late arriving.

Roman showed up on time, at a the very start of the four-hour window. He started to work on my dryer right away. He analyzed and found the problem, then wrote an estimate. Almost $350 to repair. I can get a new dryer for another $138 (Maytag on sale at a famous store). Told Roman, no thanks. Roman was very nice and professional. I d give him a 5.

Customer was contacted by home advisor Professionals, awaiting appointment times and quotes. he did not do any work scheduled to come between 10-2 called professional at 2:30 pm, "he has been detained" he will come by 6 pm, he showed up between 7-7:30 pm he fixed thermastat unscrwed all bolts, never put them back in, never found the bolts, he had to replace them with his own money quoted 1500 to move compressor he charged $284.00 customer moved compressor himself customer will not use home advisor again

I hired this company because they said that they could come the next day (6/8/2019) to fix our A/C. They missed the first 4hr window with no phone call. Came 40 min. later. Assessed the problem and gave the solution with an estimate. However, the serviceman was not prepared with the tools and materials to do the work. He asked for a deposit and set the next available date, 6/10/2019 from 12noon - 4 pm to do the work. He did not show up and again no call to explain why. I called the company and was treated rudely without giving me a reason for the missed appt. The girl hung up on me! I received a call from another woman who claimed to be the office manager asking if I wanted to reschedule for another time. Mind you I had already paid a deposit which amounted to half of the agreed upon price for the work to be done on a date and time certain. l asked to speak with her boss and she would not allow me to do so nor would she tell me who her boss was. I told her that under these I did not wish to do business with them and requested my deposit back. She proceeded to tell me that if I canceled this work order I would be charged a 25 % cancellation fee. I read the language of the work order which stated that the work was contracted for a specific date and time without further notation for further dates to be scheduled. As such, it was their company that broke the agreement and I would not be paying a cancellation fee under those circumstances. I also told her that I would cancel the deposit charge and would dispute any other charges that they may try to charge me with. She hung up on me as I was still speaking!! I called my credit card company about this problem and found out that they had charged my credit card for the full amount of the job that morning before the scheduled arrival of the repairman! I had not authorized that charge and my credit card representative told me that that amounted to credit card fraud. The credit card company instituted a dispute case against that company for the fraud as well as the fact that no work was done. HomeAdvisor would do well to remove this company from their list of recommended companies who perform A/C repair.

Roland did such a job, I want his boss to know!! He walked me through all the processes and through the mechanics of it.

The tech came out and was polite enough, didn't speak English too well. He opened the bottom door to the freezer, pulled out his thermo gun and took two separate readings. Pull the refrigerator/freezer away from the wall, removed the back plate and took another temp reading and told me the compressor was bad. put the cover back on, charged me $55.00 and left.

DIDNT COME ON TIME BUT WAS HAPPY WITH THE JOB!!!!
