The response from a voice mail came within minutes and I did not say it was urgent. A service tech (Bobby) was sent out immediately even though it was Saturday afternoon and he was "really nice." David/Temperature Control did the work as a second opinion and saved my parents literally $8,000. Ultimate professionals! We are very pleased and appreciate the work ethic.

Very poor customer service. I'd recommend you hire someone else.

"[Member Name Removed], I am baffled by your review. You contacted us to install a new unit for your condo, we show up on time, all agreed to receiving payment upon the installation of the system, all of sudden you do not have payment, tell us you mailed, payment, we do not receive payment for 2 weeks later, you ask us to do additional work and we said that we need payment first. For this we get a bad review for bad customer service? Given that EVERY REVIEW that you have written for others has been negative, i wont take this so personal. Geesh, Thank you so much [Member Name Removed]!"

Unfortunately the appointment had to be rescheduled when the service tech was unable to make it. However, this is the first time that this has occurred. Their techs are very friendly and willing to explain what they are doing. I have complete confidence in them and recommend the company.

The folks who come out are the best. They are on time, professional, courteous and very friendly. If I have a question, they always answer in a manner that I understand. I could not recommend them any more than I do now. They are fabulous!

I just wanted to thank Temp Control for being the best HVAC team! David and Ray are lifesavers. We don't want anyone else working on our system... ever! David came to our rescue and got us a new duct system and roof platform installed with 2 days notice, saving us from a near disaster with a contracting company that I thought we had to go with as part of a larger renovation project. Once I knew I could go with Temp Control, I didn't have any worries. I knew I was in good hands! And I'm a worrier! On a separate matter... We also had an annoying & intermittent HVAC issue for a few weeks of our unit shutting off heat late at night, then decide it wants kick back and work just as we'd be within an hour of having someone look at it. Things have to be broken to fix, right?? Well, thank God for tech Ray, who took the EXTRA EXTRA time to look at the unit while it was working fine. The shutdown problem happened for him and his techie gadget told him of a major fault issue with the unit getting too hot. To protect itself (and US) the unit shuts off to cool down, then start again when it's better. Ray investigate enough to figure that too much gas pressure was coming into the line to the furnace and making it too hot! Yikes! How could that be when it'd been fine for the past few years of it's new life? We figured it could be when our gas company changed the meters some time ago, and we think that something they did pushed too much gas pressure into the line. Regardless, Ray reduced the gas pressure and the system worked much better, or so we thought. Before he left from fixing the first issue, Ray thought it'd be a good idea to not only test the unit's start/stop from the unit, but also our thermostat inside the house. When the heat didn't turn the heat on right away from our thermostat, Ray went to test the unit again on the roof and low /behold he found the 2nd issue that was making the unit turn itself off... motherboards! And because I have Temp Control doing the bi-annual maintenance service on the maybe 3 yr old new unit, everything Ray did was under warranty!! Bless you, Ray, for being so persistent to figure out the issues. YOU ALL ROCK!!!

AWFUL! Upon completion of the tune up Chris from Temperature Control Corp informed me that my compressor was broke and wasn’t worth repairing because my unit was too old. Per Chris, most rooftop packaged units last approx 10 years. He suggested I replace the unit; $8051 for a new Carrier 4 ton 14 seer packaged unit, plus $250 to pull permits plus $250 for Title 24 duct testing, total cost $8,551. I called Airmax in Mission Hills to get a second opinion. Their licensed tech informed me that switches and compressor were disconnected, fuses and capacitor needed to be replaced. My AC now blows cold air,,,did NOT need a new packaged unit. Total cost $358. Temperature Control Corp tried to rip me off!

The original problem which I called service for was resolved prior.  The provider did a nice job of checking my heating system which he stated he usually charged for.  I had broken the plastic door on my thermostat and was told it would be $200 to replace with an inferior unit.. All I wanted was a new door.   A service contract was also pushed on me.  I refused both.  I really hate up-selling.  Without that practice, I would have been very  pleased with the service.

One of our capacitors was done and David came out and swapped it out and found that we had the wrong fuses installed and did it all really fast and very fair prices. I would highly recommend them and will certainly use them again.

Technician came out to inspect furnace and provide estimate for repair of furnace.    The technician recommended replacement of the furnace, including all duct work.    The technician provided an estimate of $6,000.00+   written completely on a Post-It note.   The technician said the fire block was cracked.    The owner phoned later and stated that we could possibly attempt to swap out the motor as a temporary solution and estimated that to be around $600. if one could be located.       I spoke with a neighbor who recommended getting a second opinion and estimate.  Another company came out and repaired the furnace for a cost of $360.   They checked the fire block and stated that the fire block was not cracked and there was no need to fully replace the furnace and ducts at this time.     I have been using the furnace without any problem since it was repaired one month ago.

I picked this provider based on reviews but my experience was "Meh".
I called because I had an electrical short in the low voltage control line of my AC unit [as indicated by the 3 amp fuse on the board was blowing out].  This unit is top of the line and installed just 6 years ago so I knew the problem had to be minor.
After being postponed twice, I finally had a technician show up 10 days after my initial call.
Even though he was supposed to show up between 3 and 5 pm, he called at 5:40 to let me know he would be there shortly.
It was a hot week so even though the delays agitated me, they weren't wholly unexpected [when it gets hot, AC guys get busy] but it did make me feel like I wasn't important to them as a new customer.
The Technician, Omar, was sharp, listen to my input, and seemed capable and knowledgeable.  He found that a control wire from the circuit board to the outside unit was shorted so he swapped it out to an unused wire on the same line and the unit fired up and blew cold air..... Hurray!
He recommended replacing the control wire should it happen again since it seemed old and possibly brittle.
Then he gave me the bill for $125.  When I told him I was quoted $79 for a diagnostic he agreed but said he performed a repair and it took him over two hours.  When I pointed out that he had only been there for one hour and 17 minutes [I timed it] and he didn't replace or repair anything just swapped wire leads after identifying the shorted line, he looked at me and shrugged.
While the overall price charged was not unreasonable, it was NOT what I was quoted or expected considering no work other than the diagnostic was performed, no materials or equipment were replaced, no quote for the cost to "repair" the problem was given, and no permission was asked for prior to performing the additional work at an additional cost.
$46 to reconnect what was effectively a loose wire seems steep to me and I would NOT have approved it had I known.
I will NOT be using this company again.  I do feel like, if I had not been knowledgeable and assertive, they would have tried to take advantage of me.  As it was, I feel they DID take advantage of me, thank goodness it was only for a few bucks.
Response from Temperature Control Corp
"[removed member name], I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with the cost of the service and felt that you may have been ripped off. To clarify on the charges.... its $75.00 to DIAGNOSE and bring a fully loaded truck to your house with a tech. We diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes that you have a short. We charged $50.00 to fix the problem. Not sure on how you feel that is not fair? Most companies charge from $80.00-$150.00 per hour of labor. We did everything we could to NOT run a new wire because of as short and were able to rewire your system to save you money. In any case, am sorry that you do not see the value of what we did for 125.00 spending 1 hour driving to your home, 1 hour to our next call and 1.50 hours working at your home. I wish that things are cheaper, but they are not these days. Our technicians are not working for 8.00 an hour."

Response from Temperature Control Corp
"[removed member name], Lets get the facts straight. You called us to use a coupon that we were offering for MAINTENANCE which is used on working hvac systems. When we arrived to your home, we noticed that you have several units, but you chose to have maintenance on just one unit? That is the first red flag of a broken unit. We have been a American Standard dealer for 26 years and know your system very well. No one likes to hear that something is wrong with their system, but these things happen. I am sorry that you feel that the maintenance coupon that you improperly used did not cover the issue-you have a broken a/c that just needs repairs. I went through your yelp reviews and found that you felt the need to give 3 other hvac company's a one star. Why would you do this if your system has been working proper? It is unfortunate that such bad and untrue reviews, as you left are able to make it to the public and I am forced to defend my good reputation, especially when I have been taking care of thousands of satisfied customers for the past 26 years. We went through the trouble to refund your money, which now I regret, we removed the refrigerant at no charge, we came the next day to do this, so what else could we have done to make you happy, and on top of that sir, I was not rude to you as you stated. I am a very happy person and never rude to anyone who is kind to me, my mother has taught me well."
