It's 1:28 in the morning and I can't sleep because I just have images of Krista's rudeness to me today racing through my head. She treated me like dirt, walking away when I was talking and giving me a haughty, superior attitude. When I implied that if the house were only SHOWN, it would sell (based on the fact that it was shown 3 times in 9 weeks and those showings resulted in two offers and a second showing) she said that I got lucky with my offer -like it was a freak thing. This from a broker who never took the time to look at my beautiful backyard (that I worked on for 50 hours planting flowers, laying rock, etc.) because she saw it 4 years ago, a broker who doesn't seem to get the difference between a beautifully remodeled home and a whitetrash 70's gold lame bathroom. My home, due to countless hours researching MLS listings, is listed way under value (there is nothing in my price range that has 4 bedrooms, a two car garage, and my square footage -let alone the $150K remodel, the two decks with a river view, the hardwood floors, the impressive staging...). Even though I would love for this sale to fall through so I can re-list with another broker (there are two dying to take the listing at a higher price), I signed the offer's paperwork -and Krista will get her commission for doing nothing but lowering my price, then giving the buyers a discount for basically hooking up the ice machine on my new stainless refrigerator. If only she would use her selling skills on potential buyers -instead of selling Sellers to lower their prices. I only have myself to blame. I listed with the wrong agents.
