We have been in business for over 27 years and are Nastec and NATE certified. We do over 20,000 service calls per year and about 50% of those are from repeat and referral business. A couple of reasons for that are: we GET OUT the SAME DAY and we have our own training facility where our techs are kept up to date on all the industry changes and not necessarily on your equipment. We are master plumbers, master electricians, and an HVAC company so if you have any needs in these areas let us know.
My AC was not working. He came to the house went directly to the unit came and told me it would be about 2000 to fix. I asked him to come in and look at the furnace he wasn t even going to do that. The problem was my furnace the fan went out so then he told me it would be about 9000 to get a whole new furnace and AC. Horrible all I need is a fan which is an AC HVAC person told me it s $150. It was very unprofessional.

My refrigerator stopped running, the freezer is ok. I called Action Appliance and they sent a service person to repair the same day. Kelly opened up all the panels and quoted me $750 for a evaporator fan assembly and a shoestring heater. I wanted to pay after the service was completed, he had to collect money on the parts. I was surprise he ran my card for the entire amount, parts and labor with a next day appointment to do the work. Kelly was there for about 30 minutes for this service call. During the inspection of the evaporator assembly Ice had dislodged from the fan and the refrigerator slowly started working again after he left. I decided to just cancel the service for now. I discovered on the receipt emailed to me that in addition to the service call there is a 25% of total bill cancellation fee. I was not given the receipt in person (because of COVID) nor was I told by the service tech, so the fee was a surprise. I called to cancel anyway, the office person called me later and stated that because my refrigerator is now working they are charging me the 25% of the $750 for the cancellation, the service call and $268 in labor which did not happen. The tech only looked at the evaporated cooler, put the panels back on and made the appointment for the next day when he had parts. So now it is costing me $510.45 to cancel and I have a refrigerator that was not worked on or the $750. The office person said it was my opinion that the tech did not work on the refrigerator and was very annoyed I did want the parts replaced, She also offered 10% off the repair, However, I had to give them a good review on Home Adviser for the discount if I decided to have the parts put in. This appliance repair shop is a DISHONEST company! I should have also looked a BBB.

Professional, got things done quickly. I'll use them again. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because I often feel that the charges are exorbitant for the amount of time the repairs require. That's an unfortunate side effect of not being able to do my own work :)

Do not hire this company. They have jacked up their prices, they did not wear a mask when in my home, they requested I pay them with a check before the work was done, they showed up two hours late with no apology, once they had my check they then kept pushing out the date to come to finish the job but still cashed my check. Then when I said I was done dealing with them and I wanted my money back they said I had signed a contract and it would be 25% to get out of it. I was never told I was signing a contract, only a service order. Their customer service is horrible and when I requested to speak with a manager I was told by the snotty rep that she was a manager and that she did not know when anyone above her was going to be back to work. I still have not received a call from anyone at the company and have not received any money back.

They replaced exhaust vent switch and stripped the threading on the switch The button became loose over weeks and fell out Call them about the cover up and they said it was out if warranted by a few days. What a lie by a big company. Would do business with a company out for itself not the client. Be ware.

My ice maker went out and I called Action Appliance to come out and diagnose the problem. They promptly had a tech out within hours. The tech determined that I needed an inlet valve. The cost to order and replace the inlet valve came to $399. They did give me a 15% discount off that. I did agree to the amount and explained to the tech my concern that replacing the inlet valve would fix the problem. As I did not wish to spend any additional money if that was not going to corset the problem. He assured me that replacing the valve would fix the problem. It did not. The part was ordered and I was told that I would have a tech out on Saturday between 12-4 to replace the problem. At 4:05pm I called Action Appliance and they told me the tech was running late and it would be another 1 to 1.5 hours before he could get there. I cancelled that appointment and rescheduled for the following Monday -a 12-4pm appointment. On Monday, I was called at 4pm and was told the tech was running late and could they reschedule for the following day. On Tuesday, my appointment was scheduled for 11-3pm. I called Action at 1:30 and told them that I had a 3pm meeting that day and they were able to get the tech to my house at 2:15pm. The tech arrived and 30 minutes later i was told that I needed a new ice maker and the charge would be $200 for the part. They would not charge me for the installation. I looked on the internet and found the part for less than $100. I told the tech and he said i could order the part and that he would put it in for no charge. My concern here was when. I ordered the part and replaced it myself in 10 minutes. I would not recommend Action Appliance primarily because of their lack of Customer Service. Communication is key in the Service industry. Their failure to keep within the service window and the fact that they did not call me to inform me the tech was running late is primary reason for this two star review.
