Dean and the team at Efficiency Air made the installation of a Heat Pump system (with new ducting and adding vents) extremely easy from start to finish. The pricing was exactly what was quoted and the quality of the installation was excellent. Would highly recommend Dean and the crew to anyone in need of HVAC work.

Great customer service. Very clearly explained all aspects of quote, and the process throughout the installation. All staff were friendly and polite while doing the work. Dean and team were honest what the issue was and was able to schedule the installation asap. They were the only company to explain a part of the system was newer and didnâ t need replacement. Everyone else quoted me to replace a new part even though not required. They even discovered an issue during the installation and corrected it immediately, and still kept their word when the install would be completed. So happy we chose Efficiency Air !

Wife: With all the heat wave stuff, this summer really hasnâ t been that bad for us so far. Me: Hm, maybe thatâ s because of our new air conditioning installed by Efficiency Air! After talking to many HVAC estimators, I started to feel like the amount bid went up the more they talked (something something hot air). Dean with Efficiency Air is a professional installer who was not like that. Dean listened to my needs, giving me two options. And while I was not initially in the market for a heat pump, the cost convinced me. After a few months, we could not be happier with the choice. Money well spent.

These guys are the best, from the installers to the owners. What stood out most in my experience is how much time and thought they invested in coming up with a solution for my AC system because they truly cared about designing and installing a system that would work well. Their time was spec'd as well, but I always knew I would give them the business from my first interaction with them. The installers were extremely friendly, respectful, and cleaned up after themselves. They are efficient and professional, but smart above all. Efficiency Air provided amazing service for replacing my HVAC unit and ducts and highly recommend them! I had a power surge knock out my HVAC unit on my roof in an older home (1920s) in LA County. As the unit was 10 years old, I was not aware that there was an Ultra Low NOx advisory that went into effect in 2019. Thank goodness Tim flagged this! Buyer beware -- there are HVAC installers who would put in a new unit in a flash without permits. And the HVAC unit would be out of compliance, hooked up to ducts that would be the wrong size (so warranty void) and potentially invalidate your homeowners insurance. Efficiency Air is well versed on the codes, oversees all the permitting and inspections, and designs the most efficient system to install that ensures your warranty is valid. Tim came in with a competitive bid for the right scope of work. Cheaper comes with a cost. Go with knowledgeable firm like Efficiency Air, who rates also were reasonable and not the most expensive. For folks living in LA County: Beginning on October 1, 2019, condensing and non-condensing furnaces sold or supplied within the boundaries of The South Coast Air Quality Management District must comply with a NOx Emission limit of 14ng/J. Due to EPA regulations, manufacturers, installers and distributors will no longer be allowed to offer, install or sell non-compliant condensing or non-condensing furnaces. Tim helped me navigate the requirements for documentation with my insurance company (to pay for building code upgrades ), was a great communicator (important as we had to do installation in sync with a roofer) and his team very professional. Enjoying my new HVAC system in these 90 degree days/and ecobee thermostat (easier than Nest!). Thank you Tim & Efficiency Air.

Dean and his crew were very professional, installing everything in one day. They came at 7:00am and we're gone by 2:30 cleaning up after themselves and showing me how to work the equipment. We could not be happier. Dean is very nice, even before he started the job, answering all my mirad of questions via text. We have never had an air conditioner in our house before so this was from scatch and I was worried about different aspects of the job. There was no pressure selling or up selling once they got here. Dean asked if I wanted a WI-FI thermostat, but I said no and that was it. No pressure. The price I was quoted was the price I paid. Thank you Dean and thank you to your crew. Tim with Efficiency Air out of Ventura, Ca was great. I selected Efficiency Air after receiving three bids. Tim personally bid the job and followed with a second visit when I informed him of my decision to award the bid. Tim was on-site during the entire installatIon. He and his crew replaced my heating and air conditioning units plus new ductwork in less than one day. I was very impressed with his approach to planning the job and executing every aspect efficiently. I would definitely recommend Tim Mitchell to anyone.

I would like to commend Efficiency Air. We wanted to move our furnace into the attic and got three quotes for the project. Tim Mitchell, the owner, is a specialist in duct design, quoted the project personally, and was on-site during the installation making sure the job went smoothly. They installed a new heater in our attic, with new air ducts, vents and an air purifier/filter. They were extremely efficient, the team was very friendly and polite, and did a fantastic job. Our old heater was very loud and we can barely tell when the new heater is running! One thing I did not expect is how much space the new ducting created in the attic. The layout, and the configuration are fantastic. The quote they gave us was excellent, literally half the price of the highest company. One company also wanted to charge us an annual fee of $400 to come and replace the filters which is not necessary with the system we got from Efficiency Air. Both of the other quotes wanted 2 to 3 days to do the project and Efficiency Air completed the job in 6 hours.

When was the last time somebody did something exactly as they said they would? I am pleased to be able to answer that question in an affirmative way because of the recent installation of a heat pump system by Tim Mitchell and his crew. With the onset of this heat wave which is supposed to last a while, I am sitting in a perfectly cooled upstairs office in my home and constantly reminded of the integrity and workmanship by Efficiency Air Inc., Timâ s company. Just like so many of the other reviews on this page, I am in agreement with the positive comments and the work was finished (and I mean correctly completed) in one day. This was no small matter and the attic work alone was performed carefully and in sync with everyone else to complete what seemed to me a fairly complicated job. Later in the year when the weather drops below 50° which is cool for SO CAL, I know I will be sitting in my cozy warm office due to this same heat pump system. I highly recommend this company, I suffered through 3 other sales pitches prior to meeting Tim, who is straight up about his business, experience, and practices. He doesnâ t do shortcuts or play any of the add on games that bump prices after the fact. We may live in a temperate part of the state, but we still need the niceties of quality and affordable heating and air. One more thing, good communication seems like a lost art in this day and age but this will not be a problem if you use Efficiency Air, instead be prepared for great communication followed by action from start to finish. It is quite refreshing.

They solved a pretty difficult problem that required a lot of work, and did so without charging us a lot extra. I recommend them highly.

Tim is very knowledgeable and thorough. When he came out to quote the job, he explained a lot about the systems available and installation process, and encouraged me to follow up with any questions after he provided the bid. He answered questions thoroughly and delivered on all of his promises. His bid wound up being very competitive (I got 4 and this was very reasonable, beating competition by thousands). I was particularly blow away by his installation approach, which got the whole job done (replaced furnace, add AC, replace ducting, add zoning) in ONE DAY! This is the only way to have HVAC installed. All of his crew members were great; friendly, hard working, and incredibly tidy. By the only evidence they'd been there here was cool air and the box for the new thermostat on the counter. Not so much as a scrap of insulation left in the driveway. HVAC is a major investment and it's got to be done right. Tim and Efficiency Air deliver!
