Overland Plumbing

This was a full replacement of the water pipes in the house. I'd had the 3 leak in about 6 years and decided that after the latest one (in the foundation) that I should just replace the pipes. If you have ever considered doing this, it is a bigger mess than contractors would lead you to believe. I literally had 50 holes of various sizes inside and outside my house when they were finished. I chose to have another contractor do the drywall, stucco repairs and painting because although Overland offered to include that part, I felt other contractor who specifically do that work, would do a better job. So keep in mind the repair and painted my cost another %50 of the cost of the repiping. I chose Overland becuase Geremi was good in explaing what was going to be done. Their bid replaced the values and hardware outside the walls whereas some contractors were connecting the new copper to the existing hardware unless I wanted to pay more. Some of the comments on this site indicate that they were expensive, but I found their bid to be among the lowest. The quality seems good (i.e. nothing is leaking!). They showed up on time every day (btw the job took a week to complete) and the workers were all courteous. They also did some extra things that were an improvement to the way the pipes were run (e.g. instead of the overflow on the water heater draining into the garage, they piped it outside). The negatives for not being a perfect 5: 1. The mess. They should have covered furniture and areas before beginning work. My wife has not happy with all the dust on everything. They did cover afterwards, but that should have been SOP. 2. The number and size of holes in the walls. I've never done this before so I'm not sure how many they were supposed to make, but from other contractors comments they could have been less. 3. Project lead over sight. Not really bad, but my expectation would be the lead (e.g. Geremi) would have stopped by each day to check progress and discuss with me

Hugo showed on time. Installed a new toto toilet. Removed and hauled away old one. Very professional job.

I wish all my home repair experiences had been as great as this one. Here I is wonderful! He's knowledgable, hardworking, neat, and very pleasant. I will always use him in the future.

Amazing company! Geremi's team was on-time, professional, worked fully each day they were on the job and cleaned up after each day's work. We truly enjoyed this team. The only thing to note is that this contractor charged top dollar for its service, but they did a fantastic job.

They were so professional. They were able to answer all the questions in regards to the project. Their quote was completely fair and based on a quote I'd had from another company, very reasonable. They got the work done in a timely fashion and left my kitchen clean and tidy and when they had to actually remove a cabinet frame to fit the water heater in they didn't charge extra. After soome trouble with the scheduling, Hugo showed up at 7 pm, assessed the situation and was able to provide a solution, quickly and professionally. Hugo is very experienced and was very open about my options and suggestions for solutions. Overall I am pleased with Overland and would definately use them again and recommend them to friends

First of all, I had a problem with communication but the customer service was very nice to resolve it. She was great !! The worker was friendly and professional. I will use them again.

First reaction was they did a very good job. I'm a retired tradesman so the first thing I notice is the quality. The pipe work was top notch. The temp braces they put up were not very good but it is temporary so I'll fix that later. I wasn't home to see the work but my wife was. Said to see if they could hook up the sink and washer for us while they were there. They did that and a bit more at no extra charge. That was a BIG plus for me. They did call after 8am, their appointment time, to reschedule because of an emergency. Being in the trades I understood. It was a Saturday so no worries.

Hugo was quick and knew exactly what I wanted. Gave me a few options and we settled on the one that worked best. Had a outdoor garden faucet added to the front of my property. Hugo made sure it was also easy to fix in the future without me even asking which is a plus to me.

The entire experience was wonderful. Right from the initial appointment setting call from Elaina from their office, to the time Geremi came to my house on time, to the end, I was really happy in their delivery of what they promised. I actually fielded calls from DrainMasters (who wanted a minimum of 2 hours of billable time to just come over, claimed that he had 22 years of experience, and didn't want to assure me that he would even complete the job), from ADN Plumbing who wanted $295 to come out to do the job as not the cheapest plumber), and a few others who just left quick messages. However, the one that was reassuring, and convincing, and believable was Elaina at Overland Plumbing, who gave me an on-the-phone estimate of $170, and told me that there could be additional charges at $95/hour if other issues were found. Geremi came a few minutes ahead of the scheduled time. He listened to my summary of the problem (clogged main pipeline in my front yard). He was professional, and provided a written estimate ahead of the job. Without causing any additional harm to my main pipe cover (and cleaning it) he used a snake with a camera to survey the issue. He cut the roots and silt that had seeped into the pipe (Pardee Homes who built the houses in my gated community did a cheap job by not having a continuous pipe, and instead just laid a bunch of pipe pieces next to each other, which make them susceptible to roots and silt clogging the pipes). He showed me the camera in the entire length of the 50' main pipeline to show me that he had cleared the pipe, and showed me the roots he had expunged from the pipe. He billed me the exact amount he had quoted at the start, cleaned up after himself, and left within 1 1/2 hours. I think Geremi from Overland Plumbing did a stellar job, and I would consider using the $20 off coupon he provided on the fridge magnet he left back with me (along with his business card). I would recommend to other home owners, and would use them again myself if this problem should arise in 6-12 months (Jeremi's estimate), since the alternative of changing the entire pipe would be much more expensive ($7K).

Prompt and reliable

You were at my house three hours after I called them. They installed a pressure regulator on my mainline and fixed a tricky toilet. Work was done in less than 90 minutes very professional.

quote over phone is not the same as what they charge. job took about 20 minutes and they charged me twice the amount of what was quoted over the phone.

There was no 4-hour window with the appointment. The appointment was scheduled for 11AM and the plumber called me at 10:15 to say he would be 15 minutes early !!!

They found the unit was under a recall and worked with the manufacturer to replace the unit, saved me a lot of money.
