We have been in business for over 27 years and are Nastec and NATE certified. We do over 20,000 service calls per year and about 50% of those are from repeat and referral business. A couple of reasons for that are: we GET OUT the SAME DAY and we have our own training facility where our techs are kept up to date on all the industry changes and not necessarily on your equipment. A young man named Himan or Hyman came and I thought the frig had a valve that wasn't working properly to the water dispenser. Come to find out, my GE was made by Samsung, and the line that drains from the defrost had a gap in it and was getting plugged up. That was causing the line to freeze up and ice was forming in the back of the frig and under the vegetable bins. That in turn was causing the frig to run more in order to keep the temp down, and that in turn was making everything freeze up. The lines to the ice maker and the dispenser were frozen. He did a great job of fixing the problem, but it took a while to thaw everything that had ice in it. Hopefully it won't reoccur. He was a joy to have in my home! The only thing that I would have liked was the cost of the repair to be broken down. The charge was $358.62.

In our opinion they were way over priced for the parts and labor that they charged us. They did not fix the problem with the appliance. Over a three-day period we scheduled multiple 4 hour windows for their tech. To come back. Kept being told that they were running late, so we wasted our time waiting for them. Finally, had enough and bought new appliance (for less than the repair bill). Would not recommend them.

They extorted me. They would not repair the theromocuplar unless I bought a new furnace. Then they said I had to replace the air conditioner with the furnace. Then they wanted full payment. I only gave them 50%. The extorted me to buy a furnace from them to do the repair. They lied that I needed to replace the air conditioner, which I did not. I was under duress because it was 10 degrees outside, so the house was freezing. I tried to cancel and they demand 25$ cancellation fee. These practices are unethical and probably illegal John L. C.

They came out to provide an estimate on my 17 yo Kenmore washer with a minor water drip into the drum and quoted me almost $300 to replace a small water valve. Really? I can but a whole new washer for less than that and it would be much newer. I feel cheated!

They were very prompt and came as soon as we called. Spent about 2 minutes diagnosing the problem with our Samsung clothes washer. He told us he could fix it -- no problem -- but it would cost almost $600 for parts and labor. We paid for the parts and he came back a week later and installed them. Washer behaved exactly as before. The tech came back, and again didn't watch the machine in order to properly diagnose it. He just said it needed a new clutch -- no charge. Returned a week later and installed the new clutch. Again, machine behaved exactly as before. Same tech returned and installed some different part -- again no charge. The machine worked properly for about 6 loads, then started doing the exact same thing it was doing before. This time we took a video and showed it to the tech. He said some stabilizers might help, but it would be an additional $120. Sorry. After seven visits, seven weeks, and nearly $600 we've lost all confidence in Action Appliance;s ability to repair our Samsung washer. We're going shopping for a new washer tonight. NOT buying a Samsung. If I could give action appliance less than 1/2 star, I would. We gave them a bunch of money, got some new parts we didn't need, and received absolutely NO VALUE. WE FEEL COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF! THEY MADE MY WIFE CRY! And of course, there is apparently no provision in their business model for refunding our money. I'm bitter about it.

The technician was excellent -- amiable, knew what he was doing, and was helpful. But the main office is poor in handling/making appointments. It took three and two days until some one showed up. I am recommending them because of he good mechanic, not because of their administrative structure.

Buyer Beware, shop your quotes and beware of trip charge upsell reported to action appliance management that the tech said thermostat part was not available for repair of heater (stelPro) and found the thermostat online with the manufacturer for $34.38. tech quoted $600 to replace heater for parts and labor and found the replacement heater online for $350. action management said they stood behind the tech and would evaluate the misrepresentation of the tech. quotes are advertised by Action Appliance as 90 day window and tech said I would not the trip credit the trip charge unless I made a decision at the time of the quote. I confronted him that was not the company policy and he back -peddled. resolution case has been filed with HomeAdvisor.
