Description of Work: Bathroom sink drain was clogged. Cleaned the drain...... Biggest problem was working on my bath tub leaking problems. Other plumbers looked at the 1948 fixtures and didn't want to deal with them. Chris took it on. He replaced all fixtures with new state of the art "modern fixtures". No more leaking, no more wasting water. I don't have extra money available for these kind of repairs......I feel like I got a bargain for what he did.

+ -1 moreI made an appointment for this company to come out on a Friday to install a disposal/button switch that I had already purchased. The plumber was punctual and very nice. I asked him to give me an estimate, which he did - $239. Since this was a labor-only job, and I knew from previous experience that it should take about an hour or so, I asked him how he came up with an estimate of $239. He immediately copped an attitude and stated that "in this area" the going rate was $175 an hour. (Translation: You live in an affluent area so we are going to overcharge you.) I told him that seemed a bit high, and asked if he would do the job for $200. He stated that they don't normally dicker with customers on an estimate, but that he would do it for $200. He completed the job in about an hour, and the work was fine. The reason Boden Plumbing is getting a "B" instead of an "A" is because they tried to overcharge, and because the technician got an attitude with me.

+ -1 moreI called 3 vendors, one in Napa, one in Sonoma (Boden) and one in Concord (about 26 miles away). The Napa vendor didn't even bother to come out and preferred to do a ballpark by phone. While the Concord vendor was extremely friendly and helpful, I did realize that the company was regional (west coast) and although the cost was significantly less, I chose Boden plumbing for the following reasons: Boden is a local, family owned company Their service was extremely prompt, friendly, professional and courteous. They were out the next day for the estimate and arrived when they said they would. Their product (Bradford-White) is top rated by contractors (did a lot of research) and made in the USA. Lastly, they have a 6 year FULL product and service warranty - any problem, they'll take care of. Although I spent a little more money than I would have with the Concord company, the warranty is by far worth it. I believe it's important to support local businesses, especially family owned and especially during these hard economic times. I would like others to keep this in mind when choosing a vendor. They worked quickly, and left no mess whatsoever. Lastly, they helped show me the basics of my new hot water heater and offered to help any time I had questions. I highly recommend Boden Plumbing for replacing your hot water heater. In the future, I will be calling this company for any other plumbing needs I have. These guys were just great!
